I can't wait for Beth's stuff to start showing up. It's not like the show is bad right now, it's just in a very boring stalemate. The same crap day after day. Same characters, etc. It's starting to become a little too much Sami/Austin/Carrie/Lucas for my tastes. Why not show Jack/Jen more cause they are LEAVING soon?

I want Marlena to go through all this, and J&M bonding over it. And I want John to remind her what he told her in the hospital, that if everything went ok with the baby, he would be its father.

So I guess it's back to EVERYONE pimps Bo and Hope huh? Marlena was still suffering going through HELL, being drugged and brainwashed, yet Bo needed her to fix Hope.

Now, now Pest Spray -- Steve and Bo have always had a special relationship and I think it's awesome that someone is remembering that. I want Marlena and John both involved in this story pronto, maybe even more than you do, but I'm willing to be patient. :P It's not really pimping, since there's real history there.

She was headwriter of DAYS from January to June 1992 with Richard Allen. The show wasn't great then...but I think Langan was calling all the shots at the time so Milstein/Allen would not have had much creative control. They did write the "One Stormy Night" primetime special, which I loved. This is the only time she has been headwriter of a show.

She was a breakdown writer on DAYS from the late 80's to the early 90's. Recently, she was a scriptwriter on B&B. Her dialogue was pretty good.

I just read an article/chat with Stephen Nichols where he said he didn't expect Jack and Steve to have any more scenes at all. He said once an actor is leaving Days they tend to remove him from the screen fairly quickly and out of all other storylines. :(

Interesting though that when asked about Matt leaving he said how much he was going to miss him, how much story he thought there was for Jack/Steve and was confident that he would be back playing Jack in the future. :)

I honestly can see Matt returning yet again, maybe a year from now... who's to say Jack and Jenn don't separate off-screen again? And they can always bring Matt and Missy back for family events.

Well that sucks but that last line is very promising. Matt refused to comment on his exit in SOW so I wonder if something else is going on-maybe he is only leaving for a short time again or something. That is interesting though.

I know that ever since the news broke that Matt was leaving I have read several postings on the net saying that Hogan wanted to keep Matt on the show (he supposedly had not one but two stories for him) but was overruled by Corday. And another interview with Steve that I read before I went on vacation talked about Steve's hope that the new writer would find a way to bring Matt back.

So, who knows, maybe six months down the line he will come back? :)

Not my point. My point is that Bo and Hope always need others to fix things for them. First they used Marlena - who'd just gone through hell (for 3 years no less), now they're using Steve. Both amnesiacs. Hopefully Steve will speak as much sense as Marlena did to Hope because Mar said everything Hope had to hear, and made more sense in that minute than Bo and Hope had in months, combined, split and whatever.

I apologize. In your initial post, it didn't come across that way. I think we'll see a change in the pimping with both Beth and Hogan -- after all, this is not ABCD and there's no one (aside from Corday) who is around to influence our writers.

    • I could've sworn FV let other people direct either here or at OLTL. I may be wrong. IIRC Kimberly is now very active directing multi-cam/sitcom work.
    • IIRC MVJ said the million was just the first piece of what Leslie got or was already owed, something they did make explicit in dialogue but not too explicit. Still, I am past worrying about it. I do think they want 30-yo elder millennial Peaches in her Sophia Petrillo wig to be a point of pathos for Leslie. In theory I am fine with that, and don't dislike Peaches despite the jarring physical disconnect and need for a recast lol. But I do think they do a lot of B&B-style whizzing from Point A to Point C with Leslie on this kind of stuff - in one scene she is raising hell, in the next she is weeping over Peaches. There's very little transition to that sometimes that allows for the nuance, and that can be done much better and they can go much deeper with Leslie (and most characters). The newer/younger audience for the show may have less issue with this kind of quick change than we do.

Thank you.   That was part of my reasoning as well. I think about the days of Kevin, Joey, and Jessica on OLTL or Lucky/Liz/Nik/Sarah/Emily on GH or the Last Blast Kids on DAYS or the Glow by Jabot kids, and it takes me back. Sure I started soaps due to the older cast with their divas, but I do like to see people around my age back then, too. Great memories.   So I love a good relatable teen tale. Bullying. Hormones for the Bad Boy. College choices and internal conflict.
    • Thank you for the information.  I did listen to the entire interview with Miss Roux -- way back when it was first released.  But I am unable to recall her mentioning Connie Ford, and don't have time nor effort to listen to the entire thing again, just for one small morsel. So again, thanks for responding.    I do recall Roux sounded extremely fragile and perhaps a bit wounded in the interview. I almost felt guilty for even listening to it.  So perhaps that has some influence on my reluctance to listen to it again.  She seemed troubled, to say the least.
    • Boxer-briefs, huh?   Well...called it on Cane/Giggly Heffa hooking up so not surprised.
    • Do you have Addie’s first air date??
    • Even now Victor is always so warm with Ashley. I liked their brief re-pairing as well.
    • @depboy Thanks. That does help. @titan1978 @Paul Raven Really enjoying the analysis of the production methods and what Monty was doing.  I wish we got some of those biopics here that a few UK soaps got as a biopic on Monty's first few years at GH would be fascinating.
    • The original 'mansion' was one of the set upgrades they did in 1980 . It was the Chandler residence. When that story fizzled out I think it became Stuart Whyland's house -not 100 on that. But it was revealed that Stuart was working for the Di Mera's (rewrite) so Stefano moved into that house. Mmmm...then it became Alex Marshall's? Neil and Liz lived there also. At some point it was finally replaced.
    •   Thanks. I'm glad she got to as I know some producers tend to get mad if actors want to direct.
