Brad is clearly on a mean streak because these characters are illogically acting hateful:

  1. Katie being marginalized because of Lunacy now. OC when Lunacy was arrested after caging FC co-CEO + committing two murders while she was a FC intern - it was OK.

  2. Bridge forcing Eric into retirement out of the blue - we're not talking about some business relationship - this Ridge's father and Steffy's grandfather and the father of two of Brooke's children. Really?

  3. The omitted spouse at Lope wedding. And why wouldn't the invited spouse fight for their inclusion?

None of these make sense - not even #3.

The audience is willing to accept plot-based drama if it leads to compelling stories, but this stuff isn't even good.

Sheila's exclusion is logical but with sloppy execution. Deacon is finally in a good place with Hope but their relationship isn't on firmly solid ground. I can see him not wanting to rock the boat there. However, having Beth being the vetoer was dumb, it should have been Hope. Missed opportunity for a logical story beat there.

I don't disagree with anything you said about Luna's reign of terror as the FC intern, but Katie being marginalized works for me. Ridge doesn't consider the feelings of women, especially ones he isn't sleeping with, and Brooke doesn't go against him by default.

Likewise, I buy Ridge pushing Eric out but Daphne shouldn't have been the only dissenter. Maybe they'll go there (not holding my breath) but Steffy would/should be pissed that Ridge made a huge decision without consulting her.

The biggest problem with the show this fall has been how vanilla the millennials have been. Hope, Steffy & Liam have been entirely too agreeable for months now. With the exception of Brooke, the GenXers are the ones allowed to have a clear POV.

Honestly, every character... not just the millennials... in this soap.... has been dull for the last 5 years. Even Sheila is like a boring auntie. The Sheila from 1992-1993 would be rolling her eyes at what we have now. And Brooke... I can't even call her a character anymore - she's just a pathetic shadow of herself. She's been stripped of any edge, turned into a low IQ Stepford wife. Her whole existence revolves around Ridge and his testicles. It's just sad... watching KKL survive through these repetitive stupid scenes day in and day out at her age. If Bradley doesn't do something to spice up this IMPORTANT character... who is basically one of the last remnants of the OG Bold DNA... he might as well just write her off. I'd rather see Brooke be killed off than continue to watch her be this lifeless and tedious.

An even bigger issue is that this show (BRAD BELL) can't create new characters to save its life. They at least recycle the same old nonsense with the established characters... but the new ones are just thrown into this chaotic, plot-driven mess that makes zero sense. We see virginal characters morph into sociopathic killers out of nowhere, and then we have creepy pervs (who are obsessed with girls) who suddenly go gay just to make a point for the show.

The younger characters are unbearable. Will and Electra are like watching paint dry. My remaining brain cells are literally screaming for mercy as I try to sit through their scenes. And yet... we see the ratings are very much OKAY. People are buying garbage and they EAT IT UP.

I feel like that one meme cuz...AGAIN? AGAIN?? Really? AGAIN?

Outside of Luna herself, I liked the brief focus shift to the Spencers. I knew that it would rotate back to the Forresters at some point, but it was a nice breath of fresh air. Will dealing with his stuff. Bill and Katie dealing with his stuff, but having their own stuff going on (from dealing with their feelings to coming back together to not this silly story about PR, but hey! still about them). Even Liam was slightly refreshing. But as soon as the focus shifted back to the Forresters...

...this story about Eric feeling impotent AGAIN? Ridge being an a$$ AGAIN? Donna and Brooke being irrelevant about it all AGAIN? At least we got a Bill vs Ridge fight out of it, but I was not feeling ANY of that. A waste of episodes. WHYYYY??? Do they have nothing else?

Thankfully, this episode focused on the building Taylor/Deacon/Sheila triangle which I am liking. And it appears its building right alongside the upcoming Liam/Hope wedding which was another case of AGAIN. Sidenote...MMMMMmmm grow that goatee out, Deke. JS.

Where's my Sinn when I need them? smh.

B&B loves recycling stories. Getting Ridge & Brooke remarried yet again, Bill & Katie reuniting and Liam & Hope's upcoming nuptials are all been there done that. Even the Eric forced retirement is lazy writing IMO.

Are we ever going to see Remy again? Will Deke forgive him or is he going to move on with someone new? I think B&B needs to focus on the next generation of Will, Electra, Deke and possibly Remy.
