Finn, Carter, and Zende are all that’s left of its Millennial male contingent, yet those three are barely characters at this point. A Thomas recast feels inevitable in the coming months. But MA was pretty good in the role considering. There's a lot of WTF with casting and dropped storylines on this show. But, it's been that way for about 25 years, so... I would LOVE to see what a fresh, new head writer could bring to the show, but that ain't happening...ever. We still need some "have nots" on the show clawing their way up. My favorite line is this…. 'We are excited," Bell enthuses. "This many years into it, we are as pumped up as we've ever been. It's just a wonderful team here and I see us as a little half-hour engine that could.
