Gosh, Suzanne is such a classic - truly a beautiful person, inside and out.

Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.

Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.

Well, she just said "ladies" on the show but she didn't specify they were fellow actresses. It could have been some of the women behind the scenes of the show. There was a lot in the interview that wasn't clear to me.

Yes it was The Young and the Restless.

Thank you. That's what I thought because of the year but who was "Jack with the three blonde daughters"?

Her description was a bit off but it was 52 years ago so we can give her a pass.

The original 'mansion' was one of the set upgrades they did in 1980 . It was the Chandler residence.

When that story fizzled out I think it became Stuart Whyland's house -not 100 on that.

But it was revealed that Stuart was working for the Di Mera's (rewrite) so Stefano moved into that house.

Mmmm...then it became Alex Marshall's?

Neil and Liz lived there also. At some point it was finally replaced.

Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while.

It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though.

And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future.

But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that.

As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either.

Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.

Ooooo

A Liam episode?

I'll watch it later today.

They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.😂

It feels like the show hired Hank Northrop first and are still deciding what to do with him lol. I don't have a judgement on the character yet, but this non-story (so far) has been happening for at least a month and he's only made 2 appearances lol.

Also, this may be a stupid question, but is Chad's name really Chadwick?  I can't find any evidence of that in a quick google search, so I assume it's just a silly nickname Leo calls him?  I feel like I've heard other characters (EJ?) call him that though too.

I think his full name is Chadwick.  I remember, back when the previous actor was playing him, someone called him Chadwick a couple of times.  It may have been Stefano.

There are no dumb questions here, we've all known each other long enough to fill in information without shaming each other.  We want you to be happy @carolineg.  Your POV as one of the few women here is vital. So, please, I hope you never feel as if any question, idea, or opinion is ever silly or stupid.  Your daily reminders about the realities of manicure and menstrual management has become a part of the personality of this thread.

As for Hank, while I'm confident there's a plan in place.  It is frustrating that they announce these casting so far in advance that it is tough as an audience and wait it out until the thing happens.  I'm happy they didn't blow it the second Mike was in town, a week after meeting Liam. So, it is a slow burn.

And, conveniently, he lets us know when his episodes air. 😄

Speaking of silly stuff, is anyone bothered by the placement of Tony's pocket on his shirt?  It is so odd that whatever bargain bin they found it, would choose to place a huge black pocket over the floral design?
