To counterpoint... at least we're getting him on-screen (being recurring), in long johns no less haha... it's better than nothing. I do think the storyline is a bit cheesy, but my softer side is loving it. It feels more like a Hallmark Fall pumpkin spice, cute romance story. :) So timing might be off, but I'm still here for it.

Re: Spinelli - I can't help but to love that man (I almost said kid, but we've aged haha). My emotional side wants Spinelli with Maxie and Nathan with Lulu for now. But that's me never seeing Maxie/Nathan together. Maybe Monday's episode will change my opinion.

Nathan was never much of a character. He was simply the final result of a decade-long project to find a 'hunk' to pair with Kirsten Storms across multiple regimes. He still is a nobody to me beyond his lovely body and nice voice.

I was not some Spixie diehard. I soured on them due to their dysfunctional cycles of behavior and I preferred Spinelli with poor Ellie for a long time, but they won me over again in the last couple years. It's typical if this show disrespects him for the short term though and expects us to want Maxie and Plastic Man #5 back together after Spinelli has been devoted to her. Then if Paevey quits or they scrap this whole story suddenly she'll remember his love and be full of apologies. But hopefully they'll surprise me next week.

I personally have always been a Spixie fan. They did get annoying toward the end of their first run and Spinelli was an extremely obnoxious human being, but they both have matured and the pairing works. I have always considered them endgame and Spinelli has been so good to Maxie and her kids. Does Nathan even know Maxie has a third kid? It's totally fair if he ignores the last one like the rest of us though lol.

Nathan and Maxie were an okay pairing. I never thought there was some great love there. His impact on the show and on Maxie were overblown because of his tragic "death".

I personally am hoping Maxie will figure out something is off with Nathan first and we can move on from the predictable love triangle/quad with Nathan/Lulu/Spinelli/Maxie, but I am sure it will be drug out for months.

I forget Bailey exists every time they don't mention her, which is often. Last week is the first time she appeared in ages for me to recall her existence. I have never been able to accept that Maxie has one kid, let alone three. But here we are.

I do think Spixie deserve the kind of proper blowout happy wedding BLQ and Chase got two years ago - unlike the mediocre Chases, a lot of the longtime audience actually likes Spixie and that is the kind of shared event to help do a soft reset of the canvas and set up new stories. (Nor would they need to be together forever) But they haven't prioritized them in years. They should've struck when the iron was hot again with Kirsten in 2024, because the improved scripts made both her and Bradford shine.

I honestly thought Chase and BLQ were watching Michael's kid last week until they said her name which actually gave me a humorous pause because I was confused as to why Chase was allowed to play with Michael's kids lol.

One of the best moments of 2009? 2010? was Spixie's non wedding. It was light hearted and fun. They deserve a real wedding. I am always confused if Bradford is recurring by choice or not though.

I agree that Maxie is a character that never needed kids. She's always had other focuses and then she gets saddled with three. I assume one was because of her real life pregnancy. GH always loves a baby story and it's a shame that they give women babies so young and then keep adding them on. Next thing we know Joss will be pregnant lol.

I don't actually have interest in seeing this, but I'm vaguely curious if Nathan has had scenes with Bailey Louise? In addition to being Maxie's child, she was biologically Peter's, so she'd be Nathan's niece.

There was that whole arc when Peter was still alive, and Brook Lynn covered for Maxie and pretended to be Bailey Louise's mother (via a one-night stand Brook Lynn had with Valentin), in order to protect Maxie and the baby from Peter. And later, after Valentin learned he wasn't the father, Chase was eventually in on the ruse and began pretending to be the father instead, with everyone else still believing that Brook Lynn was the mother. I loathed Peter, so I didn't invest myself in that storyline; but it was a big arc for a long while.

Anyhow, I wonder if any of this was explained to Nathan -- by Spinelli, or Felicia, or Brook Lynn, or Chase?

I agree too, being a newer viewer again of GH, all these little kids running around, it's hard to keep track whose is whose haha.
