Also it wouldn’t be GH if near 60 Jason wasn’t shooting people and getting into fights.

But yet more believable him doing it than Sonny.

Heck, Victor on Y&R went decades still beating up people half his age that irked him. At least with him though I found it plausible because back when Y&R had a gym, we always saw him there or on the ranch working.

I genuinely thought it was fake.  It's not?  Lol

It really does look ridiculous. Maybe JPS is wearing it for a role. Is he playing the lead in the Snub Pollard Story?

At least Chris McKenna had a better selection of facial hair (which may be the only interesting thing about that character).

I swear I have seen JPS with facial hair that was normal.  I really assumed he was using it for a role or was in between filming something else that day.  With the scenes GH showed, I don't think JPS necessarily even had to be on the GH set.  It would be great if "goofy mustache" was a JPS random character choice for Valentin.

Chris McKenna is growing on me slightly.  Brennan is still a nothing character and can go anytime. I know Brennan does interact with several characters, but he always seems so isolated from the rest of Port Charles in that office.  Brennan also comes off as incompetent.  He appears to screw up more often than he gets things right.

I’m surprised I’m enjoying Ava/Kristina/Alexis working together so much but the ladies have managed to turn the deep animosity from last year into some actually great comedy and it’s not bothering me because the chemistry is there. I can’t wait for Ric’s revenge though. This is definitely not going unpunished.

I'm enjoying it largely because of the actors. Maura and Nancy are clearly having a blast and Kate Mansi is also there. No really, she's a good actress but it's like she can't shake playing Kristina as anything but strident and abrasive. If directed I think she could play the humor that MW and NLG are interjecting into the scenes.

I love that Drew's been shot but man, I wish the episode itself had been better executed. We've all seen the The Episode of great soap Whodunits, where we get a look at what the suspects were up to right before the act. Watching them stew in their anger, be on the cusp of something wildly out of character for the majority of them.

With this it's like they turned on the rain machine and expected that to do the heavy lifting. It sucks because Drew is the first Whodunit victim where the buildup to it was lengthy, organic and earned.

I wish he had a home set or something instead of that stupid office. It looks like he works in the TV section of Best Buy.

The more they isolate him the more it's clear that Brennan only exists because Carly, as the female lead, has to have a love interest at all times.

I was bored enough to look and saw a few old tweets from 2018:

I suppose the harsh lighting made the whole thing look even worse.

McKenna mentioned that they didn't film together so I wonder if this was filmed in some bathroom wherever JPS' other current project is.

I do like McKenna, so if he's staying around because he's a FoF, it doesn't really hurt anyone, but I do think, as you've all said a million times, Brennan is a nothing role, one that only got support because people liked Charles Measure and because they have no options for Carly.

(did we ever find out why Charles left so suddenly?)

Chris has been a working actor all his life and yet other than his years on OLTL I'm not sure how many times he's had roles that suit his talents. I heard a lot about that King of the Ants movie but it's not to my taste. In an ideal world, he would find a great job elsewhere and Brennan could be written out, but until that happens they seem to just be stalling the role out as it kills several birds with one stone.

They could at least give him more shirtless scenes.

The story reminds me of what AMC did when they had to deal with some poor writing choices for Skye and Janet and when they were trying to find their way with Erica after the drugs story ended. The whole witches of Pine Valley plot where they held Kinder prisoner.

I agree that Kate Mansi has no guidance in the role. Best to let her go.

I'm still amazed at how ossified Carly is. This is never where I thought she'd be back when I was a fan (the Sarah Brown years), although I guess her fighting with Laura over Deception was a sign.

I am not being even a little facetious when I say this image was a jumpscare.

I fear the Ric plot will fall victim to this bloated canvas. We've seen him, what, once since they tied him up? I wish they had roped Carly into this somehow. In fact I would have replaced Kristina with Carly. Krissy already has an attempted murder charge looming, she doesn't need kidnapping on top it. I don't even like Carly much but these scenes would've had some real bite and earned history with Carly in the mix.

Carly being in the story would have made sense. For a character who is seen as so central to the canvas, she feels very isolated.

Give them time. I'd put money on Carly--or maybe Liz, but probably Carly--finding Ric locked in the basement before the month is up.

I don't recall Carly having any parts of that story or did I forget something.

Ric previously locking Carly in the Panic Room. A full circle thing.

I misread the original comment, but oh, I missed that whole thing. Sounds interesting.
