The daytime talk show “Sherri,” hosted by Sherri Shepherd, has been canceled.

The news came just hours after it was announced that “The Kelly Clarkson Show” would also be ending its run after seven seasons, following host Kelly Clarkson‘s decision to step away from the program.

Though “Sherri” will end after four seasons in national syndication, Debmar-Mercury, which produced and distributed the show, says it plans to find a new place for the talk show, with Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus saying, “This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production — which has found strong creative momentum this season — or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd.” They added, “We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.”

Launched in the fall of 2022, “Sherri” replaced “The Wendy Williams Show” on most of the former talk show’s affiliate stations, led by the FOX Television Stations Group.

In March 2025, Debmar-Mercury announced it had renewed “Sherri” for a fourth season, clearing more than 95% of U.S. television households, with the FOX Television Stations, Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna and Sunbeam among the broadcast groups bringing back the nationally syndicated daytime talk show to their fall lineups for the 2025-26 television season.

At the time of its Season 4 renewal, Debmar-Mercury praised the talk show in a press release for its ranking second in Nielsen’s metered markets among all syndicated talkers in February 2025, representing a +33% rise from the show’s performance in November 2024 in the key Women 25-54 sales demographic. On a national level, “Sherri” ranked third overall, rising +17% vs. November and achieving a season high during the week of February 17-21, 2025.

The talk show, taped live from New York City’s Chelsea Studios in front of a studio audience, is a strong performer on social media, particularly on YouTube, where it has garnered more than 760,000 subscribers and routinely generates thousands of views for show clips.

Sad to hear. I liked the show; hopefully, it will find a new home.
