Especially in this day and age where there's so much to watch, I think they needed to come right out of the gate like it was sweeps month.

Which, in fact, it was.

Feb. sweeps ended last night. And, may I say Happy End of Sweeps to all who celebrate. Meanwhile, who won this Sweeps?

If anyone cares the actor who uttered the very first words on BTG was Shaun Mixon as FC staffer Calvin.

First lines, Episode 4:
Diego Sanchez: "Absolutely, just let me know a good day and time for you."
Tom Navarro: "I'm sure I don't have to tell you what a lucky man you are."
Mike Davis: "No kidding! Hayley's one hell of a catch."
Mystery Man: "Are you alone?" (This is character named in today's long credits but I won't spoil here)

Today was Anthony Pascarelli's first directed episode and I thought it was just as good as the previous three.

I care. You can count on it.

Those long credits. WOW. 🥹🫨😯😲💯🏆🥇They went on & on!

Well Contessa, at least on this thread -- Beyond the Gates won the February sweeps!!

Nancy Hughes, Bert Bauer, Mary Matthews, and Nancy Karr are smiling down on us. The P&G soap goddesses are happy.  No doubt about that.  P&G is back in the soap opera business.

I never rewatch soaps but I have gone out of my way to watch the show while I’m working live and then rewatch in the evening with the boo without work to distract me. He’s only watched bits and pieces of Soaps from when I’ve had them on but he was actually interested in starting this show from the beginning with me so I’ve loved that. And like you I pick up on things I missed the first time around.

You said you never did it & then you turned around & described how you did it. You are a contradiction of terms.

But, don't feel bad, at least it's not an oxymoron. Dodged that bullet.

And, I've told MVJ that her first mentor & employer, Jeri Taylor, RIP, is looking down on her & is about to bust open with pride for her.

Donna,

This is why I wrote the shutdown post. If you see something that requires you to respond to someone like this, don't even bother responding. I don't want to see this on the board! I'm sick of the animosity people create just because of the way they speak, whether intended or not.

I want to apologize to you in case I offended you. I was just joking, teasing you, just playing. It's funny. Just last week I said that I never did a thing & someone, also joking, pointed out to me that I had just done it. We both laughed about it.

You're the boss. I hear & understand you.

Dani was actually pleasant today and all it took was for her to get some dack...LOL

Ashley broke all types of HIPAA laws. How dare she talk about Laura's personal medical business to people outside of the hospital.

Silkpress Sheila wasted NO time suggesting her daughter for the job of the girl she tried to kill last niight

LOL I thought the same exact thing about Ashley too! 😂

Seeing Andre with Dani surprised me but I really it enjoyed it.

Silkpress Sheila? LOL. It was a great scene though.

I’m excited for tomorrow as not only will it be the show’s first cliffhanger Friday, but also the first episode I get to watch in real live time.

I think mandate is majority are Atlanta based

I think either Anita or Vernon have another child, maybe a son

Vernon definittely has a son. The Duprees are touted as the main family but the name dies with Dani. There has to be a son out there to carry it on

Outside child of an affair?

If there is an illegitimate child in the offing it would be good if Vernon knew about him all along , rather than the usual soap plot of discovering him as an adult.

Maybe Anita could know as well and kept the secret. Real Mom could be in on it as well. And hell, why not have the son be aware also.
