Passions: Monday

Well, I have a few things to say about today:

Lindsay Korman was awesome. Just amazing. I don't think this is the best we've EVER seen her like some people are saying, but I think this is the best we've seen her in a long, long, long, LONG time. And that fact combined with the fresh dialogue made it seem like it was her best performance. She was awesome. She really hit it out of the park. I really do not like Ethan anymore. Looking forward to Theresa vs. Gwen. I wonder why Gwen is so mad. She should be happy. Noah/Theresa would be very hot. Dylan and Lindsay would scorch things up. I hope they go that route. On the writers' part, they did a good job making this a turning point in their relationship by citing the time it's taken and the "enchanted house of hopes and dreams" metaphor and Theresa basically saying "Shut up. I'm serious this time! This is a major turning point!" But I would have liked to see less sad/upset on Theresa and more angry/upset like the dialogue was towards the end. Theresa's been sad about Ethan for five years. I want to see her pissed. And not in the "I'm a Crane now. I'm evil." angry. A relatable, natural, believable angry! Also her dialogue was VERY relatable today. I think we all felt that at one time or another, or will. God, I haven't related to Passions dialogue in at least four years!

Harper and Gering were very good today too. I think I prefer Heskin to Westmore. They're both bad, but Heskin's clearly better to me. To quote Marcellas from Big Brother, "it's like choosing between syphylus and the clap!" But I do prefer Heskin. She's overly dramatic, but at least, it's SOMETHING!

I am going to save some of these moments today on VHS for prosperity. I haven't done that since Gwen stabbed Theresa in the back with the scalpel episode, and before that, Charlie's last episode. (I think.)

Passions afficiandos can say that they love "classic Passions" that is campy, wild, crazy, kooky Passions and special effects Passions and the comedic aspect of Passions. But this episode showed what Passions can do when it actually decides to be an actual soap opera and treats itself like one for once! This is classic Passions to me. It's also the best fit for Passions, IMO.

Yes, Passions was good today.

Kam is bad but at least she has energy.

I agree-at least Kam gives Sheridan energy. I am just hoping Mac pulls a Galen and is better when she returns just like he has been since returning.

The show was great today. One of favortite episodes in years. This is the way Passions used to be-some days campy, supernatural but still have some tradition there. Great stuff today.

Lindsey was amazing and this should be her submission for an emmy nod. Too bad she is on NBC and won't get nothing but Juliet Mills did get in for Passions but that was probably more do to her name then anything else. The dialogue was great and Lindsey was superb. Martsolf even did a decent job and was even crying. Excellent-best stuff they have given Lindsey in years. The ending with Noah and Theresa was hot-if Jared doesn't work out they NEED to go this route- They have had some buildup with the cabin scenes in December and some scenes here and there.

Galen and Harper were great today. I love "Lucy" so much.

Chad is such a jerk. They already ruined Chadney anyway with the incest so they may as well just break them up and give Kerr a better story. I hope they give Simone a story too. I just love how JER said he wanted to please the Chadney fanbase for their patience (what fanbase? ) and then he goes and makes Chad a two timer. Weird  .

Great show today. Great seeing Pilar today too. Can't say the same about Kat and Chris just needs to leave  .

Lindsay Korman Hartley is a star... no question. She was amazing, and definitely one of her best performances.

Everything else was pretty uneventful.

ET's scenes are the kind of REAL drama that Passions needs to do, none of the random, out of left field social issues or rapes or prostitutes. Drama that actually has meaning and relevance to what Passions is and was.

I agree but they can never go all traditional again. I wouldn't mind it because I loved 2004-mid 2005 but eventually Passions lost alot of fans because it got too serious with the rape and stuff. Passions needs to go back to 2000 when they had a good mix of traditional, camp, and supernatural/gothic. They are starting to go in that direction now. This stuff Theresa today kinda reminded me of when Theresa confessed her feeling to Ethan on the prom boat only I liked that story better  .

I see I have missed alot in my absence.

So what has happpened on Passions?

  • Member

Just finished watching my tape.

Lindsay WAS terrific today.

Plot -wise, makes no damn sense why THIS is why Theresa gives up. Should have been something more traumatic - losing Ebait...losing Jane....

She had all the power in the world and made not one move to get her daughter back. That she'd give up Ethan because she feared losing custody of Ebait makes no damn sense.

But, I'll take what I can get, which is a SINCERE Theresa finally giving up on Ebitch.

I didn't watch the episode but I just have to say that I adore Lindsay! She is just an amazing actress, and beautiful!

I wish I could have seen her today

I don't get why if Theresea has all of this Crane power that she DOESN'T uses it to get Jane or make Ethan live in the mansion but kick Gwen out. Instead she uses some stupid method.

Well, it wasn't serious rape issues. It was ridiculous rape issues. It was over the top and convoluted. Passions should be traditional except for The Bennets and Tabitha.

daysfan, basically, Marty and Beth are dead or "dead" again so Luis is grieving. Fancy is emotionally because he is her cousin and she's in love with Luis and kind of doesn't know it yet. Theresa found out Little Ethan was Ethan's, but then Ethan told his friend he (the friend) should sue his mistress for custody of his child and raise it with his wife. So, fearing Ethan would do the same with Little Ethan, Theresa decided that things are definitely over and not to tell Ethan the truth about L.E. So, she dumped him basically. Well, more like, came to grips with the fact that it's never going to happen.

I've always thought that Noah/Theresa would be good together and that end scene convinced me even more.

I'm not against Jared, but Noah/Theresa have the history.

Lindsey was good today.

Can't stand Emily Harper with Galen Gering. I hated the pairing from the beginning. She's just looking for someone to take her mind off Noah. Noah is her great love, just like Sheridan is Luis'. I still don't see the chemistry that all these people think they have, it's not there. They remind me of good friends and that's about it.

Kam Heskin is NOTHING compared to McKenzie. McKenzie IS Sheridan and as much as you people think she's so bad, I don't think so. Granted ther performance has not been that great the last few months before she left to go on maternity leave, but take it from me, the last few months of being pregnant are very difficult and I'm sure she was tired and her performance showed it (even though I did NOT see it).

Since there will be Shuis reunion when she gets back, the "Lunacy" will stop.

McKenzie sucked way before she was pregnant and has been for a couple of years now. I thought she was actually pretty good at first but now she IMO is one of the worst actresses in all of daytime. She is very nice in person as I have met her 3 separate times. I was shocked when I met her in person because she has spunk and energy, its just too bad she doesnt put that energy into her acting anymore.

She puts ZERO effort into her acting, she has been so bad the last 2 or 3 years she should be doing it for minimum wage.
