  • Anita is all for visiting the Anita impersonator's show, and I love it. Poor Vernon said, "One Anita is enough!" Haha.
  • Woe is me. Katherine needs to get over herself. No one cares you got cheated on. Your stuck-up-bitch ass deserved it.
  • Chelsea is going to go off on Tomas. I can feel it bubbling. Closer and closer to the edge.
  • Not the mention of Dana's 'shouse' being built. The ongoing running gag.
  • I like seeing Bradley and Ted conversing together. But I hate to say it... Bradley, you should be heading to divorce court. The deadbeat is not worth keeping around. You deserve better.
  • Dana, stop trying to give advice to Eva. You are going to do more damage than good at this point. And good on Eva for calling out Dana mentioning the stereotypical tropes. Good on her.
  • Damn. Tomas tugged Chelsea's wig by mentioning her choice in partners. Hilarious.
  • Not Dana referring to Tomas as "Bad Bunny". What appropriate timing, huh?
  • Good on Ted for taking the first step in approaching Nicole. But not the blowback on her accepting a ride from Carlton. Bro, you got there too late.
  • NOT A FRUITCAKE! Girl. You bring casseroles or something. Not a damn fruitcake. And not a ten-month-old fruitcake. An absolute mess.
  • NOT THE IMMEDIATE CONSTRUCTION! She truly wasted zero time!

Notes:

  • The scriptwriters continue to not be afraid of writing about sex as truthfully as it is. It is not sensitised or "taboo". It is natural and honest. I appreciate smart writing that is not dumbed down for audiences.
  • I love that the mïcrøwavê in Eva's apartment is functioning and not some prop there for looks.

Today was really check on your kids day.

I haven't seen it being said here much but do all think Leslie is "winning" against the Duprees and that makes them weak. I see this on Twitter a lot

Leslie is quite the mother. Telling your daughter to sleep with her sister's boyfriend and then high fiving for details is pretty low. The old fruitcake and Leslie not knowing she needed a project manager was hilarious.

"I wasn't naked...I was wearing a towel" was such a moronic line but Tomas is a moron so it was fitting.

Watching JM's son reminds me of just how much JM sucked when he joined Y&R. He's a spitting image and a terrible actor,

Today was much needed... characters that rarely interact, interacted. Having Chelsea dig into Tomas and discuss it was great. Seeing Ted and Smitty talk, great. LOL at Ted calling him Clark Kent, and then Smitty takes off his glasses. It was also nice seeing Kat confide to her mom about Tomas. Real discussions about feelings and storyline were had today which was nice.

😵‍💫 at Anita saying it's Bill's fault for Dani/Andrew marrying. No, just no!

LOL at Leslie and her fruitcake, so funny.

And characters that were overdue a 'touch base.' We were just talking about that.

Leslie called it wrong.  This hare-brained fool ain't a "Bad Bunny".  He's just a plain ole Dumb Bunny.

I thought it was well-timed (especially since it was pre-taped) given the Bad Bunny at Super Bowl news last week and then him on SNL this past weekend, too.

Yeah, I just don't think RC and JT mix well.

Given I felt the last two Mondays were off to good to great starts, this Monday was...meh. It had great moments for me. I liked we got people who normally don't interact (Smitty/Ted, especially love Chels vs Tomas...he even came alive with an inflection for one second) interacting. And I liked how characters were touching base that I haven't felt had in a minute. Martin with Vernon/Anita. Nicole/Kat. Even SilkPress/Eva was giving their old dynamic. I even giggled at SilkPress mocking Eva a little bit.

But outside of that moment...meh. It was back to Silk Press Sheila being too much of a cartoon. And I just feel they wrote Anita and Vernon too soft in their scenes with her. And then to have Anita playing comedy with the cough. Uhhhh....the woman who slapped the taste out of SilkPress's mouth for getting close to her. NO THANKS. Where is Dark Vernon when I need him? Cuz those off-screen conversation with off-screen Bill ain't cutting it.

Oooooooh so that's why there have been plot point mentions of Martin's Secret and Kenny's murder here and there. I enjoyed the Smitty/Ted scene. And I know I've mentioned that I've been enjoying how Martin and Smitty have been playing the couple that have been longing to get back together regardless of how Martin's Secret came out. Martin moving out was going to force some movement in that story which I was thankful for. And like I said, I liked the Smitty/Ted scenes as well as Martin/Vernon/Anita scenes discussing it. It felt like perhaps they might just come together. However, in the back of my mind, I just felt it could not be that simple. And Martin's speech at the end summed it up for me. So WTF...he wants to turn himself in? I...don't get it. Okay, I do get it, but still...it was an abrupt turn for me. I can only assume this plot point is a way for the secret (as well as Kenny's murder) to somehow come out. So...intrigued. Mildly.

I was happy to see Chelesa looking and acting completely like herself pre-kidnapping. And I found her vs Tomas to be my highlight of the day. She read him good. I especially loved that she said...IHO... her thoughts. True thoughts. Kat IS just wanting him back to keep him from Eva. Simple as that. And it says something about Kat as much as it says something about Tomas that hearing that...he still wants to use that to his advantage. And then there's SilkPress's talk with Eva. I'll always be here for Kat vs Eva cuz they are so the money rivalry at the moment, but I think after this latest turn with Tomas, I want them to fight over something (and/or someone) better.

I do like they are setting up Doug's Funeral nicely. A main plot building in the background. That said...good moments, but overall meh today.

Side note...I see BC was popping today in more ways than one. :)

Lol that reminds me of when Vinton Harper said Mama told him "get hoppin', you dumb bunny".

Tomas being so clueless could as work well storyline wise as to why Kat likes him. As pretentious as she is she would like a guy less smart than her.
