-- I loved the Smitty and Martin scenes. The chemistry is there after a slow start in February, and I want them back together.

I almost forgot...same. Mike Manning is making a believer out of me but both actors have that 'look of longing' stare down pat.

BTG has been absolute fire. It just keeps getting better and better.

I, too, want Smitty & Martin back together. They feel like a real couple to me now. I, also, love Samantha & Tyrell.

TT was incredible in her scenes Friday and today. So good.

And I think my favorite thing about today's episode: they actually had a full room of extras at the country club. Such a joy to watch and witness.

The characters referred to the venue as this real-life theatre in D.C.

The concert was filmed on location at a local college campus theatre in the Atlanta area.

Update.  It was at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta.

Did you guys enjoy today’s episode?! How phenomenal were the Articulettes?! 🤩

This was probably a 14 hour day. I am so thankful I get to work with a cast and crew that I genuinely enjoy being around. We definitely keep each other entertained on long days like this! ❤️

This will go down as a classic BTG episode. It had everything that you want out of these events and the inclusion of Barbara really tied the story together and gave it heart. I'm glad they resisted the urge to make one of the Articulettes a villain and instead made them flawed women who love each other like sisters. I love the chemistry of the three women and that they're finally at peace now.

The after party was incredibly done and I feel the way it was directed and edited made it seem like a bigger event that it likely was. It's amazing to see how far the production is coming when you see them pull off episodes like this.

Leslie was the perfect drama element since they already established her love for The Articulettes. I'm glad we didn't have a bomb or a shooting, just real human drama. This was just enough without overshadowing the event.

What really sticks with me as I catch up (while also watching some current stuff) is how the Articulettes story - clearly very personal to MVJ - built more and more and got richer because of the time they took with Anita and the women. That juxtaposed with simple, kind stuff like Vernon telling Naomi stories about friends in the movement with medical issues, etc. really show how organic and goodhearted the show is. I can take issue with execution, with some of the writing staff or actors or pacing, but it has some very strong bones. I even eventually got over the fact that neither of the other bandmates was a daytime name like Debbi Morgan, Valarie Pettiford, etc. which I think might've been a real boon, because the two women in the roles have been quite good.

I do think they can and should introduce relatives for Tracy and Sharon (or Barbara) and build on the story in future in a thornier way, but it has been heartfelt, classically soapy stuff.

We're all pretty good about criticizing this scene or that scene, this character or that character, this actor or that actor --- but most days, BTG is head & shoulders above what the other shows are providing in 2025, and today was definitely one of those days.

Absolutely!

All of this. 🤎 Especially that BTG is has *heart* in its bones.

Wow....BTG brought me to tears today actually, and that has not happened to me with a TV show in a very, very long time.

I had a close friend take her own life about 15 years ago, and it's always haunted me that maybe I could have done something...anything...that would have changed that. So, Anita "getting forgiveness from Barbara after all these years, had me bawling like a baby.

Damn you MVJ! :)

here's to healing

I loved these last two episodes, they were instant classic with lots of heart. I’ve been saying from the get go that even in its worst days, BTG has a wholesome quality about it.
