Really interesting interview! I loved hearing about his close relationship with his mom and the family business he opened with her after the last time he got fired from GH. It honestly sounded like he'd had some rough experiences with GH over the years, including being asked to screentest after he'd already been offered the role of Ric in 2002.

I'm finally catching up on Soapy and it hasn't disappointed. Season 2 is so good, they're more polished and professional and I love it.

Susan Lucci - I mean, goddess and queen. I just ordered her new book. I loved how Rebecca's father had a crush on her and how Rebecca grew up watching AMC.

Judy Blye Wilson - what a legend she is. Being at AMC for ~20 years and ALL the great talent that she brought in. What a career. Based on the timeline of the Renee Goldsberry thing, I wonder if she auditioned for Taylor? It would make sense. I also found it so amazing how HARD she fought the producers and execs for Mark Consuelos as Mateo. Kelly and Mark really owe it to her for their relationship haha.

Rick Hearst - love all the GL talk. LOL at how he said Ron Raines wore a toupee! I had no idea, I'll have to watch out for it. I loved how close Rick and Rebecca were in their 7-8 months together on GL before Rick left. Oh and how much they loved Peter Simon, that's great to know! I will say, I love Alan-Michael Spaulding... Rick can be a lot as a personality, so I prefer Alan-Michael in my mind :P But still enjoy the guy generally. I want to find his first scenes as Ric on GH after his story about quickly learning Spanish while in a South American jail. I also find it fascinating how they talk about NLG and acting with her. It doesn't sound easy at all, but what a wild ride I guess it is.

The jealousy of Greg. SMH. I’m sure that Greg does not have the power to book who appears on this successful podcast, but if he does, all the more power. This podcast has really improved so much. Must watch every week. Who didn’t like the tea that Jackee spilled this week? Juicy. Looking forward to all the upcoming episodes, especially Ron Carlivati. The haters will be watching. lol

Ron has had his ups and downs but I do think he makes sense as a guest and I'm interested in hearing what he has to say. Now on the Ron subject, I will say I was disappointed in the Donna Mills episode. I feel like they brushed over so much of her career and seemed unprepared and I hated all the focus on GH. Instead of asking if she'd return to daytime in general, they kept pushing her to return to General Hospital and said how Ron loved her and created this character and blah blah blah. Finally she said the role was one-dimensional and not satisfying to play. I was so happy she said that and shut it down.

They could've gone into more depth about Knots or Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, her tv movies, her work with Jordan Peele, etc. but instead wanted to focus on a dreadful role she got on GH.

That's just dumb. A rare black mark for this show. I'm glad Donna shut down discussion of Madeline.
