Well, in October 2025, John Oliver did an exposé on Bari Weiss taking over CBS news. His show is on HBO, and he's been very vocal about dreading Paramount buying HBO.

They must be desperate to scrape the bottom of the barrel with this hack of a talk show host. Still.. any interest is a good thing when it comes to the soaps.

John Oliver's greatest triumph would surely have to be getting the pūteketeke voted in as New Zealand's Bird of the Century back in 2023 (and I can;t believe I only just realized that the whole gag was a subtle allusion to foreign interference in elections)
