I don't know ATWT, so when he was mentioned on BTG, I looked it up then, and learned that Duncan was married to Tamara Tunie's ATWT character.  I had to read the whole thing to follow what the "June" character fantasized on BTG. LOL.

Now I look him up again, and I see that on ATWT he was also married to Colleen Zenk's ATWT character?

Okay so mystery guy in Mariah's flashback of her drunken trauma from her recent business trip ... is not Ian Ward. But could he be someone connected to Aunt Jordan?  Probably not but who knows.

Episode #13140 (season 52, episode 170)
Monday June 9 U.S. (Friday June 6 Canada)

Phyllis tries to get Daniel to be more ambitious, but he'd rather play music.
She brags that she got an invitation to the Dumas event in France.

At the park, Tessa asks Mariah to tell her about the traumatic event, but Mariah feels it's unsafe to discuss.  Mariah shares with Tessa some things about her fears of Ian, and about drinking that night; but then Mariah has more flashbacks of the old man (Michael Swan character), and she panics and runs.

Later, Mariah encounters Daniel and Tessa, who ask if she's okay; but Mariah freaks out and snaps at Tessa to leave her alone.

(Same episode)
Monday June 9 U.S. (Friday June 6 Canada) -- continued

Nick and Sharon discuss Sharon accompanying Nick to the Dumas event in France.   Sharon notes that their trip to London was about their children.  Nick feels that Sharon would keep him calm on this business trip if he needs that.  Sharon says she shouldn't go because Mariah is traumatized and needs her.

Later, Nick and Sharon and Phyllis encounter one another at GCAC.  Sharon tells Phyllis that she was Nick's guest at Nikki's birthday party.  Phyllis tells them that she just received her own invitation to the Dumas event.

    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s, because when Rita was accused of killing a patient when she lived in Texas, part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
    • Thank you. She’s disgusting.
    • I've already stated that I don't like Doug being written as this meek and submissive. It was so lame watching him leave her like that. Vanessa can divorce him, but she then needs to get her thot ass into therapy. She's not only having sex with every guy she runs into, but is now having  sex with a skeevy perv on a poker table. I'm going to give the BTG some credit here. For months, many on this board were delighting in the Vanessa/Joey flirting and what they saw as chemistry. I think we're now seeing what the writers always intended -- that Joey is a disgusting POS wannabe mobster.
    • John Black actually was the ultimate good guy soap hero. So I don’t mind the town gushing over him. It’s deserved.
    • Be glad it wasn't a Perry production.

    • The whole town gushing over John Black as if he was a saint is eye rolling.  I guess death really colors people's memories over his many flaws, but I guess that is normal and human nature. I'm still confused as to why Leo hasn't been written out.  The actor stank up two soaps with his sub par acting, what does he have on TPTB's to remain on these soaps.   What's the point of Cat?  I hope the new head-writers figure out her purpose and develop her character. And I much prefer scenes not focusing on John's death because life does go on for the world when someone passes.
