I think Ava was going to go to Valentin after puzzling out that he screwed with Sonny's meds (her discovery of which was done very clumsily, I agree) and they were going to collude for awhile. But who knows.

I admittedly had GH on in the background yesterday while doing something else but I am confused as to why Sonny needs to leave the business now.   One Dr. told him his heart was bad at the Gym.  I know most people want Sonny to croak here, but shouldn't he go to the hospital and get some tests done, some medicine, a second opinion before just handing the business over?  There have been about a million other better reasons for Sonny to leave the mob and he didn't so I am a bit confused at his line of thinking here.

And so you should be, confused I mean. Here they go with this kind of odd story-telling. I swear that at moments like this I think it is entirely possible that Korte & Chris Van Etten & also Frankie have collectively lost their everloving minds. Isiah even told Sonny to go have an appt specifically with a cardiologist. Then, Jason told him the same thing. He seemed to indicate that in his position as head of the mob he cannot afford to show any weakness. I'm pretty sure that for example Tony Soprano would have definitely seen a cardiologist. IMO other mob bosses wouldn't be stupid and short-sighted. But, I guess we're supposed to think it's okay for Sonny to be different.

If I recall and I was half-watching ('cause the episode was boring as ever-loving fück), he couldn't go to the hospital, because it'd show as a sign of weakness/instability within his organization towards his adversaries (Selina Wu?). Hate that Isaiah is getting wrapped into Sonny's web of bullshït already; I'd prefer he not be tainted by the mobster.

Yeah, that's flimsy af.  The man's been shot a million times, was paralyzed, presumed dead more than once, and has a long history of mental illness, but he's weak and unstable now because he might have to take some pills for his heart and quit drinking so much lol?

And, Isaiah mentioned afib, which is a heart arrhythmia, which is your heart racing instead of the steady beat it needs to be doing. Not a big deal as long as you get tested for it, confirmed that you have it & you take a pill for it, not even a hard to swallow pill, but an easy one & you see that doc 4 times a year. It takes them maybe 15 minutes to do a new EKG. Did you happen to notice the stricken look on Sonny's face? I suspect he is terrified. So, naturally being Sonny he jumps to this huge unwarranted conclusion that Jason has to take over. I am just so over this guy. And, I just know that next week he is gonna try to get Carly to make Jason do what he wants.

I was proud of Jason, though. He's right. He's Danny's only parent. And, also I do not think Carly is gonna truck with him over this at all.

Alright but you said it was NOT about leaving but fear of reprisals. Now, yes, thanks for addressing reprisals but you've added leaving back in. I'm just gonna have to insist you make up your mind!

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
