Great JJF scenes. Reeves brought saome real acting to the scenes today. We've seen it all before, but we've had a break from them, so I enjoyed it all the same, especially now that Jack's out of the hospital. I loved Jack taking responsibility. That's not often something you see from Jack, so I liked that. Is that...character growth? Wow.

LMAO @ Sami and Kate running into each other. I enjoyed Sami having scenes outside of the apartment. I can't believe Austin proposed to her "tonight". Oi. So, Carrie found out she was never pregnant, Austin proposed to Sami, Sami confessed all to EJ, Austin slept with Carrie, Lucas went to give Will his permission form, and Sami went down to the station all in one night? Huh.

Loved Bo getting Kate's phone records. Oh, "favors".

Nice seeing Eve and Sami revisited. Looks like Eve's other boss is spying on them. Eve is starting to get nervous.

One night can last three months on Passions, so I don't see why this night seems especially long to people.

And if we step outside that quad, then Steve and Kayla flew to Cincinnati, spent time in a bar, met his commonlaw barskank wife, Kayla few back to Salem, shared chocolate cake and broken-heart stories with Stephanie, Steve broke up with the barskank, he flew back to Salem, made up with Kayla, went to see Bo and they struck a deal to help each other.

All in one night.

Does anyone remember the day of John and Marlena's wedding?

- The Wedding

- Roman's Return

- Eric's Return

- Austin and Carrie were about to give Sami the annulment papers like 42 times.

I think that day went on for about five weeks! Early July to like mid August. It was ridic.

Don't they also have witches and lesbian armies on Passions? It just think it's ridiculous to stretch a single day over 2 or 3 weeks when it puts such huge constraints on what characters you can use when, not to mention the way it forces characters to do things normal people would never do (take business calls at 3a, get dressed and go to the police station in the middle of the night), not to mention the way it forces us to ignore the laws of physics, NOT TO MENTION the way it gives us circular conversations that cover the same territory over and over and over and over and OVER.

It's just annoying and lazy. Learn how to pace a damn story.

Maybe because some of us are sick of it?

Well, ya better get used to it, because days and nights are supposed to drag on a lot longer bc of the budget cuts.

  • Member

How on earth do budget cuts affect how long a day lasts? Costuming can't cost THAT much.

  • Member

Well speaking of cloths and budget.. if that's really the issue... In Croatian soaps, some character can be seen wearing a T-shirt for a few days (1 soap day) and then after few months (few soap weeks) you can see him/her wearing the same T-shirt again! And I don't really have a problem with that... so if saving cloths and reusing them later on can save some budget, then do it! :D

That's bull. People can start recycling clothes. They can even use their own wardrobes. Budget cuts does not logical condone longer days. Sorry.

Look at the old clips from the 80s. The actors used to reuse clothes all the time. There were certain blouses or shirt or dresses that we'd see all the time. It's what normal people do with their clothes, for heaven's sake.

Thank you.

Yeah, I don't see why there would be any link between the budget and the length of each soap day. It's pure laziness on the part of the writers.
