Where is helicopter mom Amy while this is all going on?  She's not more curious about the adoption?

I think helicopter mom Amy is one of the reasons why a post partum depression storyline for Sophia would be interesting. In a lot of religious circles, mental health still bears a stigma, so her finding out out about her going off the rails but refusing to get her health would be another layer to a potentially interesting story.

With that said, like you point out they've skipped a lot of interesting perspectives on Sophia's situation which gives me the impression she's not long for this show as they're clearly not that interested in her point-of-view despite having a front-burner storyline. I fully expect her to end up in Bayview or worse by the end of the year.

I've sometimes wondered if that's Tyler's way of playing autistic.

I think that's about it. Catching up on Wednesday and I noticed that he's dropped the mumbly thing, but he's seemingly trying to make Theo look off screen a bit and not focusing on who's he's talking with. The issue of course is that Theo's autism has gone the way of Philip's fake leg - it's only ever relevant when the writers decide it is. It's not present in the scripts, but kudos for him for trying to implement it. He's decent and improving thus far.

I think of Theo as being in the Stephanie age range. So if Jeremy is coming in as a spoiler for her and Alex, then Liam would still be in their age group.

Meanwhile, if Mark gets pardoned, he’ll join the list of bachelors: EJ, JJ, Shawn, Jeremy, Liam, Theo, Brady, Philip, Xander, and Rafe. Salem is becoming a bit of a sausage fest. 🌭

One more prediction, not a spoiler, Cat's contract is up soon, thus I imagine Mark won't get paroled, and Cat and her siblings will move up to Vancouver to be closer to him.  Followed by Chad in the spring, but they'll break up off-screen, and nu-Chad will return.

Also, note to Kayla: if your daughter—who has a legendary poor history with men—says she’s nervous about moving in with her boyfriend, don’t gaslight her with romantic wishes. Wouldn’t it be nice if a mother told her daughter to trust her gut now and then, instead of just pushing for marriage and babies?

Regarding Mark. He has been paroles. So i bet he comes back. I think AM is still filming. So if her deal is up in December, we will probably see cat til fall of 2026

One positive of Rachel Boyd being hilariously horrendous is that it shows how truly talented her colleagues are. DAYS out here playing chess!

Chad and Cat stuck together for the third time? Spare me! I don't mind them as a couple, but this repetition is tired. I'm here for the rest though and hopefully tomorrow will give us some other blackout scenarios.

-- Yep. This stuff with Chad and Cat has been numbingly repetitive and even boring.

-- This blackout looks like they put no thought into it, and we already know no money went into it.

-- I'm sure Holly is drinking heavily because she's depressed that she has to live in that ugly and depressing dorm room. Just how broke ass is this college?

-- It's nuts that Amy, the archetype for helicopter moms, has disappeared.

-- Crazy Sophia was the only thing worth watching today. When all else fails, give me some gonzo acting!

Today was a weird one. With a lot of fluff and filler, Ron's two favorites being front and center... and talk of Body&Soul 🤮

I think we know who worked on today's script. 🤮🤮

But welcome back, Bonnie! It's been a while, and it was nice seeing her catch up with Maggie. Too bad that they were mostly wasted on Stephanie's book stuff though.

Speaking of Stephanie, her and Alex seemed a little stupid today. I'm not really sure why the both of them were acting like there wasn't a blackout going on, but whatevs. I gotta admit that all this book stuff seems so low stakes. I mean, if Stephanie's so worried about being exposed as the writer, why the hell did she even let Alex publish the book in the first place? Plus, we never got the impression that she had so much pride. Hopefully, this leads into something a little stronger and with higher stakes, especially now that Jeremy's coming back.

Xander and Sarah were really sweet though. I still think that there's a lot of drama that can be mined from the two of them being at odds. I'm curious to see where they're going to go from here. And Xander did look hot at the end 😍😂

This isn’t your GL 1992 blackout. This blackout is boring!

Why are we doing a blackout if people can move around freely and half the scenes feature people using generators to have lights, electricity, internet, etc??

I blame the breakdown writer 😂😂😂

I'm not disliking it, but the stakes need to be a lot higher...

-Maybe Cat should have been trapped with Julie or Jennifer

-Or Tate ends up trapped with Tesoro somehow

-Or Stephanie gets abducted by some crazy guy who knows she wrote the book and Jeremy ends up saving her or something.

Right. People just saying, "Oh, it's not safe to drive, so we'll sit here and eat chips/dance/talk about Titan" doesn't feel elevated at all.

I do like Judi Evans' haircut, though. It's insane to me that Bonnie and Maggie are sitting around HUGGING, but the hair looks good!

I mean, it's realistic from how blackouts actually tend to look irl unless they're prolonged for days/weeks 😅 But I agree, they need to get better at creating dramatic tension and amp it up. I actually appreciate most of the things they're doing with the overall writing - ie characters actually having grounded real emotions and conversations, but they need to bring it all up a bit.

If people like Ron goes way too far into space, they're right now playing it far too conservative.

I feel the same way. I still enjoyed the last episode for what it was, but I want D-R-A-M-A!!!

Yeah... I stand by what I said on Friday: the blackout's not terrible but the stakes need to be a lot higher. Because if they're not going to be, then what's the point of all this?

And, Susan and Leo were both not necessary. There are plenty of other people that Marlena could have spoken to about her dreams and about passing out again. And, if anything, Gwen should've gotten trapped with Leo from the beginning. She did have a lot of good points though and I'm glad she hasn't forgiven him.

But I did think EJ and Belle were worth watching. I liked that they were able to discuss the regrets that they have about each other, and about John's donation. And, acting wise, they both did a pretty good job as well. I'm interested in seeing where both of them go from here. It could be pretty good if Belle (and Shawn) get involved in whatever EJ's doing at the hospital and try to stop him. Btw, since when does Belle have asthma?

As for Chad and Cat, now that little demon Rachel is back and told Thomas the truth about them, something interesting might happen between them lol Chad looked hot at the end too 😍😂

Has Belle always had asthma?  This is the first I've heard of it.

Why is Susan even still in town?

I think we all know why no child showed up to Rachel's birthday party now lol.

Cat's backstory is terribly confusing.  She traveled, backpacked around Europe, studied Russian cultural, worked for the ISA and then got into the accident with her parents?  Then had years of plastic surgery and hooked up with Clyde for the Abby scheme?    I was under the impression was in the accident as a teen, but it appears she would have been mid 20's.
