Yaayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! I'm still on John's Death Week, but I've been enjoying the new writers and what they are doing. Good to hear there will be more.

This is wonderful news. When the show was first moved to Peacock I thought they may have just been burning the order off, I wasn't even sure how long Peacock itself had been around. Yet they have clearly performed well enough to stay for what may be 5 years or more, even if Love Island gets the headlines. I wish there were more streaming soaps, but at least DAYS is still showing there's a path in that direction.

This is definitely the news I needed to hear today 😀😀🎉🎉🎉

I can't even begin to describe how happy I am that this happened.

Frankly I still think they're key to helping Peacock stay afloat in the streaming crash. Soaps are consistently underestimated for that.

It amazes me, in a good way, that Days has continued to chug along when people assumed back in the mid to late 2000s that Days wouldn't last beyond 2009/2010.. yet continues to soldier on.

It truly is the little show that could :)

Love that!

They really need to pour more money into the production, for actors and sets, and stop shooting so far ahead. And what about finally posting some classic episodes, like episodes from the 80s? Surely that might get a bunch of new people to sign up?

And another plus to this renewal: Three more years of talking about Days with y'all! 😊😊😊😊😊

We all know with Days’ taping schedule that actually means six years 😆

I’m so happy for Days to continue to thrive and with the Ron era behind us I’m hoping for the continued best.

Now  @Taoboi where are my “Josh Griffith Dismissed!” and “Thudley Retires!” headlines??

So yeah, it may not be the soap it once was, but it's clearly still got enough gas in the tank to keep going strong (at least on streaming).

Even though I don't watch DAYS on Peacock, I'm incredibly happy for this news. Not just one year, but two. That's amazing! It'll give them some breathing room to settle in and plan story. It will also, hopefully, give Peacock a chance to get things in order and grow as a service before the next renewal.

More good news for soaps in general. Let's keep it going!
