Lord. It's also untrue - Steve has cried plenty as Jason, both in the early years and in the last year since coming back he's been considerably more emotionally engaged.

I will agree to that.

According to the preview for the February 21, 2025 episode of GH, Jonathan Jackson is back as Lucky.

(And to be clear I'd dump him too - Chase is boring.)

That goes without saying.

Frankly, I'm pissed that Cyrus is dead (for now).  He didn't kill off nearly enough people.

Really been enjoying this week of the show. Lots of things happening every day to hook me for the next. Hopefully it lasts.

I think some are expecting BTG to be the savior for daytime soaps. That is a lot of pressure

As I said on socials

I feel like some of the ideas of GH being terrified are inadvertently setting BtG up for a fall. I am reminded of a few years ago when Neighbours was revived and some Home & Away fans who were sick of the show were saying Neighbours was going to hurt it and Home & Away should be scared, etc. (it made no sense as they weren't even in competing timeslots) And look where we are today.

GH has many problems and has for a long time. ABC had the opportunity to step in and backed down, probably in part because viewers seemingly rejected the attempts at change. So now we're stuck here, and likely will be for the rest of GH's lifespan.

Bringing in Mulcahey.

I don't have any recollection of that coming from above. What I recall is that it was Korte who wanted them to try to get him.

RIH, Cyrus 🖕🖕

We definitely won’t be missing your annoying ass anytime soon. Finally, we’re rid of the whiniest bitch of a villain that I’ve ever seen!

But as glad as I am that Cyrus is dead, I would much rather someone like Alexis, or Danny or even Laura, had been the one to finally kill him, rather than Dex’s personal prostitute. I feel the character who had been on for over 20 years deserved that justice a lot more than the character, with no identity, that had been on for only 2 years

And considering the way today ended, I imagine that by this time next year, Dex will be completely forgotten about and Joss will be someone else’s personal prostitute, Carly be damned.

Speaking of Laura, those scenes between her, Anna and Jordan were pitiful. All the talking that Anna did about the credibility of the PCPD and then she goes and has a conversation like that? In what jurisdiction would a mayor, deputy mayor and police commissioner be more concerned about a Congressman and his annoying bald friend rather than a mob kingpin? I know people in Congress are trash, in general, but come on 😂😂😂

And with all this talk about the Esplanade, hopefully it ends with people being shot, killed off or the Esplanade getting blown sky high.

As for Chase and Brook Lynn… God, Josh Swickard is so hot 😍😍😂😂😂

Again, I understand Amanda Setton’s POV. And it is a nice thing for Josh Swickard to do for his co-star. But yeah, this isn’t the right medium for her. Maybe it’s time to give ChaLynn a happily ever after and a miracle baby, once the secret about Gio comes out.

I think it's undeniable GH is going to be tough competition. They are timeslot competitors and it has a very loyal audience which is trained to watch almost anything. But I think GH is so somnambulant at this point that BTG may indeed be a contender.

I don't support soap operas that are bad. This isn't a pep rally.

I love GH and have watched it most of my life. I also think GH is mostly bad these days and a great deal of the cast should be cut, along with the creative regime. These people aren't my friends IRL and I don't know them. They're not owed lifetime jobs. If you want to know why people are supporting BTG, it's because they're tired of the same old grinding mediocrity (as well as self-evident racism) and are very hopeful for something better. And if it came down to one show I'd watch at 2 PM, it would absolutely be BTG first.

Just because I grew up watching this show does not mean I am obligated to always support it blindly, and don't think massive changes need to be made.

Despite being mostly terrible at present I am sure GH will be tough competition for BTG. So am I rooting for it to fail against BTG? Absolutely. The only way GH can get better is to take real losses.

First part the same!

The 2nd part given how bad GH's ratings/demos are, I think they've got true competition on their hands

Though to be fair, in this situation the "annoying bald friend" is basically a warlord who tried to kill the police commissioner, the deputy mayor's new love interest, and the mayor's son. It's a case of better the devil you know.

And kidnapped Sasha.
