I would guess NBC just wanted the show gone - and P&G must have too if they sold it. I can't imagine anyone actually having faith in a vehicle for a woman who had not been seen in a major role in almost thirty years. This wasn't exactly Garbo. I wish some of From These Roots was available. I especially would like to see Barbara Berjer's work.

I guess the Phillips must have gone - I always wondered if Irna had any major role beyond supervising anyway. Tom looks like a beach party extra. Nick has his mouth hanging open. I love it. It's nice to see Rosetta Lanoire (I have an article with her somewhere, from a year or two after this, when she played Peggy or Vera's mother on AW). Do you know anything about Erin Conner? So what was Bill Sims' story? Was this the first Vietnam story ever on daytime? I hadn't heard anything about it. A shorter cast summary and a few different photos.

I wish they'd keep him around, he had a very menacing yet subtle presence that most soap villains haven't had in a long time. If they can't keep him then I wish they could find the guy who played Sam Owen's friend Andy on Hollyoaks. He was fantastic - charismatic, menacing, attractive, evil.

Wow I guess Charlie really did want to leave. I will miss Darren, even if he isn't exactly a fantastic character - soaps need those type of goofy supporting figures who sometimes have lead story. That's what US soaps lost when they began dying out. (and he also had a nice ass)

Really? I guess I can see why Zoe might go, since she's had a big career before EE and hasn't been used much, but Charlie who stayed even when his entire family hit the road and he had little to do?

I really enjoyed his relationship with Max. That hasn't been seen lately. Instead it seems like Max is heading more towards the sour Tanya-obsessed figure I have little time for. They could have done a lot with Vanessa but they hit the brakes very early on and it's only been a matter of time since. I will never understand what happened there.

Essentially Sinead's bio mother showed up and wanted to go away with Sinead. She wanted nothing to do with Finn because she got depression or something with him and she can't stand being near him. Sinead told her to leave. Through all of this, Diane continues to be the world's biggest agoraphobic. I guess you saw the thrilling stuff where Sinea's father was suddenly revealed a perv and fled in shame? Brilliant writing typical of Paul Marquess.

Botox Barbie's boyfriend, the evil cop Nick, took her hostage. Andy, who was a suspect in the fire, saved her. Andy is now dating Leyla's sister Alicia, who is stealing money from the Woolpack to help pay for nice things for her beloved son "J-Cup." Val's ward, Amy, still looks like she's 50, but is still passed off as 17. She had cheap sex with Cain after he split from Charity. She really wants David, who encourages her, as he doesn't realize how she feels about him. Declan is now a power-mad monster who wants to buy up everything. He is feuding with John Barton. John has driven his son Adam away through overwork and demanding behavior. Adam is or was dating Declan's boring and pointless daughter, and is now nailing Declan's boring and pointless wife, Ella. Declan's boring and pointless father, Dermot, is being dumped by producers like the bad smell that he is. Hannah Barton feels overlooked, as always, and had cheap sex with a skinhead farmhand who washed his hands of her as soon as he got some. Chas owns half of the Woolpack. Kelly Windsor hit Jimmy over the head. He no longer remembered his life with Nicola, or their child. Kelly passed a little boy off as her son with Jimmy. This went on for a while, but Jimmy is finally getting his memory back. Debbie's boyfriend has a secret. Cain and Charity split up yet again and now she is with Jai. Jai fired Faye because of her interference in these games. Faye left town. Cain burgled Jai's home and Ryan became a suspect. A disgusted Ryan left town after he was cleared. Gennie wants Nikhil but can't tell him. When Lisa realized Derek was going to rape Lizzie, she finally went to the police. It doesn't look good for her, but the trial has started.

Tracy Barlow returned and her entire case was thrown out because of a technicality. After being even more of a bitch than usual and sleeping with David and Nick for no real reason, she was hit over the head. Claire did this because Tracy insulted Ashley. Claire's friends helped her flee the country with her sons. Becky's sister Kylie returned and has married David for a money scheme. Maria went to work for Carla after she quit the salon due to David being nasty to her and Audrey not taking her side. Carla encouraged her to tart up for a client, Frank. He was very aggressive with her and Maria felt this was attempted rape, but Carla convinced her to keep quiet. Frank made trouble for Maria, and when Carla decided to leave her in charge, Maria ruined the business. After some weeks, Maria did press charges, but it was too late. Carla took Frank's side and forced Maria out of Underworld. Maria's boyfriend, the thuglike Chris who beat his last girlfriend Cheryl, beat Frank. Nick and Leanne had sex again after Peter's accident. Leanne then dropped him, but Tracy found out, and told Peter. He had a hissy fit on their blessing day and whacked Nick with his brace, but forgave her in about a day and they went on a honeymoon with Simon. Leanne is now competing with Cheryl over their sons. Tracy knows that Becky bought Max from Kylie. She is trying to win Steve back. Amy lives with her now because she forced them to give Amy up or she would tell about Max. Becky looted from Dev's store to pay Kylie, so when Dev found out about this, he hit the roof. So did Liz, briefly back from Spain. With pressure from all sides, Becky and Steve planned to run away with the kids, until Jim returned and robbed a bank in a failed attempt to buy the Rovers for Liz. Jim went to prison. Liz fucked off back to Spain, for good this time. Kevin won money in a lottery. After much shaming and abuse from Sally, he gave her all the money. She still hates him. So does Tyrone. Tyrone and his new friend Tommy Duckworth delight in tormenting him all the time. Sally is now happy with Jeff, who lied to her about his real name and who shoots porn and before he knew who Sally was, tried to get Rosie to get a boob job. Sally doesn't care, and told the girls to accept Jeff or else. Sophie, feeling like no one, girlfriend or family, wanted her, got drunk and fell off a roof. She recovered in about five minutes. Stape killed Colin Fishwick's mother to keep his secret. He had a nervous breakdown. While he was in treatment, Fiz pretended to be Colin's wife to get money to keep the family going. John is back and is still having a nervous breakdown. Chesney and Katy are living together and she's pregnant. Eddie and Anna took in a foster child named Faye, but once she started acting up, Eddie suddenly became so repulsed that he took a job in Germany and abandoned his family for good. Gary had PSTD for about a month but then magically recovered. Eileen, in one of the typical Eileen stories that has no purpose, was arrested for embezzling money from Owen to help pay for roof repairs. Roy's mother Sylvia arrived, and couldn't be a bigger Blanche ripoff if she wore Mr. Magoo glasses. Sean got back in contact with Violet and thought he was going to see their son, Dylan. They forgot he was coming. Violet and Jaime split up over her whoring around. Just in case the show did not completely destroy Violet, she then basically said she did not want her son around Sean because she didn't want her son to be a big fat flaming poof. Sean returned home, pouting, but his ex Marcus, who is suddenly in love with Sean again in spite of the awful way Sean treated him, is back. Todd returned for one episode and is suddenly a complete self-loathing wimp who is ashamed of his family and only grudgingly accepted them because his posh boyfriend ordered him to do so. Tina forced Graeme to marry her longtime friend Xin, who was going to be deported if she didn't have a husband. Tina is now upset over this and she and Graeme fight all the time. This story is so thrilling that Michelle Keegan trashed it in the press. After losing her job at Underworld for the 4584534893 time, Janice left for a life of traveling with her old binman/lodger/crush, Trevor. Claudia's boyfriend is a drag queen and Audrey knows it.

I don't think even the writers or producers could tell you that. As far as I can tell...Brendan was outed by Ste. Ste is dating Noah. Brendan admitted he is gay, and gave Ste another beating (because on Hollyoaks beating = love). Some con artist named Jenny or Rebecca, who also had a past with Doug, kidnapped Rhys to get money over Danny Houston's death. She tried to drug and rob Silas, not knowing he was a serial killer. Fatal mistake. Silas is still in the clear, as the police suspect Brendan. Mitzee, in some revenge against Warren, got him to confess that he killed Louise. Liberty's two brothers, Dodger and Will, arrived in town. Dodger beds various ladies, while Will is more geeky. He loves Teresa, but she still wants Ethan. Gaz and Heidi and Mercedes and Carl were sleeping together. Everyone found out about Gaz and Heidi, but only Seth knows about Mercedes and Carl. Ruby and Sinead make life hell for Esther because they think bullying is fun.

I'm glad you enjoyed the interview. I did too - it's so nice to see a less cut and paste type of feature with an actor, and Robin is fascinating.
