Yes, that's when I was thinking of & I could accept that. She even had some interesting things about her.

I was just lucky to see one of those newer times. I couldn't abide two people her & Tucker. Basically I am not suited to what JG is writing. It's too bad, too.

Oh, okay, thanks for that info. Couldn't be helped. Sometimes I do not read all of the spoiling stuff.

It's like Ron literally pulled a name out of a hat for any 80's character and was like "SEE I RESPECT HISTORY!!!" and not a single person on staff did more than read the character's (brief) wiki page lol.

Since Genie appears to have no love for Diana or Days I have a hard time imagining she'd do anything lol.  I'd be interested to see Genie play a woman scorned with an agenda though..But to be fair, Roman/John didn't actually do anything wrong to her lol.  She left him.

I think, if someone came to her with a clear intention for Diana (or a new character), she would be open to it. But she seems firmly in-place at General Hospital. Remember: she made it known she just did not want to play the ingénue anymore, and in result: Maria Arena and her team presented the ill-fated role of Genevieve Atkinson to her on The Young and the Restless.

Today's episode was like night and day compared to yesterday's. Personally, I have no problem with potential Chad/Cat or JJ/Gabi pairings. The only reason I dislike the way Stefan left is because I never cared for the character and don't ever want him to return. At some point, I'd have Gabi learn Stefan died trying to escape and get back to her, causing her to push JJ away ... and into the arms of another woman.

Everything with Hope in this episode was top tier. Very happy TBTB didn't kill off Charles and that Doug is actually Doug's grandson. The Hortons should be a messy family like they originally were. It'll be interesting to see him interacting with more of the cast.

Very curious/invested to see how the Cat story ends this week. Considering they cast a newcomer has her mother, I don't Catherina is long for this world.

Old Cat? Cat Mom? Mrs. Cat?  is very lovely, but looks far too young to be the mother of those four kids.

Also, there's no amount of exposition that will make me afraid of Clyde.  He looks old and frail.  He is usually caught and quickly jailed.  And he doesn't convincingly play menacing.

Of course, Harris is now in the ISA.  Again, Lani, the daughter of one of the richest women in Salem, shot a man in self-defense and now has to work in daycare.  Meanwhile, Harris is guilty of treason, and at the very least is easily susceptible to brainwashing, but he's been given a promotion.

Yeah.

The lack of care was obvious too. Which is why I’m glad that they seemed to get all the facts correct about Steve Olson and the diamonds. And Dougie/Charles LeClair too.

They definitely spent some time on Jason47. Or read @beebs awesome recaps from a few years ago

Let Clyde finally be dead and gone!

That was a great way to end today’s episode, even though I can’t help but think that Caterina shooting Clyde before he could tell Chad where Abigail’s body is might have been another classic Ron Carlivati “f*ck you” to the fans. And otherwise messed up the happy occasion of Clyde hopefully being killed off for good.

Seriously, I don’t want any Weston’s on Days ever again. They were alright in the beginning (under a different writer) but overall, all three of them were a cancer on this show.

Speaking of cancers on this show, poor Marlena and poor Javi and Kerry were wasted on Leo again, in another set of pointless scenes that were filled with incoherent rambling and Roger Howarth-like manic rants. I can’t believe Marlena’s only scene today was with Leo. But I did love it when both Javi and Kerry put him in his place

They were clearly meant to be the bad guys in their scenes but that’s definitely not going to work. And honestly, my hatred for the character aside, I felt that Leo was just creepy and stalkerish in those scenes today and not even like in a funny way, or at least an attempt to be funny. I’m sure that the writers were trying to build sympathy for him but that’s not the way that it all came off. Like, bro, stop harassing these people and ruining their lunch date.

Javi did look hot in the beginning though

And yes, I agree with everybody that the actor playing Caterina looks wayyyy too young to play Cat’s mother. And she looks like Lisa Kudrow

    • I have to admit I still have a nagging complaint about timelines - Why aren't we allowed to know how long Ted and Nicole have been married or how old Kat and Eva are? Or for that matter, when Anita last released an album? BTG is a new show with no SORAS or timewarping. MVJ and Guza are working from a fresh bible. There is no need to be so coy about ages and anniversaries, especially when most of the storylines are driven by past events.
    • It was an extremely rare interview even then - I was shocked when I read it (as mentioned I'd forgotten just how far in she went).  Malone was clearly hobbled by NBC and P&G, but re-using so many of his old stories and his soap bible instead of actually coming up with material suited to the characters or show did not help.
    • Seeing this trash get good ratings says nothing good about daytime audiences. It's embarrassing.
    • Cat does feel committed to being a goofball (the other term has been reconsidered in recent years).  I wonder, given her brother Aaron, if Cat was less attractive prior to the surgery?  Remember the 1973 movie The Girl Most Likely to?  My fanfic for the moment is Cat commenting on how people treat her differently now that she is gorgeous.  One assumes that pre-surgery, Cat never had two men fighting over her for a date.  So, it might be fun to see that side of the story.
    • It's probably one of the only conflicts the story will have, aside from Dante being upset with Lulu when the truth comes out. They really needed someone else who actually knows Gio is Dante and Brook Lyn's son and kept quiet.
    • So Cat wasn't a creation of Ron C.. but something that the strike writers generated? Perhaps the new writers will give her some layers and purpose on the show that doesn't revolve around Chad since isn't he on his way out next year?
    • Another good show today, but -- Why is super agent Joss holding that thumb drive in plain sight instead of stashing it in her denim shorts? Make it make sense. -- Dante going after Gio (in the previews) for Rocco's alcohol poisoning is lame and cliche, just a contrived way to drive a wedge between father and son.
    • Didn't he get all angry because the strike writers set her up to be Abigail? And he just went with the first thing that came to mind in order to prevent that?

    • That was an incredible interview.  I cannot imagine it ever happening with a performer currently on a soap.  I remember being extremely disappointed in Michael Malone.  I wish we had all of the backstage scoop on where things went wrong with him.
    • Go 'head, Brandon!! I was worried about this meltdown, but he's giving a pretty good meltdown. Knowing when to do it and just the right moment to pull back a bit.    These Kat vs Eva scenes. The best soap rivalry has the rivals have some empathy for the others though they dislike each other. And they are giving.    Yay! A brief SilkPress vs Dani moment.
