Some put that out there online. And all I can say is...it would fit.

Then again, Cyrus going after him could be the way for everyone to figure out that he did in Dex and Sam. So *shrugs*

Well, they knew a good thing and used it along with the whole cast.

A certain EP could take notes...

YW. If it does like it usually does...we should have a great January, February, and March period at least. It was usually mid-March, April...when someone's BTS hands got exposed.

I think people might enjoy this version of Drew more if they thought the show was intending for him to be that way.

Chase isn't anything that great, but he's easy on the eyes, pleasant and likeable enough, and isn't as tainted as some other men on the show. I think the show needs some supporting nice guys, similar to Joe Kelly long ago. I might break him and Brooklyn up but keep him around, maybe pair him with Sasha again if she is staying. If he ends up raising Sasha's baby with her that would just enrage Brooklyn all the more.

Getting caught up on the week. The fire sequence was extremely well done. GH still does stunts better than all of the other current soaps.

My god are Willow and Drew disgusting. Somehow cheating on your husband with his Uncle and then leaving the state with your child to be with your lover, makes you the victim? I need Nina or Curtis to blow this [!@#$%^&*] up ASAP.

LW despite being the longest Carly, is still not my Carly but she kills it in Mama Bear mode and I’m ready for her to go scorched earth on Willow and Drew.

I agree. If this was about Drew staying around, I think the majority love him as a slimy cad versus what he was since CM came on. He gives us a villain to root against. But it does seem paint-by-numbers at the least and writing him into a corner at the worst.

And I also agree that all soaps need a good guy or two for counterpoint. I say that about Chance on Y&R (and Paul before him) all the time. I do love that we have a team of good guys here. I just wish that the writing would let them be as good as the mob, but alas.

There's NOTHING like Carly on the loose.

It would be just like GH to off (another) long-term character to keep on a villain who should have been gone years ago.

-- Whoever is choosing Diane's wigs needs to give up that job.

-- Maurice Benard's still acting like he's in some really bad mafia movie.

-- Nina's apartment continues to underwhelm. Too large, too sterile, too monochromatic. None of it looks real, especially that...image...through the window of the building across the street. Must've come from that Y&R greenscreen bag of tricks.

@Vee I'm glad your place is OK for now - hope you and your loved ones are well.

What you say about how ossified Frank's worldview is and how he's just got nothing left to offer with such heavy power feels right. It makes me think of Lorne Michaels and SNL - we hear all the time about how he is very hands on and on the ball, yet the show has become more and more hollowed out, clearly lacking in inspiration or care.

Yeah… the irony of the most selfish whore in Port Charles attacking Willow for being selfish and whorey is not lost on me

And once again proves that she is the polar opposite of Laura Wright, who absolutely killed it today. Her range, as an actress, really is amazing. Even when Carly’s awful, she can play it in a way that makes you not hate her

I was really hoping that Drew was gonna get hit today, especially in that last scene. But as much as I’m not liking him at the moment, he’s not wrong.

And I really, really hope that Jason’s scenes lead to a big storyline for him, where he finally decides to get out of the mob. As unlikely as it is, it would be a nice change and reset for the show and the character.

Drew and Willow continue to be the trashiest of trash. I was so glad Joss didn’t let Willow try to get off because Joss cheated on Cameron.

Drew even being at the hospital when everyone knows he banged his wife? And then trying to throw Pentonville in Carly’s face to what? Show at one time he was good? Give me a break. I need Drew to lean into the sleaze. Not this victim act even though he shows zero remorse. Carly read the hell out of Drew and I was here for it.

I will say this is Carly’s karma for willingly choosing to be a mob apologist for most of her adult life. But she should’ve slapped the [!@#$%^&*] out of Drew.

I would love for this to be wake-up call Jason needs to get out of the mob.

They’re just going to keep throwing tragedies at Kristina to force Molly to forgive her over and over again for being an awful sister. I’m over it.

I wonder if Steve would be willing to move Jason away from the mob.

This is one of those moments where you should be on Joss' side, hypocrisy or not, but she's just not likeable or sympathetic. They have the same problem with Kristina. They have a lot of alarm bells ringing with their younger female cast. I think that is one of the reasons a character like Sasha does have some fans is that in spite of so much depressing and poor material she is at least likeable.

When they brought Lucas back, I didn't feel his connections to the Spencers were enough to justify his presence. I still feel that way, but I am glad they did use his connections to Michael for some emotional impact today. As has been said, Van Hansis is very hammy, but when contrasted to Maurice Benard's hair dye having more of a presence than he did, I'll take it.

    • Quick question - did Christie and Leann share any scenes together in the '80s before Leann left the show?
    • This is the perfect way to encapsulate the situation. So many morally-reprehensible stories were foisted on the show and its characters in ATWT's dwindling years. Rape should never be used as a cheap plot device or in a way that degrades the victim. Jack's sexual assault was another heinous example of how nasty the the show's tone had become. The fact that people like Hogan Sheffer, Ron Carlivati, Jean Passanante, Charles Pratt, Dena Higley, etc., somehow end up winning awards for their material, decimates the credibility and integrity of the awards, IMHO. Soaps used to have a solid moral core and did not originally wallow in the gutter, rolling around in filth and depravity just to be cool, hip, campy, or whatever else modern-day PTB aim for. Thank you. Cruelty, degradation and misogyny are not components which lend themselves to successful soaps, which have always been predicated on warmth, family bonds, and providing a comforting haven for their audience. The genre has been crippled because the cynical and ignorant executives in charge understand neither the shows nor what the audience wants to see.
    • Beverlee was on a whole other level from Kim. It's not like they were in competition with each other. I get the feeling that Kim had a slight problem with the super-professional, serious cast members who just wanted everyone to be prepared and do the work, as she seems to like having fun on set. (She's made a few cracks about Chris Bernau being like that). Bev was definitely one of those. But they didn't work together that much. Yeah, they made her manic and also much weaker. She always had a vulnerability, but wanting to kill herself over that guy? No way. Not only that, he didn't leave her! She insisted he marry Maeve. When they did the tribute to Bert/Charita, the compilation of scenes with her showed how much the cast had been almost totally turned over in a relatively short period of time. Nearly every shot was of her by herself because most people she had worked with had been fired, left or been replaced. I assume they couldn't show her with people who hadn't been replaced, like Don Stewart, Elvera Roussel, or Robert Newman because they would have had to pay them for using their clips. It's dreadful to watch. Like she had no connection to the current show.

    • A little too much focus on Chad and Cat today but I enjoyed the episode. I have a feeling that Jennifer’s gonna get dumped on though, even though I think that her anger is completely understandable and justified. And honestly, Ron is finally gone; Abigail can come back now.  But, welcome back, Anna! It was nice seeing Carrie have scenes with her mother. Christie Clark and Leann Hunley have never really had that many scenes together and to see them have them now is really nice. I’m glad that both of them were there to comfort Marlena too. Their words were definitely the thing that Marlena needed to hear. Btw, with all this talk of Noah, does it mean that he’s gonna be introduced soon? Amy, revealing that John changed her flat tire many years ago seemed a little random though. I would rather she have said something about how everybody in Salem knows of John Black because of how he was always such a hero. But at the same time, her story also showed what a great guy John was.  I liked Kate’s scenes with Philip too, and her promise to get back at Xander for what he did. And since we didn’t see JPL in the bed, did he need some time off or something? And yeah, everything involving ‘One Stormy Night’ still seems very Ron-like to me.
    • The second photo featuring the late John Spencer is from the Law & Order episode, "Prescription For Death", which was the (second) pilot/first episode all the way back in 1990! He played the father of a daughter that had gone to the ER for a mere sore throat but ended up dead because the doctor on call was drunk and had given her medication that she had an adverse reaction to, after receiving some other medication. So, he will always have that great distinction in addition to The West Wing. (The first pilot, "Everybody's Favorite Bagman", was filmed in 1988! The show was offered to CBS, but they passed. In syndication, it is oddly placed as the sixth episode of Season 1. And Roy Thinnes played DA Alfred Wentworth there. When NBC picked up the show two years later, Thinnes declined to return, and that's how we got Steven Hill's DA Adam Schiff.)
    • exactly. I can understand schadenfreude if it were real, but a lot of this is just an engineered distraction.
    • Days of our Lives S60E204 – Thursday, June 5, 2025 Okay, today’s episode was kind of boring. It was nice seeing Jack and Jen back, but they wasted an entire episode on Jen chatting with Julie - one scene would’ve been enough. Also, why didn’t Jack and Jen go comfort Marlena? And wouldn’t a flashback with Jack, Jen, and John have been great? Maybe something from the Cruise of Deception era? Bottom line - it feels like once John’s memorial is over and the returning fan favorites leave Salem… the show’s going to be dull again.
