GH: March 2025 Discussion Thread

He was the runner up on the Golden Bachelorette. The Golden Bachelor was a hit (although that was also during the strike), so I guess it shows some support ABC still has for GH to have the current one appear, but I agree it's a huge waste of talent. Why this regime doesn't want to use Cynthia Watros I don't know.

(I do think they use Maura, somewhat - it's just nothing with that character ever really makes a lot of sense)

Interestingly he had actually jokingly asked a Bachelor producer about being on GH, because he used to watch in college. And then a few weeks later Valentini and Dominic Nuzzi got in touch.

At least he does seem to have some respect for the show, I guess.

Thanks!  I assumed it was someone vaguely "famous".  I don't watch the Bachelor at all.  I wonder if anyone would actually tune in just to see someone that lost a reality show though lol.

I have long said Nina was useless, but I did like her during PM's brief tenure and the Drew/Nina affair.  I would honestly just have Nina go crazy and leave at this point.  Get CW some emmy worthy material and just drop the character.

There's that whole Bachelor ecosystem, they go on all the reality shows (even ones not run by ABC/Disney), but I don't know either.

Mulcahey did work hard to make Nina a more vital player. It's a shame. I agree they may as well write her out at this point if this is the best they can do.

I would also write her out. I like Watros and I've enjoyed her Nina this past year but she doesn't need to be here another five years, even if PM was still here.

I feel like Nina was pretty vital when she was paired with Sonny too.  I disliked the pairing, although I really think it had some fans and it was completely dropped.  I know people will come for me, but I do think Ava/Nina tend to cancel one another out and there isn't enough material for the both of them.

Fine by me!

And he was absolutely terrible. That's one of the worst cameos I've seen in forever, and my mouth was open at how awful all of it was.

Why not give work to a REAL actor instead of doing this -- something that adds nothing to the show? This kind of bad stunt casting adds no viewers. All it does it make me stare at the screen and wonder how this ever made it to air.

The guy gave line readings that could not have been worse while having a fakeass smile plastered to his face.

Sorry, that was horrific and embarrassing.

Yeah... the Golden Bachelor was pointless and unnecessary. And the same can be said for the whole Quartermaine crypt thing.

Luckily, Chase and Dante made today worth watching

And so were the Lucky/Liz/Aiden scenes. We really need more of those because the three of them work really well together as a family. Hopefully, Lucky and Liz will get to have a romantic night together soon. Too bad we won't get to see Aiden's sleepover though

Having Aiden walk through the room and out the front door just isn't enough, though. GH has yet to make Aiden a real character. It's a missed opportunity.

I also think it's a miss to have Laura interrupt Liz and Lucky. We've seen that happen so many times before , and I think it's a soap cliche that's tired. I think we've waited long enough.

Carly defending Quartermaines. What a time to be alive. Willow is so dickmatized she legit doesn’t care about anything Drew does, doesn’t care what’s written, she’s completely ride or die. I have to wonder if she’ll even care that he banged her mom a year ago.

God I love Ric’s disdain for Kristina.

Sign me up for Carly and Nina scheming.

    • "On a shallow note" Martin gets all the booty from his Daddy, Ted is just as stacked as his son, LOL! I had to say it.
    • Lol! If Kat is going to do one thing, it's going to be give shade.   And of course, the Duprees would get into formation and team up. Sadly, I don't think they have anything on Silk Press Sheila.    Poor Nicole.   But loving it. I know I'm invested besides I'm seriously side-eying Vanessa/Doug cuz I want to get to the meat. And I love that every single beat is getting played.    Oooo Nosy Nurse!!!   OOOOHHHH so Silk Press Sheila and Nicole were preggers at the same time. And HA!!! The lawyer WAS Bill!  The acting is superb. Silk Press Sheila even toyed with Martin a little bit.   Ooooomg! Eva revealed.   Wait! Is it food posioning for Vanessa or is she with child?
    • Well, if you add that one caveat, oddly, it disqualifies Renee. Because she is one person who was both the planner (if you will) and also the "evil" revealer. Weird but that is THE difference.  And it's the only difference. But, sure, I think those words make it unique. THE REVEALER CONVINCES HER TARGET TO HOST THE EVENT. Right?  Well, if we nitpick The Revealer used her secret agent to convince their target to do this shindig. Yes. That's it. Because Leslie/Sheila/Sherry/Dana/Leslie/Mom didn't do it by herself. She HAD to have Eva doing her part.  Okay, run with that.  And, why not discuss it here? It's topical.
    • Hahaha!!! Not Naomi being sure Chelesa ain't filming this time!!!   At last! Kat is proven right!!!   And hey, Nicole's Doctor friend, hey!!!   So far...this is giving.
    • Leslie having the nerve to show up at the Dupree House was pure insanity. Bill being revealed to be more ruthless than anyone would have thought was a good development. I have to imagine that will change Dani's view of wanting him back. The whole reveal was well done and Trisha Mann-Grant owned those scenes. That was most definitely material for an Emmy submission reel.
    • I agree, all the Guys Tux were nice. I like how they differ from each other and all stylish in a way. Awe, same. Can not believe I actually have enjoying a current daytime soap. Rewatching these episodes over the weekend as a jump back into Ryan's Hope and Santa Barbara. Agreed! Exciting times.

And it was pretty dope we didn't know that tidbit before the reveal.
    • yes I thought of the Renee party... But this is different because I'm talking specifically about the revealer convincing someone else to throw the party.  And the someone else complies, having no idea what the revealer plans. I'm wondering if Michele Val Jean did a first with BTG in 2025. But the BTG thread is already so busy -- that I thought it important to *NOT* clog it up with discussing this, so I brought the question here instead. That way, if other reveals come up in conversation, it's not a problem on this "general retro soap" thread.
    • Well, good that they showed Vanessa though I wish she was there.   Lol. And here comes Naomi. AND an explanation from Jacob.

She is diabolical! Remember in this scene she offered Martin a brownie which seemed so random? In this episode its revealed that when he was a kid, Ted used to bring him to a restaurant where the waitress would give him brownies....that waitress was Leslie. She was playing games and trying to jog his childhood memory
