i hope so. She deserves far more than Will's plank-like acting. I know y'all hate her, but I think she's one of the best younger actresses on soaps, right now. She's doing amazing with the garbo material she has to work with.

GH: June 2026 Discussion Thread

It's painful to watch Maurice Benard mumble and sleepwalk through his scenes. GH should pull up a Brink to Vanessa Marcil's home and write a half-decent exit for Sonny, with Brenda ushering him out of Port Charles. Her last few returns have been disappointing (for so many reasons), and I don't expect much from this writing team, but even they could produce something halfway decent.
Veterans shouldn't be put out to pasture, but I expect more of them. MB hasn't wowed and impressed me in years and he comes off like someone's grandfather.
MB could retire from acting and mentor. He can be fulfilled without us having to endure Weekend at Bernie's with him on GH.

I understand how much MB needs to work for the sake of his overall well-being, but there comes a point where you gotta admit to yourself that you're just too exhausted and need to take a break. And that's what I want MB to do: take a break, work on getting himself back into (mental and physical) shape and then, after consulting with the right people, decide on whether he's up to returning to the show. If nothing else, maybe he could segue into becoming an acting career, helping aspiring actors learn their craft. I think he'd be great at that.

But no, in all seriousness, I know exiting Maurice Benard as Sonny would be a shift and likely have some kind of backlash, but it is something that is overdue. It should have happened when Sonny was in jail with Ava and Julian. That should have been the exit strategy; it's clear he won't play certain storylines and pushes back (and, IMHO, he is not one of those actors who have earned that right).

DAYS: June 2026 Discussion Thread

Overall, some nice movements today and some good character-driven development. However, I am still baffled by how Marlena can be practising her speciality after multiple conflicts of interest and devil possession putting everyone at risk. And Kate mining the Brady Pub? After years of working at Titan and DiMera? Yeah, sure. Now she's a sounding board for random characters that are being used. The Chanel scenes were nice, and I get the intent of them, but they did not land as effectively as I think they wanted them to.
But, of course, because Cwicky and Ford wrote this, we can predict this episode is garbage, right? I cannot wait to hear that, especially since Days of Our Lives is not in Peacock's top ten. 🤣 And then what will happen when they inevitably read the Soap Opera Network message board? They will be insulted and hurt. Oh my! Shame, right? 🤣
She never did; she merely called out her former co-workers for being "friends with snakes" in a now-deleted post and merely alluded to things happening on the set that everyone stayed quiet on. So there is most definitely bad blood there; funny enough, her stating this came after the news of Cherie Jimenez joining the cast. Do I think she and many of the women who left DAYS had issues because of Albert Alarr? Yes. Is there verifiable proof? No.
Per her own words, she had been mulling it over for a year before she bit the bullet and opted to exit.

New Method to Combat Error 500 and Login/Logout Issue

Glad to hear it!
There were two issues that caused the max_connections and styling errors. One of which was that the cache rules had to be tweaked to better align with the exclusive needs of the boards.soapoperanetwork.com subdomain, and the other was rebuilding the theme used for the SON Community. Because of the previous cache rules, even though the issue had already been fixed in the backend, users were being fed an outdated cache of the max_connections (500 error) page. It was never truly just too many connections. Meanwhile, the funky- looking page as shown in @janea4old 's post above was also due to a cached version.
Unless I'm told otherwise, the max_connections, funky screen and login/logout issues have now all been resolved.
