1999 opening credits style!

Jill really should be the matriarch/grande dame, it just makes sense.

EB is the real MVP and he is carrying the show on his back.

Hahahaha!!! YES!!!

I was meh over the wedding. NOW with THIS and the news in the other thread...I cannot wait for the wedding tbh. Jill laid down the law to Billy today, and I cannot wait for her to come to town to collect.

The fact that Victor in the B story has taken over the A story position that was Sharon's storyline in the span of a week says something about JG's writing. But darn it if watching Victor with the payback has not been hilarious to watch. There is so many moving pieces. But...can anyone one-up him?

Have they explained why Chance is investigating Heather's death, when he is no longer a cop?

If I recall, he re-joined the force.

He did. FINALLY. Not only did the show make a big deal of it...so did I. lol.

All soaps need that big hero type...usually a cop. And for this show...Chance is it. And given his general personality, he was so misplaced over at Chancellor.

JG's business stories are so dry. It's literally "I'm going to business the best business that ever businessed while I buisiness someone else's business" day after day. I have no emotional attachment to Chancellor-Winters-Abbott, Glissade, Jabot, Newman Media, or Newman Enterprises...

Absolutely. Another issue is once the business storylines got involved in these 'media' companies (trying to be 'hip' a la Facebook etc) it's hard as an audience to care because there is no product, nothing tangible to understand.

Cosmetics made sense. It involved advertising, the Glow by Jabot Teens, the Brash & Sassy line, the photographers and the models...they really should dump all these nonsensical non-companies and get back to basics.

I agree. The closest JG has even gotten to that or a sense of an intriguing business story has been the current revenge plot with Victor, but really the original IPO Takeover plot that involved Nate and that's because the Winters have not been on opposing sides in ages...especially not Devon and Lily.

Yes to a return to Jabot.

And ditch Marchetti and any other companies associated.

Stories revolving around new products, influencers, sustainable products etc . Billy, Kyle, Audra, Sally etc all working at Jabot and balancing personal/professional interests.

Pull back on the billionaire aspects. Have Victor scale down Newman and semi retire.

I totally agree. And what bolstered the business story lines back in the day was the camera angles and background music because presentation elevates substance.

Y&R and B&B we're the only two soaps with interesting business stories.

Honestly, this and the former style of opening would've suited the 1999–2003 jazzier theme so much more.
