Tracy is not wrong for wanting Ronnie thrown out after what transpired. Regardless of how Tracy treated her from the onset; Ronnie was close to letting that entire family be thrown out on their asses just 5 mins ago.

It’s just lazy writing to have everyone turn on her and act like she’s the villain for feeling this way. Ronnie is a nothing character and a total waste of Slezak’s talent (it was never going to be different sadly). This generic creation could have been played by anyone with the same effect, but as @Vee pointed out, it seems obvious that Frank and probably Van Etten don’t want people turning against a character played by Slezak and Tracy has to be sacrificed for it.

I don't think Tracy was ruined. This is Tracy. Always been Tracy and why I love her. Ronnie has regrets which makes sense if they want ES to visit from time to time. The characters I think this harmed was BLQ and Ned. Michael always goes back and forth. Chase has been a drag for months. Olivia has always been sanctimonious

The Ronnie story was an unnecessary time waste.  We all knew how it would end and it really has no long term affects.   Outside of throwing Tracy under the bus, viewers will forget about this in a few months.  Ronnie will never be mentioned again, Tracy will reconcile with the Q's, and Martin will be practicing law soon enough.

ES did a nice job with a nothing character, which is great.  She'll probably get another emmy.  On the other hand, numerous stories have been completely stalled and have lost momentum.  I am not advocating more characters, but even if Ronnie had brought a son/daughter or a grand kid that was behind this scheme and stayed in PC causing trouble after it would have at least some purpose.

It's something they can and should easily do at some point, more linkage to Monica's family which is a rich history (and not wholly incestuous).

Martin is pond scum.

It would have made a lot more sense to have Ronnie introduce a new Monica extended relative and go along with this scheme for her family member rather than team up with random stranger Martin.

I will just go ahead and say it- I’ve never really loved Wally Kurth as Ned. Even at his most calculating it never suited him as much as romantic comedy and more emotional material with romantic partners. He’s a good actor, but I have always thought Ned should have been more ruthless. The gatekeeper stuff didn’t help, because he always played it like he was put upon. Making him more of a fixer, like a Quartermaine Olivia Pope, capable of really skirting the line would have been better. Plus all his major relationships are drama dead ends. Of all the Q’s, Ned ending up with a scheming gold digger to vex him, Tracy, and the family was something that could have kept him relevant. Olivia and Lois look down on the family, Jenny was a nothing character, and Alexis was just more interesting at the time and clearly not going to be endgame.

Ned should have had at least a slight glance at the situation before just accepting it and also backing Olivia.

This is soaps 101 to me. A story like this should be used to build more story, or climax already going story in a big way. Instead it interrupted everything and it’s just going to end. The only future is Tracy getting to say Monica gave it to me for years?

I suppose FV and CVE were hoping Viki/ES nostalgia would be enough to grab viewers.

To me, it felt like they wrote the story according to Slezak's availability. It was paced so differently than the rest of the show, with major developments in the story happening practically every day, that I can only assume Frank gave the writers an order to front-burner it because he could only convince Slezak to be on set for less than a month.

FV block tapes so I assume they could have drug the story out longer once ES was finished.

Oh no, Anna!  That was an intriguing ending.

Seems like Gio is able to really talk sense into people, he's a cute kid.

The family Halloween scenes were nice today!
