I thought the flashback to Bill/Dani was wonderful, and just cements how much chemistry TD and KM have. The press conference goofery was very silly in how it was presented - Bill should've just held one next door or outside - but it was also typical soap, so whatever.

I may get deeper into the ep later but it was mostly fine. Except that Martin continues to deliver lines like he is teaching Grover the alphabet on Sesame Street, and Bill and Hayley's living room looks like a sorority dorm from Saved by the Bell: The College Years.

At least Ashley's apartment is supposed to be mid range rental whereas Bill/Hayley's is supposed to be high end luxury.

Thinking about the various occupations of characters and how it fits into the storytelling.

I assume Vernon/Anita are retired and living off investments so they are able to be at home mostly.

We've seen that Nicole works from home? Is she going to be shown at work with clients?

Ted has an office at the hospital, right?

Bill's office has been shown and Hayley and the Tomas work there.

Dani is a momager and her daughter a model so they can be at home or on shoots.

Ashley is at the hospital and Derek is supporting so doesn't need to be seen at work. Andre a photographer. Was that his studio where Dani/Andre got it on?

Naomi is a lawyer and her husband a cop but we've yet to see them at work.

What about Martin? He should have an office and staff.

Does Kat have a job?

She's been shown at the office a lot, I feel, with her assistants (including poor Laura). I don't think we've seen her with a patient yet though. We have seen Ted at the hospital.

They keep talking up Jacob's new partner, an venerated homicide detective with a fearsome reputation, so I expect we'll see him soon.

The dialogue said that Nicole does both philanthropy and psychiatry.
I think Nicole's home office and personal assistants are for her philanthropic work.
I don't think we know yet where her psychiatry practice is located - at home or elsewhere?

Ted is a plastic surgeon who can work at the hospital but he also has a high-end private practice in a building/property which has nice grounds. That came up when they were deciding where Andre would shoot the video of Nicole and Ted.

Edit yes, Ted was Laura's doctor at the hospital - after Leslie ran her off the road.  I don't know if he was just working as a regular Emergency Room doctor that day or what?  There was some dialogue about Nicole arranging to pay for Laura to recover at a private clinic somewhere.

Andre is independently wealthy, inheritance from his late parents.  He travels the world doing photography.  I got the impression he doesn't live anywhere fixed, and is just visiting Fairmont Crest right now -- but might decide to stick around.  (and obviously will stick around since he's contract cast).

Edit, I do think we saw Nicole's psychiatry office because there were framed degrees on the wall.

We have actually seen two of Nicole's offices. One at the hospital and one at home.

I have been keeping track of the storied 27 sets and unless I'm mistaken, we have seen just over half of them:

1. Dupree home
2. Dani’s living/kitchen
3. Dani’s bedroom
4. Ashley’s studio
5. Leslie’s home
6. Naomi and Jacob’s bedroom
7. Martin and Smitty’s home
8. Bill and Hayley’s home
9. Fairmont Crest Country Club
10. Orphey Gene’s
11. Uptown
12. Garland Memorial Hospital
13. Nicole’s home office
14. Bill’s law office
15. Richardson living room

In an upcoming episode we will see

    • Daytime belonged to CBS. They would have been making a lot of $$$ with that lineup. For context, this is the lineup at that time. Only one soap on ABC (GH) and NBC (TD) which was still an anthology at that point. So it wasn't until the opposition added more soaps that they became competitive. NBC CBS ABC 10:00am Say When! • Per recent Twitch live: Wraps filming his new film on Friday. Begins a new film on May 19. Will resume regular Twitch streams soon. Has a lot of projects coming out later this year. His current project has kept him in Tennessee longer than he was meant to be.
    • Has BTG been using flashbacks much? Of course, as a new show there aren't many f/b worthy moments but I think they can get by w/o having to use/recreate the Leslie reveal scene. What other 'soap' tropes have they employed or ignored so far? We've talked about the lack of traditional cliffhangers with lingering camera shots. They have done a couple of fantasy scenes. Has anyone apart from Dana had talk to themselves scenes? Montages?
    • Thank You!!! @rsclassicfanforever and to anyone else who contributed to the vaults over the years. I have dipped in/out and gotten my life watching Y&R early years. I never would had the appreciation for characters like Lorie Brooks if not for the Vaults, so again, Thanks.
    • Another lot of skipped episodes to look forward to when the time comes on Videoland. So annoying. They have skipped so many, especially in  season 15 where they skipped 19 episodes throughout the season. Is it just me or is the vault down? It's like a different error message this time so it's hard to know if it's me this time.
    • thank you for uploading the rest of season 12!!! I hope i can get them soon the links down! Thank you again for posting the B&B classic episodes to revisit!!!!
    • Hmm, okay.  BTW, my only problem with Kai & the surgery story is where is this guy's family? And, another BTW, I think I may have inadvertently added to that rumor from last year about a male descendant of Justus Ward. You see, that is an idea I could really get behind! Like I would pay to see those scenes. And, true, I did hear it ... [sheepish grin]

Yes they can. While rare, its not like soaps in the past havent said F that and used flashbacks of a scene even when a recast has been done. OLTL used to do that
    • Well, I am glad to know that & for it to make sense, so thanks for the info &  the perspective, also. At the end of AMC 1.0, I thought the new young talent was really quite good, but I missed Eden & NuBianca just ... well, I wasn't 100% sold on her & Bianca was so important to me. But then, Tad & Dixie were also important & yep, there's another problem, for me I mean. I'm not your typical AMC fan but I hung in there anyway. I know what you mean because it wasn't as good as it once had been but it was still Agnes's show in Pine Valley. Some of that is a bittersweet nostalgic clinging to the past, I guess. By that time I'd been through so many show cancellations. AW, Santa Barbara, PC, The City, GL, ATWT.

Betsy Snyder, when she was at DAYS was part of the WGA winning writing team before she died, tragically far too young.
