• Dana, sweetie, I get why you are trying to help Peaches in this way, but you are absolutely overextending her when she should be getting her rest.

• Welp... I guess Carlton is out, based on that phone call. That blows. Adios, Dr Fitzgerald!

• So it was Eva whom Samantha called... for money? Honey bunches, that is not entirely appropriate now, is it?

• Ouch... this double date is cold in so many different ways, and of course the spoilt bitch has not learnt from her last public discussion at Uptown. She will never, ever learn.

• So, Shanice knows someone who she could set Nicole up with...? Someone tall, dark, and handsome?

• Uh-oh. What are Anita's test results? Why do I feel like we are about to get something along the lines of cancer or Alzheimer's, etc.

• Tomas wanted out of that lunch date and I do not blame him. Whew. The tension could be cut with the dullest of dull butter knives.

• Of course Dana would go to Nicole with the so-called emergency (a.k.a., Peaches).

• Marcel manning the security gig at Winterfest is going to end poorly. I just have that innate feeling.

• Samantha's idea, on paper, is solid, but it is going to need a lot of tweaking to truly be effective. And of course the spoilt bitch who got Samantha grounded would have some shït to say. Of course she does.

• That is right, Samantha: call out the spoilt bitch on ruining things. Put that shattered mirror right up.

• It is very sweet of Nicole to talk to Peaches; she did not have to do that. It shows her strength of character.

• Anita is making her way around town. First the Police Station, then Garland Memorial, and now Uptown. She is the woman of the moment, I would say.

• Aunt Melba? Sounds like someone we all have in our family. We all have an Aunt Melba.

• Dr Rollins, huh? Cannot wait to see that face that caused Nicole's breath to be taken aback.

Notes:

• Great work today by Bibel and Martin; a few hiccups here and there, especially from Martin, but overall, a solid day in terms of the script work.

• I adore seeing Tamara Tunie (Anita) mix it up so much today as a woman, then as a mother, and then as a grandmother.

It would be a great twist if Anita knows Peaches and had her return to Leslie's life in order to drain her of the funds supplied by Anita.

Kat is more and more obnoxious with every episode and I still don't think Tomas is needed. At the very least, replace Alex with a more charismatic actor.

That look on Nicole's face is everything!

How convenient that Carlton is suddenly unable to accompany Nicole to Winterfest. Kind of lame if you ask me. I was looking forward to seeing them together. Is this all because this Dr. Rollins character can suddenly swoop in in his place? I have a feeling that Carlton may not be long for this show.

And wow, Chelsea. Way to be supportive of your girlfriend. Hopefully Madison's mom shows up at some point because I really want to get a better picture of her and Madison's dynamic.

After today's episode, I'm so convinced that Anita is setting up SPS/Leslie for a fall at Winterfest.. so it'll be interesting to see how it all comes together.

And I'll be rooting for SPS to strike back because the wealthy are always the villains. I just wish MVJ wasn't stuck in the 80s/early 90s in regards to the wealthy family trope... and seeing how the Duprees are like the Capwells and SPS/Leslie as a modern day Gina... I think her stint writing the final year or so on Santa Barbara was probably the seed planted that led her to create this soap.

The wealthy aren't the "villains" on this show. Leslie literally is the villain and is overdue for a fall

It wouldn't be crazy to take down Leslie at the all-important Winterfest? Making her seem even larger-than-life than she already is?

If that's Anita's plan, she's more ridiculous than anything else. It's just a terrible idea.
