LOL that Kandi gif is perfect here.

I love Kat and Chelsea's relationship.

So clearly Dani has two huge holes in her life - her husband and her old successful modeling career, and now she feels like she has nothing.  The drinking will make her hit rock bottom and hopefully we see her rise above.  Curious to see how the Nicole/Dani conversation goes tomorrow.

What I think is going to work IN FAVOR for the character of Dani... is that we've already seen her in such despicable conditions, acting a fool and humiliating herself... than ANYTHING above that... will be seen as improvement and some fans will assume she has changed. Then I expect we will have spiraling down again periods. It's just going to be that type of character. For now. Karla is well equipped to play it. Even sometimes deliberately slipping into pure camp Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford territory. She is memorable and that is important for a soap opera. In a way she is like a Scarecrow character, a circus clown that attracts looks and attention to the screen.

I also think Karla is capable of more nuance and I expect that in couple of months I may be Dani's biggest fan. It's just a matter of how she's written. But for now... it's mess and circus.

If you have questions for Timon Kyle Durrett (Bill Hamilton), please send me an email at [email protected] or send me a private message/direct message here on the SON Community.

I'll be speaking with him tomorrow about his role on Beyond the Gates.

OMG.... I am going to have to think really hard what exactly to ask him. Thank you for this opportunity. He's one of my faves. I'm so excited right now! OMG.

Putting in my prediction that Hayley slept with Mike to get that promotion. She seemed to gung ho to testify in his favor. Although she clearly was not pleased with Bill's hysterical women comment so that prediction could be wrong.

I love the way -- although a little of the acting has been over the top -- the storylines are grounded and believable.  MVJ has created a 2025 version of a mid-1970s soap opera. And I mean that as a compliment. BTG is both old fashioned and 100% up to date.  I sincerely hope the ratings remain high, because BTG is making me proud to be a soap fan again. Our wonderful show-runner does not write down to her audience.  MVJ does not think we are stupid. It's easy to see, she respects the genre and she respects the audience.

I agree! She and her team took what worked in the 1970's, and adapted it into 2025 and it works so well.

You're not alone. When the lawsuit storyline started and the one girl mentioned she lost out to Hayley, I suspected the same. Well, put out into the story universe.

Mmmmm Jacob.

This Bill vs Naomi confrontation is good.

See? Look at those writers giving Dani a good moment.

Oooo. Hey, Kat!

NICOLE!!!! And in red, too.

Awww now that the first leg of the Chelesa/Kat business is done, I wonder what direction it will go in.

'And when you told that bitca to go straight to hell?' HAHAHAHA. NAOMI!!! You know Jacob is too much of a good guy cop for that.

We haven't seen Andre this week, have we?

Not Bill beaming with pride at Naomi's skills even though she's suing him.

It looks as though the writers/breakdown writers have worked out the first week kinks and are now writing some good breakdowns/scripts.

3 out of 3 good episodes.

Thoughts on todays episode:

Good Chelsea/Dani 1:1.

People have said that Dani is the modern day Erica Kane or Reva Shayne, but I disagree.  When watching these early weeks of Dani in action, she is the modern day version of Teddy Reed from Sisters (NBC primetime series/soap from the 90s).  And it was good that Nicole came to check on her at the end.

Bill vs Naomi was a good first round and I think it was a draw.   Bill was both proud and a bit concerned when interacting with Naomi.. and Naomi really does deep down want her dad's approval.  This will be a good storyline in the coming weeks.

Hayley spoke facts with her comments to Bill, and there is an old saying that women understand other women and usually end up not liking them LOL   Good cliffhanger with the promise of the long awaited scene between Hayley and Naomi... plus, some nice chemistry between Jacob and Hayley as well.

I had a feeling that Martin's behind the scenes sabotaging of Smitty's potential new job would come back to haunt him.  I actually said out loud 'Oh [!@#$%^&*]' when the cat was out of the bag.

Chelsea declaring the end of her working relationship with Dani will now open both Chelsea and Dani up to their next arcs.  I wonder if those brief snippets of Chelsea with the couple will come back up in the coming weeks.

Good Kat/Tomas scene today as well.   I think the Virgin talk is admirable in 2025 since vanilla/virgin shaming has become the norm nowadays even though there are articles coming out that Gen Z (which Kat is part of) are moving more conservative in terms of dating and sex.   I'm sure Eva will be there to tide Tomas over while Kat waits.

I can't wait for tomorrow :)
