Why does all this talk about Deanna have me thinking that if (when) she appears, she's going to be a straight up bad girl/evil twin?

The apple don't fall too far from the tree.

That's what I'm feeling. Donnell as good twin.

-- Andre won big-time in that confrontation that Bill forced. He made Bill look small and pathetic.

-- Andre might not be Dani's forever husband, but he knows how to treat her and says all the right things about her.

-- Hayley is just as sad as her lame ass husband. They deserve each other.

-- Vanessa just can't help herself. When she got up to say goodbye to Golden Corral Casino Mobster Joey, she grabbed him around the neck -- just as any romantic and sexual partner would.

-- And in front of her son? The day her husband was buried? She's trash.

-- Donnell and Jacob both clocked out but neither said anything. My guess is this gets mentioned in the future.

-- Of course, Vanessa doubled down on what a ho she is when she explained her "friendship" with GCCM Joey. This woman is for the streets.

that’s an interesting possibility. of course, she might turn out like bobby martin on all my children or chuck cunningham on happy days.

Unpopular opinion, but I am not seeing the amazing acting some of y'all are getting from the actor playing Donnell. He is alright, but he comes across as a novice to me, but not in a bad way like AA. He also keeps doing this thing with his tongue where he presses it against or glides it across the inside of his bottom lip. I noticed him to it several times the first day and he continues doing it. It's giving Sean Freeman sighing vibes.

I'm honestly so confused as to where most of these stories are going. It feels a bit clunky and aimless, but I might be wrong. I hope with whatever behind the scenes changes took place, it helps.

Martin was talking to Smitty like they were some old married couple...our hair is thinner and more gray, but we are more in love than ever? Didn't help that both MM and BC have full heads of hair, but ok then.

I think Dani and Nicole are great together. We need to have them do more than just sit around and talk about their failed marriages.

I think they are clearly repositioning a lot of stuff on the show right now, but frankly that's a good thing IMO. Dani and Andre marrying was a big step away from stasis, as are Martin and Smitty trying to turn the page, Donnell arriving and Nicole likely moving forward

with Greg Vaughan.

I just hope they don't throw Vanessa out with the bathwater.

I would like to see more focus on businesses - not just Dani's constantly liminal new business venture, but ChelseaKat and its competition.

They are definitely in transition. Into what is the question. It seems like Doug, Bill/Dani/Andre are becoming the main stories with Eva vs Kat being the solid B story it is. And we have the Martin/Smitty stuff waiting in the wings, providing C plot for the last few weeks...along with Dark Derek.

But it could be my train of thought since I just finished rewatching last week. But definitely shifts are going on. I don't hate it since I mentioned a week ago that Doug/Vanessa/Joey and everything Dani/Andre had enough build to them that they both had legs to go...and boy, are they going. That said...I am getting impatient about how some things (Baby Lie, The 'perils' of the SilkPress vs the Duprees, Nicole's love life, Kenny's murder) have been bits and pieces in a way that they were not before. Especially when some of the above flows better.

Usually when it is mentioned, it pops up again. However, is it going to take until November Sweeps for some of what I mentioned above?

I can see that. I think he's good so far, definitely not AA, but totally has more room to grow. For now, his acting for me reminds of his tv father which is a good step.

I wonder if Deanna is a mini Vanessa and Donnell is a mini Doug.  And I also wonder if Deanna is getting into some trouble and Donnell is covering for her with everyone by saying she's too 'fragile' to handle the death of their dad, etc.

Also, I do agree that the show is in transition and/or moving into the next stage of some of the plotlines.  With 50 episodes or so left of 'season 1'.. perhaps this transition is going to result in a season 1 ending cliffhanger/party where things come to a head.

In regards to Hayley... she should be focusing her anger at Bill.. and not at Dani

The repositioning of the show is never more evident than whatever tf is going on with Hayley. Did she fake a pregnancy and miscarriage? Is she trying to put Tomas over as a fake affair? Is she just tired today? Who knows!

I am sure she and Randy will get busted re: the baby sooner or later but it's just tedious watching her atm. Feels like an afterthought. Bring in stronger competition for Dani in Bill's life.

He might be. It just seems like it's being brought up (Deanna fragile) for a reason.

Well, we are overdue an event. Again.

Hehe. She should be. But Hayley can't do that.

I feel like Dani's conversation to Bill about who Hayley is last week might be foreshadowing to what she is. So I would assume that Hayley/Randy might actually have backstory with Bill that we don't know about. At least, that's my working theory now.

Hayley is one of those women who is going to blame another woman for her husband being out of line.

I also thought it was weird that Martin/Smitty talked about their hair getting grayer and thinner... when they literally have full heads of hair and no gray at all. I think it just goes back to this show not doing age well... at all.  That comment should have come from the Nicole/Dani/Bill/Ted generation. Or, it could have come from Smitty/Martin, but I don't believe them to have high school twins... when some of those kids look 30 as it is haha. Anyway, I'm early 40s myself and only in the last few years have I found myself talking that way... I know people age differently, but it's got to be realistic to what we're visually seeing. :)

I still don't understand why this other twin/daughter couldn't go to her father's funeral because she had the flu. Makes no sense.

It's also weird that Donnell is still drinking and doing toasts to his dad with alcohol when his father died from drinking too much, which Donnell hates... but he's doing it.

Can one really 'borrow' an e-book? We aren't swapping paperbacks...

Still love the show haha :)

OMG Prom Night was Guza. I love love love it and I was watching In Search Of Darkness,  a documentary on 80s slashers and they mentioned Curtains.  It looks absolutely bonkers so Ill definitely be watching it.

Not on topic, but can you DM me where you found that documentary? I've been looking for and can't find it. I don't mind paying for it. Thanks!
