Chelsea and Ted both being stupid today.   I'm glad they eventually told Allison and Leslie to back off, but there should never have been interactions to back off from.

The idea of the Allison/Chelsea/Madison triangle is solid, but it is moving way too fast. I wished they had developed Chelsea's role in Craig and Allison's relationship more fully and then explored Chelsea and Allison as a pairing more deeply.  I'm curious to understand why Allison pushed Chelsea away when she first suggested seeing her separately. Was this already part of Allison's game or was it genuine and Allison felt conflicted about seeing Chelsea without Craig? What were Craig and Allison's rules for bringing in a third party? It also would have been interesting if Allison did randomly appear with a bruise before all this potential abuse had started. A real bruise that Craig caused or one caused by accident, but Chelsea would have called back to how she remembered Allison coming to her with a bruise and being weird about it. It would create more doubt around Allison's motives.

Jacob pisses me off! Families and friends with connections with police, usually count on police to downplay or soften things like this, especially well connected families like the Duprees. It would be another thing if this was a murder. On top of it all, we are dealing with Leslie here who Jacob is well aware of his antics. I understand he wants to play by the book, but the way he approached Nicole (who is family) was wild. He could have said look Nicole, I need to get this statement and I will let you know that Leslie is claiming x,y, and z. Instead, he was ready to take her in. The irony is that he wants to do his job so well by playing by every rule to the extreme, but he needs to rely on Kat and Smitty to make sense of anything.

Back to Hayley for a moment.

Maybe the twist is she is pregnant and the writers are leading us,and Dani along.

There will be a physical confrontation b/w Hayley/Dani causing Hayley to lose the baby.

Thus setting up many ramifications.

The mystery phone call from Hayley will turn out to be another issue-long lost relative.

Then, why lie to Bill about having an ultrasound?

Ted exists to be a useful idiot. He’s a one-dimensional, stock soap character. He’ll probably be a corpse before the year is over with. Or at least should be, the way he’s written.

I actually won't be surprised if that's the case. Whatever was interesting and compelling about Ted is pretty much gone now. And I'm now at the point where I don't even want Ted and Nicole back together anymore, especially since they don't really have the same chemistry they used to before the recast. I would wait until Ted and Eva's father/daughter relationship is developed enough to have enough impact for Ted's death as well as the potential reveal that Eva is actually Nicole's daughter and not Leslie's. On the other hand, Ted potentially dying could really shake things up and I definitely think we're long overdue for an on-screen major character death.

Kat/Eva are the sister rivalry that's going to happen but I don't think Tomas is the guy they should fight over. Tomas is not any type of prize IMO.

  • Keith D. Robinson (Ted) continues to kill it with his material; he has such a command in his acting. I need more of him.

Agreed. I negative comments are just bizarre to me.

Looks like Ted would tell Leslie, "Look.  Your voice carries.  I can hear you from across the room.  You don't gotta put your NOSE right up against mine to talk to me."

Well for me, it's not that he's a bad actor. He really isn't, and he has grown on me tbh. BUT I have to agree with something I saw online yesterday: I lay it on the writing. And what the writing appears to be giving him...which isn't too much...and what's on screen...is that they want this version of Ted in a traditional soap triangle with Nicole and SilkPress. And I'm not sure if that will fly. But I've said this from the moment NuTed had his first scenes with SilkPress and all of a sudden, Nicole's POV vanished from the storyline for lengthy periods of time.

If they keep doing it the way they are currently doing it, I feel it would be a fumble. SilkPress has not been written into a corner yet, but she's done a lot for the audience to believe she would win Ted back. And when is he fighting for his marriage? It just feels like a way to keep Trisha Mann-Grant...which isn't a bad thing. But...???

I've gotten use to the new Ted, and I thought the actor played Ted with a bit more strength today then what he's been playing previously.  His approach seems to be more restrained and pragmatic vs the more spark plug approach/aura that OG Ted had.

This Ted I could see being sucked in by Silk Press Sheila and perhaps seeing something good in her vs OG Ted where I viewed his interactions with SPS as being more intense.. and not understanding how he could have gone for her.

Today's show frustrated me.

-- If the show is presenting a Ted/Nicole/Leslie triangle, it's a fail. It will not work because viewers will overwhelmingly side with Nicole. Ted will be HATED for being so stupid and naive, while Leslie will just be "appreciated" for being a loon and crazed. It makes no sense for Ted to be interested in Leslie, nor does it make sense for him to entertain her in his hotel room for conversations.

-- Having Ted show interest in Leslie could possibly kill his character not even 6 months into the show. Unlike others, I do not want the character written off.

-- I'll repeat what I've said before: Keith D. Robinson is a strong actor who's been given weak writing. They haven't given him anything to play in his scenes with Nicole.

-- The Chelsea/Madison/Alison story has been rushed from the beginning, starting with the threesome to the "We're in love." It's all ridiculously rushed.

-- Jacob took the right approach with Ted as far as giving a statement about Nicole and Leslie fighting, but that only highlighted how aggressively he questioned Nicole. It made Jacob look ridiculous, and it frustrated me.

-- Tomas is coming off like a complete moron. He's supposed to be a smart and savvy lawyer? OK, then don't tell Eva all the tea on Kat. Don't kiss her like you want to bed her. Don't hold her hand as you leave the restaurant.

-- Isn't Tomas supposed to be wary of Bill as his boss? Would he really be this stupid in dealing with Kat?

-- And by the way, none of those cute scenes with Tomas and Eva worked because Alex Alegria is stiff as a board and awkward as hell. Ambyr Michelle is great, which makes him look even worse by comparison.

-- The star of today's show was once again Daphnee Duplaix. She owns the screen as Nicole.

Cue the EXACTLY gif. I feel that was the intention, too.

Same. And that's definitely how it's looking online. A fail.

Exactly! So that brief moment of it today did not sit well with me at all. I've worried about that since the first moment they had a conversation alone in SilkPress's apartment.

Same. She can't get on the warpath soon enough for me. I'm loving all things Daphnee Duplaix this week.

You mean to tell me Jacob is going around town interrogating people about this assault but didn’t bother to check the victims fake injury? He truly is an idiot

Can I take a moment to say how much I love that Nicole is NOT playing Dumb Heroine? I loved that she saw right through SilkPress like glass in a window.

Oh yeah...thanks for the reminder. Guess I'm just hoping hat they don't go down the fake pregnancy route. There's no way that story can work.

Yes, if you were a new viewer you wouldn't think Jacob had any connection to Nicole by the way he interacted with her. That whole approach was wrong.

I didn't mind the Ted/Leslie scenes as I read it as him not responding to her provocations and trying to just ease her out w.o causing a scene. And it is a soap, they have to have these slightly contrived scenes. Not much drama if Ted slammed the door in her face.

Tomas is coming across as incredibly dumb or a total sleaze revealing all this personal stuff to Eva.

I just can't with Kat in those baby girl outfits. I hope she grows out of that look.

Daphne is def MVP. She must get some of the same awkward lines as other characters but her delivery is flawless and you don't notice them.

And Ambyr is another gem.
