There's probably nothing "nefarious" about the break.  It's a new show, ain't performing too spectacularly in the ratings as far as I can tell, and the network likely feels there are thousands of viewers out there who'd be willing to sample it, if they could watch the initial "set-up" of the show.

I can only speak for myself, but I watched the first episode in February, saw a lot of potential in the show but was very disappointed in the actual execution (too much clumsy, cringe-worthy dialogue, not enough music to "smooth" out the clunky speeches, too much lavish "Du Praise" heaped on the core family, and such a plethora of characters fired at the viewer at such a rapid pace).  I skipped the rest of the initial week, but have half-ass followed it ever since.

For viewers like me (and those who missed the first week entirely), this is probably a good opportunity to get reacclimated with who's who, which kids are Nichole's and which kids are Dani's, and who that 30-year-old lady is living with Smitty and Martin.  lol

I'm betting there isn't, but I'm getting a kick out of people on line banging their heads about it.

LOL, I stopped thinking about this days ago. Life moves on. So will BTG. At least people who have never seen crazy Dani will have the pleasure of witnessing her in her prime week in the show. 5 episodes of verbal and physical abuse. I may even re-watch them.  😂

Episode #100 will now air Tuesday June 29 (if there are no further repeats, delays, disruptions, or preemptions).

That will give us 11 episodes (two weeks plus one day)
after the current break before Episode #100.
I wonder if that will be the Martin reveal?

It will now air when?

When I watch online, I do it through the cbs.com site. Would that be included with Paramount+? I'm not sure how it works, but are cbs.com and paramount+ separate? Would that lower P+'s numbers/ranking for the show?

(Sorry for my ignorance)

While the links are virtually the same (interchangeable by changing cbs.com to paramountplus.com and vice versa for video URLs), "ratings" for either site are combined only when CBS touts its multiplatform viewership. Otherwise, as separate websites, they are ranked independently of each other, like CBS would be ranked separately from BET or Nickelodeon in terms of cable/broadcast audiences.

If more people are watching on CBS.com (free) vs. Paramount+, that is generally not a good thing since Paramount only sees ad revenue for CBS.com viewership while Paramount+ gets the ad revenue (depending on plan) and subscription fees.

It’s funny they should rerun the first week as if it helped introduce new viewers to the show when in fact that first batch of episodes was so exposition-heavy and IMHO ill-conceived that it was almost like starting a soap midway 😂

Yes, I still think the premiere was such a missed opportunity. There should have been something explosive to hook viewers. Imagine Dani in the car driving up to the country club and as Best of My Love is playing, she pulls out the gun on Haley and Bill at their wedding. From there we could have flashed back to what built up to that point.

Also, why repeat the first week? The premiere is the most watched episode to date and the premiere week is still the most watched week. Let's be real, a hoard of people aren't just randomly tuning in especially since there was no promo about this week's change. Similarly, if anyone is watching that doesn't normally already, it's those that were curious and have probably already watched the first week and tune in from time to time or those that on occasion leave their TVs on after YR and BB. I feel it would have been wiser to play some of the more entertaining episodes such as Leslie and Eva's reveal at Ted and Nicole's anniversary.

Laid out all together like this, this is actually so funny. 😃

Off line people who watch BTG are going to be soooo confused about the repeat's. CBS could have at least put a banner onscreen saying they were repeating the premiere week

What about the live airing on CBS' official website via our local CBS affiliate station?

I feel like they kind of wasted the Articulettes reunion. The scenes of Anita reading the letter were amazing, but it didn't really work out having them briefly reunite right before Tunie went on leave. That didn't shake up the canvas as much as it could have, although I'm sure they will get back to it.

I wonder if this "They will get back to it" idea hurts the show.

We've heard it mentioned time and time again that BTG seems to plant a story and then drop it. Then we mention it was dropped and -- voila -- it's back. I can see doing this occasionally, but I don't think it works all the time.

Vewers are conditioned and viewers have expectations. Always delaying the return of stories seems counter-productive to me.

If you are watching your local station through the CBS.com website, you are counted as watching content on CBS.com, with the operators tracking what part of the site or service you are utilizing. In this case, watching CBS content through the website.

That said, only Nielsen households are counted as watching their local CBS affiliate, regardless of whether it is on TV or on CBS.com, as they are documenting what they are watching at any given time, with notations of how they accessed the content also being provided.

Overall, it's complicated.

Nothing relating to The Drew Barrymore Show, which primarily airs in the mornings on the CBS Owned Stations. The talk show has been airing reruns since mid-to-late May and won't return with originals until September.

Ratings for Drew and most syndicated shows stopped being freely accessible when TV News Check stopped publishing them last year. The numbers you might be referring to are likely from the rarely sent out press releases from the show, primarily touting its social media viewership over actual viewers on TV.

Drew generally averages about 900,000 viewers, which, in the end, isn't that much. At its worst, The Talk was still the third most watched among daytime network and syndicated talk shows.

Thanks for the explanation. You're right, it was press releases I read from the show, touting ratings gains in December & early February - nothing after. It does air at 3 on a bunch of CBS stations, including some O&Os. As most affiliates air talk shows at 3, I wonder if CBS is hearing complaints about the lead-in to that slot.

I've heard that said a few times before, but do we have any evidence of that post-BB? I know since there's been Generations, The City, PC, Sunset Beach, and Passions. While I don't know their numbers well, I don't think any of those were able to increase their numbers over time. They kinda just remained stagnant for a while and then dropped.

Passions grew its ratings towards its 18 month mark and 2ish years later was beating or tied with the non-Y&R CBS shows in W18-49 regularly. That said, BTG started relatively way stronger in the demos than all 5 of those shows.

I was worried it would be complicated. Damn. Hoping it [does] amount to something in the end, LOL!

I believe it was the Women 18-34 and Teens 12-17 demos. I don't ever recall "Passions" being a strong performer in Women 18-49.
