The Britt/Liesel story about Rocco is insane.  It was never once about Britt wanting a child.  It was a manipulation tactic to get Patrick.  It wasn't some poor woman desperate to have a child.

So ridiculous. And even getting Patrick began as part of the master plan to destroy the Scorpios and Spencers, from Britt's parents. She was not implanting that embryo inside her out of desperate love.

I am not much of a dog person at all, but a silly dog story reminds me of the Foster/Annabelle side story in the 90's.  They were part of the Faces of the Heart 90's credits!! Actually, Lulu would have gotten bonus points if she mentioned Foster.

I am a dog person, but soaps write in pets and seem to either forget about them after a short time or get tired of dealing with animals on set. I just don't see it going anywhere.

It's absolutely maddening. I hate it like the heat of a thousand suns. GH brings back an actor and then does this with her? Why would you want your audience to despise her from the jump?

Or are they completely clueless and think we've forgotten the Britt story and will be moved by her mother's memories?

I wonder what happened to Courtney's cute dog that disappeared after Jason gave it to her in 2002.

Everything about Britt's entire existence is stupid and that's all I'll say for today.

Stealing embryos is obviously illegal and gross, but it's not like Britt cared about the actual human she was stealing.

Yes.

I don't know why anyone is surprised. This is the same blind, hard sell they tried to pull with both Mansi's Kristina re: the baby, etc. and with Natalia last year. When Frank doesn't get traction on something he wants to make work he just keeps pushing, then eventually dumps it altogether for something shiny and new. Which will happen here, too.

Tbh, Foster/Annabelle had a more believable love story than 90% of the current love stories with humans on the cast today lol.

I remember Michael Logan and others at the time complaining about the story, saying Sharon Wyatt was sitting around doing nothing (and then fired) while dogs had storyline.

Did they ever say what happened to them? For some reason I thought Luke mentioned Foster dying.

I think I recall Luke saying Foster died as well.  Luke was kinda a downer.

The dog story was silly-ish.  But it provided some levity in a heavy Labine era.  I don't think the minor dog story took away any potential airtime from Wyatt.  It's was like 10 mins a month lol. Wyatt's time on the show just didn't match the era anymore.   Although I am sure others would disagree.  No disrespect for Sean/Tiffany, but they did feel slightly dated in the 90's.

ETA-I am not saying you couldn't find story for Sean/Tiffany, but I felt their story concluded very naturally and the characters just moved on.

I'll say this much...I will never tire of Drew vs Jason.

And in my viewing I'm getting more Liz so I'm totally fine. So don't hate me, getting a Liason scene so *swoons*

Another great episode on Tuesday with the cliffhanger showdowns of Joss seeing Britt alive and Drew demanding Danny's arrest.

The highlight of the episode was my new fave DarkWillow slapping Lucas in the best show of workplace violence at General Hospital in forever.  Willow as a character has gotten so good & so fun after this Drew relationship and no longer being a boring goody-goody victim.  The actress is fantastic and a beauty ( like Hunter Tylo in the 1980s/1990s).  I hope we continue to have tons of soapy Drew-Willow-Michael drama to come.  Just keep the kids off-screen where they belong!

But I had mixed feelings about how Lucas was used today. If GH wasn't so biased, they could've had him draw a parallel between Willow being so beholden to Drew the same way that Carly is so beholden to Sonny, because the similarities between the two situations were pretty obvious today.

I had similar concerns, but I like that it occasionally feels as though Lucas shares some personally traits with his stubborn, combative sister.

I love the line they’re walking with Willow. I had been worried that they would give her a nervous breakdown and make her simply catatonic, but she has more agency than that. She’s angry and humiliated. She was holding her own with Drew, actually, and Lucas misinterpreted the situation.

He partly misinterpreted the situation, but I think Lucas wasn't entirely wrong when he described Willow as "an addict trying to get her fix" when she was around Drew. I mean, the Willow/Drew scene ended with her consoling him and then asking him to call her immediately (as soon as he got information on Scout). From Willow's perspective, she's just being caring, but it also demonstrates how she still has trouble laying down firm boundaries and staying away from Drew.

The writers really needed to completely forget Britt's first run on this show. To see them instead doubling down on it is insane. What's the point; it does no one any favors.

It's too bad though, because I was looking forward to him being at odds with Carly and Sonny

Same, and hopefully that still happens, considering the confrontation we saw between Carly and Marco.
