Members Soaplovers Posted March 5 Members Share Posted March 5 Jasmen Darnell Brown wrote a great episode today and it was a nice relaxing day off from the ongoing dramatics of Dani (absence makes the heart grow fonder). Today we finally got some focus on Nicole and her family dynamics. Nicole is a warm and personable person, a perfect character to come into the matriarch position down the road if the show lasts many years. Kat turning out to be an unexpected foil for Eva/'Leslie' was a nice surprise... and I want to see more of her dynamic with Nicole since it appears as though Nicole relates more to Martin then she does with Kat. I also enjoyed getting to see more of Smitty, and I like the arc of him being an unfilled stay at home parent and wanting to dip his toe back into the workforce... and Nicole encouraging him was a nice touch. It probably stems from her watching Dani put her dreams aside for her marriage. Nice to see a bit more of Vanessa/Doug's rapport.. and it look as though his gambling addiction will bring about some unsavory characters. I have a feeling Vanessa will probably be losing some money down the line. Though her going gun ho over Diego at the club was a ballsy move since people do talk. Lastly, I enjoyed the breakfast scene with the three women gossiping and having fun like friends do. Members Cheap21 Posted March 6 Members Share Posted March 6 My theory on Eva. They mentioned that she's a hair stylist and that has to be bc she will be doing someone's hair. My guess is that Chelsea will have an important shoot and for whatever reason her hair stylist cant make it and Eva will step in to save the day. That will make Chelsea love her which will make Kat jealous as she doesnt want her to get close to any of her family Same. Members Chris B Posted March 6 Members Share Posted March 6 She does look gorgeous on her IG! The one thing I'd like them to work on is her makeup. I feel like her foundation doesn't quite match and she looks a little grey on screen compared to how she looks on her social media. I just finished today's episode and watching it on my big screen I couldn't get it off my mind once I noticed it. Overall I thought this was a great episode and the highlight of the week for me. I was beginning to get burnt out on the Dani/Bill storyline and was starting to get curious about some of the other characters. There's been a lack of focus on Nicole's family and we know there is stuff simmering there so it was nice to get to see more of her, particularly with Smitty and Martin. Now that they've established things I'd like them to give more focus to this branch of the Dupree family. Silk Press Sheila continues to give me life and if she said she didn't do it, she didn't do it! Don't tell me what my eyes saw, my queen is so convincing and she is a good honorable woman. I hope Eva listens to her Mama! I've been wanting Eva to be Ted's brothers child but seeing how good her chemistry was with Kat has me second guessing things. I'd love to see them as feuding sisters from opposite sides of the track. Whatever happens, they've definitely created a mystery that I'm invested in. It was also nice to see more of Vanessa and her husband whose name escapes me. I am not typically a fan of gambling stories but I'm willing to see where this goes. I still don't know what to think of their relationship though. I hope this isn't wrong of me to say but he doesn't seem like he's into women. Ooooh I live for her (well just about every female on this show) hair. Oooooo I love how she looks in that, too. Perhaps once he gets into a relationship, some of her sexiness will pop out more in her on-air wardrobe. But I really love what I've seen her in so far. It stands out to me in that it is completely different than the other young characters on the show which makes it stand out more. If that makes sense.
