I'm all caught up on GH. The show is still entertaining me for the most part. I can't wait for everything to blow up in Chase's face for being an idiot.

The Anthony Geary tribute was done well IMO. I enjoyed the scenes and flashbacks very much.

GH's increased ratings are very much deserved and I hope it continues.

Van's Lucas looked like the girl from The Ring was coming out of his TV during those hysterical scenes with Marco last week. What a fun, camp recast.

As far as Dante/Lulu, the stall has been far too long. Sam's been dead for over a year and the show hasn't even hinted at romance for Dante period. I think there is a clear disdain for Lulu as a character and a real agenda to make her look as bad as possible as she is now creeping in on her best friend's husband. I get FV didn't want to beef up the Spencers and drove JJ out quickly, but I feel like Havins will hang on so at least use her.

I do like that show has kept Dante...mid-burner...more than anything even if I have not always liked a lot of what they've done with him (ie: plot driven story with Gio). I do miss the days where a soap would have a character die and you got to see their significant other mourn them in real time...which was usually a year. Like Trina with Spencer, they have not done a good job with that with Dante in the writing.

Don't get me started. You know where my thoughts lay on that. Just like Liz and the Three Single Love Interests...there was story potential in having all of Laura's kids in town. And it was very much on my Wishlist a couple of years back. Be careful what you wish for indeed. Watching the disdain for anything Laura on my screen over the last few years has really made me see red at times. When THERE...STORY...RIGHT...THERE. So yes...clear disdain. Outside of clear agenda for dead-end characters. coughnathancough

Sadly...same. I think Alexia will. Good for Lulu, but I dread what horrible writing they will put her through out of shear spite for more organic ways to have her around.

The reason why I am so vehemently opposed to Valentin and the return of Britt/Nathan/Obrect, etc, is that we finally had started to get our priorities right onscreen. I don’t want to fully go back to the mess we had with a bunch of actual GH vets just existing while Nina, Valentin, Obrect’s family, Michael Easton and Roger Howarth were the focal points of the show, with Anna and Maxie as the only GH vets with story.

I keep forgetting about that story beat. Mostly because they have not played it at all since Maxie was on canvas if I remember correctly. Does Dante even know? Because mourning or not, I feel if he did...realistically...that would eventually draw him towards Lulu.

They both have and I loved that for them. And they had good writing at the time for it to truly work which I really loved. So the potential for a story with 'Nathan' might have been cool. Well...months ago at any rate.

I love that Maxie chose Spinelli, that was a very sweet ending today. But... it felt way too fast. Within a day, she learns Nathan is alive... she would need way more time to process and explore the emotions that come with all that. And it looks like they're going to continue with Nathan/Lulu. Maybe once Maxie sees that, we'll see something different from her.

Rick Hearst really sold it today. That was pretty heartbreaking to hear his concerns about who in life would even care if he was gone.

The entire Nathan story has been pointless from the jump to me since he was never more than an oiled-up cipher Frank and Ron Carlivati got horny over. I am glad Maxie chose Spinelli, as I suspected she might.

Agreed, that Maxie made her choice way too quickly. Even though I’m glad she picked Spinelli too 😂

Really enjoyed Michael vs. Chase, Round 2. Hope that we get many more rounds coming up 👊🏻👊🏻

And yeah, Joss needs to be kept away from Gio. I don’t mind him and Emma having some conflict but it shouldn’t involve Joss at all

The show is desperate to make Joss happen so Joss/Gio has always felt like it is waiting in the wings.

Given that Spinelli isn't around very often I do wonder if they just wanted to get Maxie out of the way of the main story too so they can delve into Lulu/"Nathan." I can see Maxie popping up to sense something is wrong with him and maybe whoever he is ends up trying to kill her.

I feel bad for the Maxie/Nathan fans who at the very least deserved a longer or more interesting resolution.

I personally don't think Joss and Gio was seriously played with in the past. There were a couple scenes you could potentially read into when Gio moved in with the girls but it wasn't hinting at the two of them at all. I'll reserve judgment til I see today's episode, but if they go there now it's because FV know everything else they've done with her has flopped and she's out of chances. I also wouldn't be surprised if Eden is quitting at this point tbqh.

GH also knows Emma and Gio are popular, so I can't see them totally derailing that couple. So I am not going to freak out yet. They certainly don't have the built-in racist excuse they did re: Sprina where they were clearly infatuated with Avery Pohl and hoping to re-cement her as a 'reformed' Esme.
