Paul, revealing to Brady that he feels like he’s the only one of John’s kids or step kids to miss out on having a relationship with him was kinda sad but also really sweet. I like that Brady was there to comfort him. And we got a flashback to the Pride party too.

I know this really has nothing to do with the episode, but Tori's reasoning for keeping Paul from John was always dumb to me.   She found out he was a priest and didn't want to burden him?  Lol.  Ma'am, this man already had children when he became a priest (again in 1995).  I don't think he would have had a problem with baby Paul, especially since Paul is way more awesome than his other children.

Her whole explanation was pretty dumb 😂

The writers really should’ve consulted Jason47 or another Days expert before they wrote the reasons for Paul’s existence, and why John never knew about him.

Luckily, Christopher Sean got me to overlook it 😂😂😂

Deidre is wearing purple for these scenes.  Maybe it's a coincidence but maybe it's intentional.  Purple is the color for supporting pancreatic cancer research.

😢

Christopher Sean makes up for a multitude of sins lol.

Belle and her DNR orders lol.

If I were John I would only claim Paul and Carrie.  That's why he's the hero.  He pretends to like his other kids.😂

John will sadly be gone soon... but at least he'll be with his true love Isabella, or Izzy B as he called her.

Ugh.  That actually depressed me more.  JOHN and MARLENA forever 😂

These writers had me by crying like a bitch today. I loved literally every scene! We are being invited to watch high stakes emotional drama that has me glued to the screen. Great acting all around. Applause, applause!

Maggie really has went ridiculously easy on Xander through the years, so to see her turn on him so ferociously was delicious. The beauty of it all, is now Xander has become the underdog, which puts him in a great place to watch as a viewer.

I'd like to see Sarah and Brady be built up as a strong male/female friendship, just like I think could work between Gabi/Alex as well.

There's a sick sort of irony in the (presumed) fact that amidst all this drama with Xander (a Kiriakis) in connection to John/Marlena and the Bradys, a DiMera (EJ) will stand to gain from it. The real villain of the piece swooping in when their attention and vitriol is elsewhere.

That's how I feel too. I know it's not popular around here

Today's episode was really good. I love the way they've transformed Xander into a true villain. I never cared for him but the actor is doing a great job with this material. I also feel like Linsey Godfrey is killing it as Sarah opposite him. I hope they continue in this direction. I also am one of the few who loves John Paul Lavoisier as Phillip and I hope they keep him around in a regular capacity.

The John stuff was very sad to watch. On one hand you think it's typical Days but knowing that Drake is gone and seeing the actors pain felt so real. I'm glad they're doing him justice. The flashbacks were perfectly placed and each character was given a moment to reflect on their relationship with John. I can't wait to see how this develops.

Even when they mentioned the possession, it was still heaped in emotional truth, which I was relieved by. I also meant to state, I'm loving the classic soap opera direction the show has employed in a couple scenes lately. The first I noticed it was when Sarah was in the doorway talking to Xander, and again in the chapel scenes. The perfect blend of dark and light to make the scene feel correctly atmospheric.

Same here.

I wasn't the biggest fan of him (or those faces he'd make) when he first came back lol but he's grown on me. And, since the new writers came in, I feel like there's been a lot more depth and maturity in his character.

Did David Kreizman write today's script?

Who directed?

Thanks!

Yes Kreizman wrote the script and Noel Maxam directed.
