I am tired of Theo’s unforgiving attitude towards JJ.

I'm not. I understand it. I can only imagine the betrayal felt by a Black man who was confronted that way by his very good white friend.

As for Jeremy and Jada connecting on a dating app... idk. What happened to Shawn?

Yeah, this show continually mistreats Brandon Beemer, and it's a shame. I think he's a solid soap actor.

Then there’s the blackout looting. We keep hearing about it, but where’s the damage? Julie’s bookstore opened right on schedule. Sweet Bits is spotless.

Exactly. No follow-up at all. Don't do those story beats if you can't follow up.

And Stephanie’s big reveal. She’s a nationally best-selling author with two books out in four months. She’s also a PR expert. So naturally, her strategy is to tape a cardboard poster outside a local bookstore and hope Julie connects the dots.

The Julie bookstore story continues to be problematic to me. On the surface, it brings a new gathering place and gives SSH something to do. But they're making a mess of it.

-- That set does not look like a bookstore, but like a law library in some old home. What's with all the (clearly fake) books looking like they're in sets and lined up for sale? What's with the patrons always walking around and paging through books? No one seems to buy anything.

-- Why in the hell would Julie launch the Anastasia Sands novel in the first place? Does that book represent her or her clientele?

-- Stephanie already has a 2nd book? Do these writers understand book releases?

-- Hank Northrop had a good first appearance, but would Abe mentor his reading from a table in the middle of the bookstore?

-- Sthpanie is working my last nerve with her attitude towards Jeremy.

I would only add to agree:

The last time Theo saw JJ, he was working in Johannesburg for a charitable organization. For Theo to now see JJ returning to the Salem PD, an institution that once nearly cost Theo his life, would be more than surprising. It would be destabilizing. That’s not just about character history—it’s about race, power, and memory. Let’s not flatten that.

It is not the same thing as Gwen forgiving Leo for sleeping with Dimitri, and I think we are all sophisticated enough to know that is true.

Well said. Excellent point.

Bingo. And then he was confronted by that same white officer during the blackout.

Looking forward to hearing your perspective 👍😂😂

Liam kinda gave off that 'bad boy with the heart of gold' vibe today.

He was brooding throughout the episode. I saw a lot of his dad in his facial expressions. SSH looked thrilled to have him on the show. Every time he appeared, I kept thinking he would have made a great Alex Kiriakis older brother to Sonny's Zach Tinker.

Btw Jeremy and JJ looked hot!

And I could care less about Stephanie and her dumb story. Is this the best story the writers could come up with?

The book thing might have been a Ron storyline that they just decided to continue with 😂😂

So, Jeremy and Jada's first date was at the Pub? Ok. 😂😂😂

But I did see a little chemistry between them, even though Jada deciding to leave the date out of respect for Stephanie does make sense to me. The way Michael Roark's been playing it makes me believe that Jeremy actually is reformed. I liked how their scenes were juxtaposed against Stephanie and Alex talking about her past with Jeremy, and that time in the hot tub lol and we got a mention of Robin and Stephanie's past as a race car driver.

Btw, congratulations Aaron!

I still don't see why they couldn't have had Sophia confess to him and everybody that he was the father of the baby, but whatevs. Louis Tomeo actually played the shocked, scared teen pretty well in those scenes. He still needs some work lol but I thought he showed a lot of improvement today. And I liked the way that Cat comforted Aaron.

But the rest of Aaron's scenes were completely stupid and unnecessary though and did not fit with his earlier scenes at all. It almost felt like two different episodes were combined. Leo's annoying, Ron-like, friend did not need to make a comeback either. 🤮

Days is always going on and on about the budget but they have the money for that nonsense?

Interestingly, I felt the same way about EJ's scenes. His first scenes with Amy were really good. He came off as really honest and sincere as he tried to get Amy to coming around about Johnny and Chanel adopting Tesoro. But his later scenes with Cat felt unnecessary as well. It was weird that that happened twice today.

Johnny and Chanel were sweet too. I liked the way they were there for each other regarding the baby. And, Johnny looked hot at the end 😍😂😂

I think the show really dropped the ball with the Choi family.  The actress that plays Amy is strong, but it's really glaring and odd that there is a Mr. Choi that doesn't ever appear even though they are still married.  Amy seems to make all the decisions for the family.   If the show couldn't cast an actor for the part it would have made a lot more sense for him to be dead or have left the family.   It could have been the catalyst for Sophia's mom finding religion and the reason she is such a helicopter parent.

It also could have played into why she eventually relented to the adoption, realizing she couldn't afford to have another child as a single, working parent.  It would also explain why Sophia was left alone to her own devices and Amy not being aware of what she was doing.

Instead, Papa Choi exists as phone calls off screen, which makes very little sense.  There has never even been a passing comment where Sophia or Amy even gave the dad's opinion a thought or mentioned him visiting or talking to Sophia about any of this lol.

Well, considering previous regimes could barely commit to the Shin family ⏤ outside of Wei Shin ⏤ it is not surprising, to me, that the Choi family is not developed.

I am not surprised, but I don't even think you need to commit or truly develop the Choi family.  Just slightly change their narrative to make the dad's absence make sense.  He left, he died, he's an absent father, working overseas, whatever to give the situation more context.  Amy handling everything while she phone's her husband every 2 weeks off screen is just lazy.

I would’ve rather they cast Sophia’s father than this random Adam guy 😂

I encourage everyone to read the story from TVinsider, it is so endearing.

And I teared up reading this sweet passage:

  • Rogers notes that she will look the same when Maggie is back on screen. “I didn’t lose my hair,” she discloses. “I guess because I was taking the chemo pills. I’m sure there’ll be people that are saying, ‘Well, she didn’t really have cancer,’ but you know what? I really don’t care what people say. I know what I’ve gone through and I’ve come out on the other side, so that’s all I care about.”

I cannot imagine having to consider that people might think she was faking symptoms.  The internet is a horror show when it comes to subjects like this.  I'm happy she was able to control the narrative (even if the list of co-stars she informed of her diagnosis was a bit of a juicy topic).
