Yes, I thought  Vernita blaming Bill for Dani marrying Andre was a bit much. Did they also state that Bill has other dirt on them? So they have to keep him on side.

Should we have had a Monday follow up to the Jacob/Naomi pregnancy story? To introduce a major plot for only one episode- I think a revisit the next ep would be wise.

Those Ted/Smitty, Chelsea/Tomas scenes they need to do more of . Especially as Ted is Smitty's father in law. We need to establish those relationships.

They did it again when Anita was on the phone- 'that was Jackie , the impersonator who married a drunken Dani and Andre in Las Vegas.'-those info dump sentences need to be cut.

I think she needs to have some more obstacles. She was initially this huge suspect for Jacob and the cops and it just never went anywhere. Hell she’s rich now and even if Ted claims he doesn’t want her, his drunk ass still let her in his hotel room and banged her again.

Very much so. It is giving 'dumb down other characters so villain seems smarter.' Which I felt the show did a great job of avoiding so it's sad to see.

Ooo also Valerie P.(Amy on Y&R) plays the badass matriarch. It’s given me a newfound appreciation for her as it’s a COMPLETE departure from Amy. Eva La Rue is also around for the first 3 seasons too!

Wait. How many seasons are there? lol.

I am not shocked. Valerie seems like a versatile actress. And I love those. Reminds me of Amanda Warren who was the lead of cancelled EAST NEW YORK but was fierce AF as Monet De Haan's mother on the GOSSIP GIRL reboot. Night and day.

I still crack up whenever I see "Silk Press Sheila" mentioned in these threads.  You know you've done something right when your audience nicknames one or more of your characters almost right away, lol.

Valarie Pettiford is incredibly versatile. She was totally hilarious as Big Dee Dee on Half & Half and can also play totally serious with no problem.

  • Dana is doing too much where Armstrong is concerned. Sweete, turn it down multiple notches.
  • Poor Donnell looks like he has been through it. The poor thing.
  • Poor Carlton sitting there while Dani, Chelsea, and Nicole are talking about the men in their lives... The poor guy should run for the hills!
  • Katherine, you insufferable bitch. Get a life. And get over yourself.
  • That is right, Eva... let them both have it. Give it to the both of them.
  • Go on, Marcel, look on with that guilt right across your face, and you see the pain on Vanessa's and Donnell's. They should not have to see this.
  • Eva going off on Dana is overdue. Tell mawmuh the truth, Eva! Tell it to her!
  • Joey... what the frick are you up to? And of course Marcel is up Joey's backside to ensure he is not in the footage. I hope he is, though.
  • Dani continues to remain firm in her convictions regarding her marriage to Andre. But it will not last.
  • That poor woman having to hear Katherine trying to get herself at the country club. Damn.
  • Tomas is, ah, showing something... whew. And not the Harry Met Sally moment in the episode.
  • Poor Donnell... his poor heart is absolutely smashed. Joey, I sure hope to Hell that was worth it. You smug bastard.

Notes:

  • Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) and Alex Cheeks (Donnell) once again knocking everything out of the park! Brilliant! Outstanding!
  • Robert Christopher Riley (Carlton) is outstanding. So happy to see him doing daytime after primetime! Hoping he sticks around.
  • Christopher Dunn and Danielle Paige did outstanding work with the breakdown and scriptwriting today. Two of the best this soap has.

Wow, it appears Tomas made Kat reach that peak. Maybe hearing that love word did it.

Lindstrom is a principal guest, yes.

Oh okay. Thanks.

So Carlton was waiting around for Ted's marriage to blow up so he could have his chance. What a jerk.

Eva made a complete fool of herself by taking Leslie's advice, but Kat's not respecting herself any better. Having sex in a closet in public with a man that slept with your sister is pretty pathetic.

Joey is setting Marcel up. But I suspect that Marcel might have some insurance to save himself.

Alex Cheeks (Donnell) is clearly an amazing actor.  This kid is going places. BTG needs to use him, while they have him -- as ATWT did with Julianna Moore.  Make Donnell the male romantic lead in a young love storyline.  He is so talented. I betcha' he's one contract, and OUT.  On to primetime or beyond.  MVJ, please do not back-burner Donnell.

He is not contract; he is principal guest.
