If Gina Tognoni were still Phyllis, I would be behind her and Cane hooking up, but Michelle Stafford is subpar, and Billy Flynn absolutely deserves a better romantic scene partner.

Yeah but Victor should’ve actually evolved by now.

That's where I am. We all know that EB will be on the show forever. That's a given, and I never said "Get rid of Victor/Eric Braeden."

Daww…I mean good it’s a classic but I just feel we’ve gotten that one a lot.

Danny/Cricket 1990 wedding was shown during the classics.

Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) act opposite each other really makes me mad that their short-lived reunion in 2012 was just that... short-lived. I've always loved the Jack/Nikki pairing.

That one really bothered me. The chemistry was still very much there and then she married Jack and immediately ran off to find Victor. It was such a slap in the face to anyone that was a fan of the pairing.

I agree. She said, "I do," and then decided, "I don't." I wish Nikki Abbott had been a longer duration. I wholly prefer Nikki with Jack than I ever have with Victor, and today's episode proved that. And I never minded Ashley with Victor.

Yikes -a Cane/Phyllis sex scene. Why was there no warning before this episode aired?

And of course Phyllis had sex with her bra on.

Had to laugh when Cane, trying to think of Phyllis' password to sneak into her laptop, talks out loud so we (and she) can be clued into what's happening.

What is Phyllis' financial standing? At one point she was wealthy enough to run a hotel-which she gave up in an instant(can't remember why-some inane reason) Now she's scrounging around for a job with Cane.

The many residents of the GCAC who are living in hotel rooms don't seem to do anything to personalize their space-no photos, books etc. The GCAC must have a strict policy on that.

Nikki did look good today. Still find her hairstyle a little dowdy though.

I didn't even watch but saw the recap. I can't believe Billy Flynn has been saddled with all of this. He so deserved better.

Billy Flynn has great chemistry with Christel Khalil, so is this sex with Phyllis a stall because CK is headed for maternity leave?

This 11/17 episode was extremely lazy and boring. That Adam and Chelsea opening scene was so cringe and out of character for both.
Billy Flynn is being wasted and I was only interested in Claire and Holden.

Every character feels the same with no actual personality.

So do I. Jack actually treats her like an equal partner. And he’s done far less evil things Nikki has just to ignore including to his own kids than Victor any day.

There are so many beats that could be played with relationships and history b/w  characters. But cast/set restrictions (and loust writing) are destroying that.

Really liked seeing Jack and Nikki catch up. Trouble is, in the current version of Y&R it had to continue the entire episode.

Hearing Lily talk on the phone to Maddie-how much better if we had actually seen the kids during Cane's return.

Would the original actors return for a short stint? Maybe not and perhaps they don't feel a recast would work.

All of this could have been avoided by letting BF be a new character. For the amount of difference it's made , there was really no need to bring back Cane.
