Had to clear the system cache for the forum software.

While I rebooted the server and things were working again, a cached version of the site before the reboot triggered the errors again, hence your recent responses.

To be clear, the max_connections error 500 and the funky, big icons are primarily due to the site's cache and are not necessarily evidence of a massive issue. This morning's issue, though, was a bit more problematic: the server load had been about 10-15% daily, but it shot up to 46% this morning. The higher number shouldn't necessarily be problematic for the server, but it was increasing and could have gotten worse as the day progressed.

At times, I must say I do miss the option to share one's random thoughts without making a full-on post about it... ugh!

Just now 11:15am PDT June 12, I got the 'max_user_connections' error and then the large icons error.

It was like traveling through the labyrinth to get in here. 🤣 I had a feeling it was a cache issue. It's fighting tooth and nail. Thanks for all you do, Errol! Truly! You're amazing. I know when responding, it does trigger the errors more than just moving from page to page.

I hit "submit reply" it popped up, I had to click on the board, go back to my post and hit submit reply again for it to go through

I don't know what to say, but this is definitely not legit and is clearly one of the causes, though I'm not seeing these numbers on the server itself:

I've adjusted the cache settings in Cloudflare, specifically for guests, so if you are logged out, you will no longer see the most recent posts. You will be at least four hours behind.

Just clicked on link for the board took me two tries to get on due to the error
