People tend to be negative when it comes to Jamey but I thought today's episode was damn good! It was well structured with the right mix of stories and focus on each story. It's jarring in comparison to yesterday's episode where I feel like the screentime wasn't balanced causing certain things to be rushed, mostly the Naomi/Jacob stuff. His breakdown felt more like a traditional soap breakdown.

In terms of story, I found Vanessa's scenes to be heartbreaking. I've missed seeing a character as grey as her on soaps. Everything about her is so complicated and Lauren plays all of that in her scenes. I can't wait to see how her kids further deepen her character.

The Dupree scenes were also a classic! That felt like a real family reaction and it was in character for the Duprees. I know some are hating how negative Nicole has become but I'm happy to see the impact the divorce is having on her. It's making me more excited for her ultimate rebound.

The scenes at the police station were also great! We got to follow up on the mystery of what happened with Joey and Marcel and I like that Jacob had the hint of something being wrong. Hayley and Bill were also a great addition to the show. I love that even though we didn't see Caroline, they're continuing the friendship (although I'd love to see it on screen more). Bill's jealousy with Dani made me more excited than even her. I love their chemistry and I want them back at some point but he deserves every bit of torment until he finally can win her back.

I probably should've "spoilered" it, but they popped him right into the credits for all the world to see.  (They also gave the Anita Williams Impersonator a character name -- "Miss Jackie Tyree".)

Oh, Doug could always pop up later, I guess.  But that last shot of him Wednesday, his eyes were all blurry, and he seemed very confused.  Marcel had been bringing him drinks.  I believe the drinks had a sedative in them, they knocked him off, put him in a wrecked car by a tree, and set it on fire.

Hehe at the name.

Exactly! That was such a well-done ending...and a sad one...for Doug. I would hate to see it undone.

I hope everybody tears into Bill's big head since he's partly responsible for Doug's death as well.

I hate that Doug will never know that he betrayed him and went straight to Joey and spilled everything he told him

I also hate that Doug didnt take Randy's advice,  but Doug had that blind rage which ultimately cost him his life.

I wonder if Shanice will become a part of this story since her and Doug had a friendship.

I was dreading Vanessa's reaction to the news about Doug.  Very often, actors take an opportunity like that for sheer histrionics, with lots of melodramatic weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth.  She didn't.  She was more about Disbelief, Quiet Regret, and Deep Remorse.  She's REALLY good.

I don't blame Miss Nicole for getting so snippy with Andre.  The scenes were more like, "I'd like to snatch a KNOT in Ted right now for sleeping with that slut again, but since he's not here, I'll just take it out on YOU, Andre."

Jacob is awfully Eagle Scouty, but he's definitely not a dummy, and Marcel knows it.

So much this. I love it...her disbelief resonated because I still don't believe it.

Vanessa's attitude toward Doug was "oh, he'll always be there when I come home" but now he's not going to be there and I feel like the actress did a good job bringing that all together for a nuanced, yet devastated reaction for the character.

-- I guess all the character deaths on BTG will be off-screen.

-- Lauren Buglioli is usually very good, but I thought that was an over-the-top performance today and histrionic to the extreme. This is a woman who has been screwing other guys all over town and is now having an affair, and she collapses like this? Saying how much she loved him? Just no.

-- Is Vanessa already done suspecting Joey had Doug killed?

-- So Joey and Vanessa are ready for their 4th go-round in bed yet still wearing their underwear. OK then.

-- And why would Joey want Doug dead? I guess Dollar General Mobsters operate this way.

-- THE DUPREES were nauseating today.

-- Commanding Andre to the house instead of Dani shows who they are: people who live to blame others for everything that happens to them. Anita blamed BILL for Dani marrying Andre. WT actual F. These people are so self-righteous and sanctimonious it's nauseating.

-- Nicole was even worse. Andre should have told her to back off and worry about her own pitiful life. Clean up your own mess, Nicole.

-- Bill is making AGE jokes to Dani? Bro is a laughable hypocrite.

-- None of these people care about the impact on their kids. Hayley is right: they're grown-ass women.

-- I hope Dani stays married to Andre just to piss everyone off. I also hope Andre stops letting Dani control everything they do.

I felt absolutely nothing for Vanessa today. She’s treated her husband as annoyance pretty much the entire time the shows been on, and she’s literally on a vacation with one of the men she’s cheating on him with who just had her husband killed. Save the histrionics.

Exactly how I feel. I can't believe how many people here feel sorry for her when she's been nothing but a whore since we met her the first week.

Not once did I feel that she ever cared about their marriage. If you love someone, how do you screw all these different guys? How do you get involved in an affair with a monster you run off to Puerto Rico with? It's laughable.

And I still do not understand Joey's obsession with taking down Doug. Is there no one else in town to play in the Dollar General casino?

The only way to launder money was to take down Doug and go through Vanessa? Makes no sense to me.

Vanessa treated Doug like garbage. She cucked him right in front of his face. Now she's crying? Miss me with that.

It was pretty much established that he wanted to get rid of Doug because he hated the connection that Vanessa had to him and wants her all to himself.

Doug was a nuisance who threatened to expose him and threatened his growing sexual obsession with Vanessa. That was more than enough for Joey.

Agree. Vanessa is a nasty ho. She makes Brooke Logan look angelic.

I hope the kids show up and hear all about Vanessa and resent her. I don’t want them trying to humanize this ho.

She believed Joey didn’t have Doug killed after literally two seconds of convincing.

I mean...it wouldn't be the first open marriage where someone flew off somewhere...with or without killing. So...
