Nah. I've seen women in that age go for far more physically vile men with power. I buy it. I don't think it's 1994, but I do think Lindstrom has eased into playing the role well. Joey is supposed to be seen as loathsome or bad news, and I do think he has an expiration date.

I wouldn't be surprised if when he does go, it'll be some big murder mystery, but we still need him to call in his favour from Martin before that happens.

I'm sure it will. But I think both Joey and Elon (a.k.a. Evil Overton) are destined to die. In the rich tradition of many corrupt soap opera parents, Elon is dogmeat.

-- Martin was WAY over-the-top in his attack on Kat. Telling her "This is all your fault" is absolutely insane, especially since this is all about Samantha the Brat overhearing an animated Kat. All this talk about good parenting was wasted in that one scene.

-- It's pretty bad when Kat comes off as the mature one.

-- Had to laugh at Nicole doing another drive-by. She floated into the Smitty and Martin residence, dropped a couple lines, then floated right out before having ANY meaningful discussion with Samantha or anyone else. She looks good doing it, though!😂

-- Someone here mentioned this week that BTG is the best-dressed soap -- next to B&B. Sorry, but that is just not true. BOLD cannot hold a candle to GATES. The wardrobe on this show is by far the finest of all the soaps.

-- Still no patients in the hospital scenes 🤣

-- Leslie has so much money that Eva's gets her to pay for the operation of some rando? Just absurd.

-- If you watch this show and your takeaway is that "Jon Lindstrom is sexy and fine," I have no words.

-- Will Joey be killed off? I hope so, but I have my doubts. MVJ clearly loves him, and they're TRYING to round off the character by giving him some softer edges -- while still playing him as a killer and a really bad man. I don't think it's working.

-- "They adore you, but they fight me at every step," says Martin to Smitty, completely ignoring that he flies off the handle ALL THE TIME.

-- Speaking of flying off the handle, that's what Kat did when she heard Eva call Ted "Dad." Therapist Nicole raised two children who cannot handle stress and are over-emotional ALL THE TIME.

- I happen to like Joey, he provides a nice contrast to the overly privileged Duprees.

- BTG does have the wardrobe person from B & B on staff so it tracks.

- Martin is acting just like Martin.  An overly spoiled and pampered individual that probably was overly spoiled because of the stresses in Nicole/Ted's marriage when he was young.

- Kat being the miracle baby is why she acts like such an entitled princess.

- Therapist tend to have mal-adjusted children moreso than not so it's realistic that Nicole's kids lack of her more mature perspective.

Funny you mentioned that, because I was coming on here to complain about some of the outfits today. I don't watch BB so I can't speak to that, and I think the fashion on BTG has been great overall, but Nicole's jacket was so ill-fitting and the color palette on the jacket, pants, and ridculous choice of undershirt pissed me off. Also, they need to have these pieces tailored or at least make some alterations.

I think this may be an issue with some of the pieces they get for DD. She has a big bust and small waist and unfortunately most fitted jackets and blouses don't cater to this build. I assume they are buying a size up, but then trying to fix it as best they can.

Martin is ridiculous. Kat had stopped Samantha from going too far before she even heard Kat talk about her sex life. Samantha already had sex or sex as a means to an end on her mind. Her being ill informed about it at her age is the fault of her parents not Kat. Also, what teenager today doesn't hear or see things about sex way more graphic than Kat discussed with Chelsea.

What was that look Eva was giving Shanice and Ted? Does she think there was something more to their interaction - is that what was being implied? I didn't feel that at all. I did find it odd that Ted just grabbed Shanice's face like that, but otherwise I thought their interaction was cute. Although for all the hell Ted gave Shanice about getting her Rumble in the Jungle facts wrong, why would he then say he was going to dance like a bee not sting like one. Wasn't Ali's phrase float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Thought he would have been more apt if Ted said he was planning to dance like a butterfly, but he wouldn't be stinging like a bee.

It felt nice not seeing Vanessa and Joey. I really don't know how to feel about either honestly. However, I was excited to see Hayley in the previews - someone I have done a 180 on since the reveal.

The fashion on BTG can sometimes be wild but it is gorgeous and distinctive. Compare it to some of the folks on GH wearing stuff that looks like they brought it from home ever since COVID (Kate Mansi and poor Laura Wright) and it's a world of difference.

How GH won wardrobe this year at the Daytime Emmys baffles me. Shawn Reeves is horrible at his job.

Wasn't he the dude who used to have the SOD column where he would be vamping for the profile pic? I never got that guy.

Don’t forget the white guy arranged the murder of the black man to steal his white wife who got no excitement from her black husband.

Okay reading this actually sounds so bad. Ouch.

This is not completely wrong...

Amen to this. It is exactly how I felt about it. Ashley was out here acting like Derek was full on walking normally and able to live his life as before, but keeping up the charade in order to keep Ashley. And while sure, Derek did want to keep Ashley from Andre, he still can't actually walk. The man still fell on the floor in his previous attempt. It also just highlights the fact that Ashley just doesn't really want Derek and just felt bad for him.

Personally, I feel like they should have waited for the reveal and had Derek actually walking but hiding it from Ashley for a while.

I honestly don't care so long as it ends this dumb storyline.

The problem with Joey is, Jon Lindstrom is hot and sexy to 70ish year old MVJ. But in no discernible world would sexy as hell 40ish Vanessa ever even blink in his direction. It's laughable.

Meanwhile, Laura and Lucy are hanging around Port Charles doing nothing.

If JL's time here facilitates a Kevin and Laura breakup down the road I'm good with it. I want him back with Lucy.

I enjoy him in the part for what it is - I thought Jon was creaky and cringeworthy early on, but he found his footing opposite Bugliogi and in some of the story turns. He's got some menace and gravitas to me, and the audience seems split on him outside of here so it works well enough for me. Provided we get Who Killed Joey by 2027. I just can't stand the Golden Corral set lol. I was its first hater!
