Some of the ideas I see are ingenious and so full of creativity and passion for the genre. It's what people want to see on their screens and I just hope that talent doesn't get squandered. Members MrQuartermaine Posted December 30, 2012 Members Share Posted December 30, 2012 As someone in the soap industry, I see more and more younger writers coming in, an increasingly large amount of whom have been fans. With only four soaps left, it is all about who you know. On GH, you see characters like Anna, Robert, Duke, Faison, Felicia, Lucy, etc. return because the current writing team grew up with those characters. And that's not just in Daytime, but in other TV shows & movies. It's one of the reasons movies like The Smurfs, Transformers, & The Muppets and TV shows like Dallas, 90210, & Melrose have all returned.
