  1. Lucy Allan was first credited in August 2021, while Dunn exited in December. However, whatever producer was in charge, I think either the production company (Lime Pictures) or the network went above their heads and it was out of the show's hands because Mandy was being written for consistently and wonderfully since her return in 2016 with no hints of them losing favour. To my astonishment, Kirkwood, who had written for her horribly during his first stint, somehow managed to figure her out when he brought her back. I'll hold on to the fact that we had a few solid years of her before we lost her.
  2. Thanks for bringing over that obituary of him, much appreciated!
  3. How did you learn of Michael Ingram's passing? Is there an obituary anywhere?
  4. I won't lay what happened with Sarah Jayne Dunn/Mandy at her feet, but I'll never forgive her for killing off Verity and Justin. She's a damn fool.
  5. I completely disagree. Alex Fletcher is one of the best actors to ever be on the show. Kirkwood letting Diane out of the house and giving her a solid status on the show by pairing her with Tony was one of his better ideas in his second stint. Probably never would have lasted if Claire Cooper hadn't of left. Tony and Cindy were always an awful pairing and never should have happened. And Grace the cold blooded murderer, whose whole family is also dead, should have been written out ages ago.
  6. Another young soap actor has left us. Johnny Ruffo, who played Chris Harrington from 2013-2016 has passed away after a battle with brain cancer. He was 35. https://thewest.com.au/entertainment/celebrity-death/johnny-ruffo-home-and-away-star-has-passed-away-after-battle-with-brain-cancer--c-12506618
  7. We still have no idea who she's playing. Rita seemed to imply she isn't playing Mandy on Twitter. The Hannah news very much surprised me. It'll be so good to see her again, but of course, I'm weary at they'll be doing with her.
  8. Shannon Wilcox, Actress in ‘Songwriter,’ ‘Six Weeks’ and ‘Dallas,’ Dies at 80 Like most character actors, you might not have known her name, but you most likely saw her in something at some point.
  9. Max Ehrich always being so ... "gracious" to his fans.
  10. I loved the little bit I saw of her Angelique before life got in the way of me continuing to watch Dark Shadows. Haven't been able to pick it up again for various reasons. Her, Suzanne Somers, Piper Laurie. That's three, time for a break world.
  11. Suzanne Somers right after Piper Laurie is just too much. Growing up she was always a presence between Three's Company reruns, Candid Camera, Step by Step, and that damn thigh master. At least her and Joyce DeWitt buried the hatchet years before. Always loved her.
  12. I've only been lucky enough to see her work on Twin Peaks, but she was still able to make an indelible mark on me. A wonderful actress. RIP
  13. Him and Tamara Braun (and most unfortunately Greg Rikaart) are definitely still filming so they're all around until at least March.
  14. She made the right choice in terms of longevity, but thankfully we still got Alexa Havins as Babe, who was a star. Who could she have been on OLTL? She said all the networks, so passing on DAYS during the Brash & Cwikly/Higley 1.0/JER 2.0 year was a smart choice. Couldn't even begin to guess who she could have ended up being on one of the CBS shows. I wonder why the shows wanted her so badly over seemingly anyone else from PC.
  15. Happy 100 Glynis Johns!!!
  16. In case anyone else might think it was interesting like I do,I made a list per year of when all the characters (that have accumulated at least 10 episodes) last aired. Do not mind the way I listed their names, just something funny on my part. Obviously 2023 will be edited when 2024 begins.
  17. Same sentiments as DR. I honestly was not familiar with his work, but because of you I know now that I have to rectify that.
  18. I was randomly looking it up today and saw that it the newly discovered footage was uploaded a couple weeks ago. It almost hurts more that it's in such great condition. Starts at around :36.
  19. That makes me no sense whatsoever, but okay bud.
  20. In my early teens (looking it up it was 2003-05) there was a show called Train 48. I never watched it myself, but it took place on the train where a lot of the dialogue was improvised.
  21. Summer 2003 was when I first watched GH, which was the first time watching an ABC soap. I was an impressionable 13/14 years old at the time and Robin Christopher/Skye quickly became my favourite on the show. I didn't know the history of the show or the character, or anything about Brenda, who I was not in favour of against Skye or even Carly (at that point). I am one of the people that think Robin Christopher deserved the Emmy more that year, even in retrospect. However, the knowledge I have now, I never would have put her on GH in the first place and done all that nonsense. She belongs on AMC, where I'd make her Stuart's daughter once and for all. In all that time, I've also come around to appreciate Brenda and her history on the show and very much enjoy the in-depth discourse that's been had about her here. Time is a funny thing though, because I swear that in the past my now minority opinion about Robin Christopher was the majority here.
  22. For some reason, Corday is really taken with Galen Gering. He only worked on the show during the time Rafe was running some club after being fired from being a cop for a reason I don't remember. I do think he succeeds when they give him comedy. That's where his talent lies. Probably should have been more of a Eugene instead of a bad Roman rip-off.
  23. To my knowledge I've never watched David McCallum in anything, but this little factoid about him was very cool when I saw it posted on another forum.
  24. Had to post this great anecdote Beverlee McKinsey shared about Ruth Warrick!
