Make it happen, Sony and CBS!
Pratt's firing gives me hope that someone out there knows these shows suck and are trying to fix things. Whether it works over the long haul is to be seen though, but it's an optimistic start.
So many people thought Pratt would be writing AMC's finale, let's hope Maria Arena Bell, Hogan Sheffer, and Scott Hamner won't be writing Y&R's finale and we'll get a more competent writing team.

Why do you think an ABC decision concerning a low-rated show would prompt Sony and CBS to do anything?
And can we please stop talking about Y&R having a finale? It's more morbid than Hogan Sheffer's writing!

Pratt is a high profile writer that was touted as AMC's savior, and he was BFF's with the head of ABC Daytime. No one thought he would be fired, at least not this soon. AMC is actually up in the ratings, for the most part, too.
So, if surprises can happen there, they can surely happen at Y&R. What part of that sentiment did you not understand?
If there's someone out there that sees Y&R in in need of some creative revamping, there might be more hope left for the show than we thought. No one expected anyone see the disaster Pratt was at AMC, at least not this fast.

Well, she hasn't killed 16 million people, so I think that's a bit strong.

That's kind of... Not really true. It's quite the opposite, even though her interviews say something different. But in interviews you can present yourself as you wish...
