-- Madison was crazy to accept Chelsea's proposal. What's the rush? This just shows Chelsea's immaturity. These are not serious people.

-- Derek's reasons for not trusting Grayson are pathetic. He has none that offer any proof of anything.

-- On the other hand, Ashley is an idiot. She takes that worthless concern and tells Grayson "Tell me something true." Huh??? What kind of conversation is that?

-- Grayson answers Ashley with some ridiculous comment that he's been a bad guy. Again, huh??? That's followed by Ashley LIKING that response and kissing him? Are you kidding me? Then Grayson weirdly runs out the door. Really attractive move there, guy.

-- I'm glad Ted went after Leslie and that the panties thing wasn't drawn out as story.

-- I was again disappointed that Eva is unable to criticize her mother and set boundaries. "Oh, Mawma!" is not enough.

-- We need to see more from Izaiah than sitting Uptown with a beer.

-- I still enjoy Cady M as over-the-top Pamela. Every scene with her is campy fun.

I'm very happy that after that meh Monday, the show bounced back quickly.

And while I'm thinking about it...while I think Grayson will be involved in the blood ring, I don't think he's the Impaler, but per his description in articles, he will be a red herring to the identity but involved somehow.

The character write-up on Grayson did hint that he was raised by a single parent so perhaps in order to support the parent (possibly medical related), he has to work for the Impaler. I also wonder if Kial is also involved in the ring since I believe it was mentioned he was a widow and perhaps he lost his spouse due to something that could have been prevented.

Had a female expressed the same concerns about Grayson due to her instincts, she'd most likely be listened to and believe.. but because it's Derek (a man).. he won't be listened to. Although I think his instincts about Grayson are right, I think the true backstory for Grayson isn't sinister and probably is something to do with his single mother that raised him.

SPS is the reason why restraining orders are a thing.

I wish the show would Dani like this all the time instead of on occasion. She wasn't too over the top, she acted like a rational individual and was even respectful about Eva when talking to Izaiah. Perhaps if she detoxed from Bill completely, she'd become a decent human being (although she has an addictive personality so she'll switch to a new addiction like alcohol, sex, etc)

I'll say it again, but I think Shanice is the best friend Derek has right now.. way better than Pick me Jacob.

Lastly, I don't get the Chelsea/Madison relationship... it reads like a bad YA novel. MVJ and co... please read Emily Henry so you can actually craft a solid 20 something relationship between two individuals.

Yeah, I suspect Grayson is either a red herring or an unwilling accomplice. I would hope he continues on regardless because I do think Jordi is doing solid work and actually has chemistry with Ashley.

Chelsea and Madison's insta-romance grew on me a bit during and then following the kidnapping, after which it was more low-key and they had some more natural material. Now it just seems like a recipe for future disaster, but that can be good drama. I wonder if the mother angle will be picked up again.

I still think Derek is turning psycho.

Mona need to watch it bc she is being very judgemental. She's two seconds away from calling Nicole a hoe

She's always been insufferable (and a class traitor). Never quite understood what you guys were seeing in her.

or repurposing old sets. Looks like Joey lives in Andre's old building

It still drives me insane how they wasted money on that set only to fuel Ashley's 'Paris dream' plot point. Insane.

Anastasia is being cartoonishly nasty. The writers could've done better with her being an elitist.

The whole thing with the club patrons staring at Anita was OTT.

Overall the whole set-up and execution felt forced.

Kinda surprised Joey now has a house AND an office, while Vanessa (a Realtor) has neither.

He has a penthouse! He seems like the most important character on the show next to the big four.

The new set annoys me because:
A) who's going to visit Joey apart from Vanessa? Certainly not Randy.
B) it further cements Joey's place on the canvas. I now believe less and less that he has an expiration date.
C) This show needs offices. Enough with the cafes and enough with the living rooms.

Anita scaring Anastasia like she was going to hit her was an excellent way to embarass her.

I thought it was vile. Any hint at violence and physical menace is vile.

Random comments:
- there's still zero stakes in this show.
- I can't see Shanice as leading lady material, sorry. I liked her better as the hospital's gossip.
- I'm glad you're liking Ashley more and more, yet I don't see what's changed really. Maybe she's whining less than before, I'll give you that.
- Ted is a non-entity.
- Eva, Izaiah, Tomas and a bunch of other characters feel direction-less.

It's a soap. Don't take it so seriously.

I think a few more sets would seriously help with this issue on BTG. Did Joey really need a home even if it was just Andre's apartment redressed?

I do agree with you on the question of whether Joey really needed an apartment but in this case, I just think it's lazy storytelling. They could have sequestered a darkened corner and stuck a sign that said "Hospital Staff Entrance" and had Ted and Shanice find the man splayed out in front of a door. Ted and Shanice are checking for a pulse as the scene goes black. That could have actually played out on a Friday and by Monday, had the man on a gurney on the main floor of the hospital and had the rest of the action play out there. As for Jacob and the informant, use of the area that looked like it was in front of an abandoned warehouse (where Jacob spotted Marcel taking a bribe from Joey) that was used in Season 1 could have sufficed for their rendezvous. As for Jacob and Smitty, they're in-laws, they could go jogging together in the park and it would be unlikely to raise much suspicion.

But yeah, building Naomi an actual office or at least a bedroom for Anita (who might actually need a bed to lay her head with her health needs) would have been a much better use of money than a place for Joey and Vanessa to get it on (especially when they have shown their preference for the craps table in the back room of the casino they normally use).

Is the fact that Leslie has such broad access to Ted's suite going to finally push this show to give Ted a proper apartment, somewhere away from Leslie? This storyline is an insult to everyone's intelligence.

I have no idea why Joey got his own apartment. As has been pointed out, how many people will we see visiting him there besides Vanessa?

I know some of you praised the set, but I continue to think it looks like a Wayfair special. Nothing about it looks expensive.

The location of the fireplace is actually laughable. That was done to get a shot from the other side of it when there's romance going on, and it makes no sense. Is it in the middle of the room?

None of it says Joey is a rich and powerful man. Regardless, the set wasn't needed, especially on a show with so many other needs.

Sets are an area where the show has yet to get into a groove. Unfortunately this seems to be an issue across all soaps at one point or another. I agree that Joey didn't need a set and Vanessa's house could have been a place for them. That would have also allowed for tension from Donnell and Deanna feeling some type of way about Joey being in their father's space.

Still catching up on the week and haven't seen Joey's new place yet but I do agree it's odd to give him of all people a set. If anything, I'd give Vanessa a home and have him move in with her. I guess they can accomplish the same thing if they plan on keeping them together but still an odd choice.

Hopefully this is one step towards retiring the casino set. There has to be something that serves the same purpose but is more pleasant to look at and more reasonable for people to visit. Maybe a discreet restaurant or bar setting?

While I agree, it doesn't help that Frank Valentini makes creating all kinds of sets that don't feel stagnant look effortless over on GH. As the other debatably good show airing right now, it makes the set issues on BTG even more noticeable.

Naomi is an attorney for the underdog , and most of the time they tend to be at the police station more often than an office.. so Naomi not having an office isn't a big deal to me.

It would make more sense to have redressed a set for Vanessa's office where Joey could come to discuss visit and also have it be a front for her 'escort business'. Although having Vanessa's house shown with both of her children not liking Joey being the house and seeing how close they are to 'Aunt Jan' would have been interesting to see.
