For the theory that June might be connected to Sharon or Tracy -- especially Tracy:  At the start of the phonecall to the number on June's photo, Naomi identified herself as "Naomi Richardson Hawthorne".    Would Sharon or Tracy recognize that name as being Anita's granddaughter?
Maybe not at that moment of the phonecall.  Perhaps later on after hanging up, the mystery woman might realize who Naomi is?

Another poster upthread wondered if perhaps the mystery woman answering the phone call is a new person that is sister to both Hayley and June.  Hmmmm.

Those character interactions wouldn't have been prevented if the secret was revealed to the audience through Martin's dream. Maybe we would have understood why Martin doesn't want to tell his family or maybe even empathize with his course of action a little more. We could have seen Martin struggle with his decision to hold the press conference. However, keeping the secret hidden from the audience this long, has taken the life out of certain scenes. The scene with Kenny and Smitty was so brief and revealed nothing. It could have been so juicy had we known the secret and we saw Kenny taunting Smitty about it. Both men having a real face off. The men gathered at Bill's office as many have mentioned before was pointless. All that to have Martin have a breakdown so nothing else would be shown just to keep the secret under wraps. Now we have had multiple scenes with Smitty and Jacob and Vernon and Bill that don't go anywhere and regurgitate mostly the same thing all for the sake of this secret not being out to the viewer. Ted who knows his son's secret is MIA and being played by Leslie. This would have been a great time to build that father/son relationship we really haven't seen from Martin and Ted. I mean Vernon is pretty much the paternal role in Martin's life.

My understanding in the beginning and based on conversations that Martin had was that he wasn't fully aware of his dream or what happened that night. Otherwise, why would he go talk to his mother and say he's been having weird dreams and not sure what they're about. When Nicole told him to seek help, he knew not to because Vernon had just told him he couldn't talk to anyone about it. He had conversations with Vernon that implied he didn't know what happened. When he first confronted Kenny, he wasn't sure what the whole "What color is your money?" thing was about. I think it would have been interesting around now...maybe a week or two ago, Martin would have at least had the realization of what this dream was all about. The secret wouldn't need to come out to everyone, but it would have kept some momentum going. Right now, we are in this weird limbo of reveal and nothing really moving for the sake of keeping the secret still secret.

It was a little ridiculous for all these men to get Kenny where they wanted him to then botch the plan and have Kenny parade all over town like he didn't have a hit on him. It's fine that Randy didn't go through with it...but is Joey a criminal or is he cosplaying as one? You mean to tell me Big Bad Joey has never had someone offed and that Randy, his right hand, has never had to do something this questionable? There is where sometimes I feel the creators are too close to their characters. Maybe someone didn't want to make Randy an intentional murderer, but at least make Kenny's escape something more believable. I know there aren't many sets, but this could have been done in a more interesting way.

I'm ready for today Tuesday. I think something will be revealed today, and then the fallout will begin as ramifications start to happen over several episodes. (Not a spoiler, just guessing).
Today's the day?! hopefully

Today is Episode #91.  Looking forward to Episode #100 which airs Tues. July 29.  My *speculation* is that there will either be a new layer of the Martin storyline, or a new reveal of a completely different storyline?
Months ago, Police Chief Elon Hawthorne asked Anita to work on the police benefit event.
I think the police event will be just a local event; but maybe Marcel Malone and Chief Hawthorne will be exposed for their connection to Joey and/or Martin?

Or maybe Episode #100 could be the Articulettes reunion concert, but I don't think that's happening quite yet?  Not sure.

I really hope that the Articulettes are doing something separate from the police event, LOL -- The Articulettes reunion is intended to relaunch the individual careers of Tracy and Sharon, and a local police benefit event wouldn't do that.

Episode #100 is nine episodes from now.  Maybe it's just something fun? Whatever it is, I'm looking forward.

Yesterday Tuesday July 15:  I loved Naomi & Jacob's entire conversation.

Naomi to Jacob:
"You know, growing up, the Richardsons were always the secure, stable branch of the family. But now it's looking like they were just better at hiding their drama, while us Hamiltons let our freak flags fly."

There was an interesting parallel going on.

Samantha/Tyrell/Smitty conversation: they have a pact in their family (including Martin) that they always tell each other everything, which makes it harder for them since Martin hasn't been telling them.

Naomi/Jacob: we always tell each other everything, and Jacob admits that he almost considered not telling Naomi about Martin, because he didn't want to cause her worry, but he told her anyhow.  (implying that he is honoring their trust by telling her.)

Meanwhile Nicole is going to be so enraged that Vernon, Anita, and Ted  wanted to hide the Martin mess.

I agree with some of your points.

Martin should have told Smitty and the kids first, obviously.  But I get why he didn't bring his staff or a "crisis management team" to the press conference.   Vernon, Bill, and others have been "managing" this crisis for the past two years, and did it poorly.  I can see why Martin now doesn't trust anyone to handle things except himself.

Martin has no sense because ultimately Vernon has not appropriately trained Martin to handle crises effectively.  Vernon's "solutions" have been to *throw money at it* and to suppress the truth.  Vernon is a strong, fierce, and suave character, but not as savvy as he wants everyone to believe.

Martin knows this is all to convenient/suspicious.  The only thing that makes sense is that the situation was engineered.

He's not falling for Bill/Marcel/Vernon manipulation anymore.

I don't like anything about Joey Armstrong.  That character needs to leave the show.

Okay Martin is finally telling Smitty everything!  And ... commercial.
Glad I'm watching live but.
Will watch again later on Pplus without commercials so I can see it straight through.

    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
    • Luna parachutes herself into Llanview at the end of September 15th 1991.
    • That lengthy flashback does make me wonder if she threw out a lot, but I agree it may have been too easy an urban legend. Would these have been her very first episodes? I imagine you could feel the big difference when Bobbie arrived, alongside the Quartermaines filing in, the return of Heather, and Lesley/Rick/Monica/Alan heating up. It does remind me that there must have been some dud moments in the 60-minute format we just don't see because little of the period is available in full.  I wonder how much longer the Dantes lasted under Marland.  David Hamilton is so disgusting. I appreciate the show making him disgust as some shows when they have stories about older men or women manipulating teens aren't as honest.  I can't see this Rick being friends with him. Chris Robinson's Rick, on the other hand, I could believe.
