That's what I was referring to. A lot of actors and actresses used it in old films. It is pretty much all you hear in 1940s movies.

I actually find the Transatlantic accent kind of charming and quirky... and I'd prefer to the vocal fry/valley speak of nowadays LOL

Jacob asking Kat how did she know where he was. Ninja, you only are at 1 of 3 sets. The station, your house and Orphey Genes

Haha...that was my same thought. Well, where else would you be?

I'll have to watch today's episode on Paramount+ tonight. My local news is breaking in to cover Trump's arrival to Kerrville, TX. I live about an hour away. Such a horrible situation that was. I had very close friends there during the floods who thankfully were able to evacuate in time before their home was washed away.

Oh wow. Sorry to hear but glad they are all fine.

I will also do a rewatch on Paramount+ today, because I am tuning in and out. I'm a bit bored if I am honest.

Not Jacob and Kat sharing dessert, and he looks like he got busted when new boo Bradley walks in lol.

It's just not authentic. Who nowadays naturally speaks that way? It is not an accent that is around today unless you are forcing it or playing a role. I would have preferred a watered down British accent from someone who has lived here for a long time.

I really didn't need this Dani and Andre situation to take this direction right now. I could have been spared seeing them go to bed for the 100th time. We hardly get any love scenes, but we have seen Dani and Andre at it multiple times and lord knows how many times we need to flashback to Vanessa and Joey.

Also, NuTed is an all around idiot. Did he really drive Leslie home? Like boy, you just keep getting played and buy into the manipulation.

All this. I am losing interest in Dani and Andre.

Ted feels like a total plot device at this point. His behavior with both Leslie and Kat/Eva makes no sense, and the actor isn’t even trying to sell it.

Speaking of which, Cady McClain simply doesn’t have the comedic chops to sell such a ridiculous character as Pamela, who seems like she’s influenced by Dorit from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with that imprecise Mid-Atlantic accent. She’s like a bizarre Agnes Nixon-style eccentric and has zero rapport with Karla Mosley.

Thank you!  Very scary situation for sure and just thankful my immediate circle made it out ok. ♥️

This Articulette mess is giving Xscape: Still Kickin' It vibes. Anita (Kandi) doesn't need this tour to be successful, because she already has money. The other band members are bitter because one of them left to seek their own solo success and also mad that she was always bossy and trying to control everything (Latocha).

Here with go with the Articulette Strong again.

No, Chelsea. You are not being followed... you pretty much live at Uptown.

I don't think they're hating on Anita. Anita is not a team player.  Not everything has to be about her or her way. And if she's so damn accomplished, why can't she lay low and let her sisters have a moment?

We need things to move along with this Martin secret. The stop and go formula knocks a bit of the life out of it.

I was a bit bored today, but will give it a proper rewatch later.

I mean the most exciting part for me was Naomi's hair in the previews.

  • Deadbeat is really pissing me off; I'm going to really need Bradley to realise he's not winning in this one-way street of a marriage.
  • Of course Sharon's ugliness would come out with any suggestion Anita makes. Don't change your true colours, auntie. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.
  • I love seeing Madison a bit worried about meeting Anita Dupree of the Articulettes. That's a good detail to see.
  • You don't kiss and run?! Deadbeat, you do nothing but run... hypocrite to the highest degree.
  • That little moment with one of Chelsea's fans was super cute; I don't know if I'd be brave enough to walk up to someone in that way.
  • Maybe, just maybe, if Deadbeat would just be honest, his approach would be understandable with those he lives with. Instead, he's a moron who wants to keep things secretive. And now Marcel is welcomed in his home? No, thanks.
  • I appreciate that Jacob is not willing to make exceptions... I am just hoping he lives up to his words, because if not, he will be nothing short of a hypocrite.
  • I appreciate Tracy being honest and forward with Anita concerning the choreography of the reunion concert. But good on Anita for throwing Sharon's words right back in her face... like a backhanded slap to the face.
  • Police protection?! Deadbeat is really working this in the wrong manner and is trusting the wrong people. What an absolute moron. I pray Bradley goes on, takes the kids and high-tails it out of there.
  • It's disappointing that after settling some of their dust and grievances, both Sharon and Tracy feel the need to revisit this. Tracy, your ass has quit this reunion a handful of times since it was mentioned... sit your ugliness down and eat some humble pie.
  • Allison is full-on giving psycho ex-lover/fan, and I feel like Madison could get caught in the crossfire.
  • Good on Anita for tossing those two ungrateful bitches out of her hotel suite (gorgeous suite, by the way).
  • Bradley, be careful!
  • Oh Kenny, showing up with Samantha. Y'all better stop.

Notes:

  • Continued Beyoncé mentions and a P!nk mention?! YES! We love a P!nk mention!! That is a rockstar!! Sharon's ugliness wishes she could do what P!nk does.
  • Well, here's the "on location" everyone wanted. Knew it'd be back.
  • Next week looks very, very exciting!!!
