-- Leslie is going to offer double for the house across the street from the Duprees. We know she got one check for $1M. How is that enough to buy a mansion, furnish it, pay the bills, etc.? Would her bank account be sufficient for that kind of loan? I doubt it.

I think it'd be funny if the bank turned down her loan application, based on her lack of liquid assets ($1 million to her name right now, minus what she's already spent, and another distribution coming in 6 months if she's lucky).  Obviously she'll have to finance the Jarvis house with a mortgage, and there's a good bit of uncertainty in what she'll be receiving and when she'll be receiving it.

If the writers recognized that the Duprees have money/power.. but are no better then other wealthy families (i.e. Kennedys, Trumps, etc) then I would applaud them for showcasing that power corrupts no matter the gender, race, age, etc.   However, I think the showrunners/writers truly think The Duprees are this perfect family that we all should strive to be like.

I feel like this has been an issue since the 80s with the Ewings / Carrington's originally being far more "bad guys", but as the Reagan era started taking hold they became more and more the protagonists that you were supposed to root for. I don't see that changing unfortunately as all soaps seem to be clinging onto that era.

Allison is definitely written realistically. There are insane fans that behave just like this.

When Leslie threatened Vanessa with a racial discrimination suit I laughed out loud. I was glad that Vanessa didn't respond with "I can't be racist my husband is black" and I think the writers were smart enough not to do that.

Ted made a fool of himself desperately seeking a cookie for his scheme against Leslie. Your wife's niece was kidnapped and you are all "look at me!!!". It was very selfish and inconsiderate.

Definitely feels like a call-out to how deranged soap fans can be. 🤐

Too Little Too Late Lane. haha. The writers didn't do Ted any favors showing up at the Duprees to try and get credit for his stunt with Leslie.

Betting on Nicole is hysterical!

Nice Smitty/Martin scenes.

Great start to this episode!

The Duprees really punked out Ted today. I didn’t like that at all.

The dialogue again today has been fire. Every word has been pretty much what one would expect the characters to say. So good!
