Awww. Dante can come over here and let me hold him.

Given what's coming story-wise, I knew there would be more focus on Dante. Moreso once Anna gave him that leave of absence...but DZ is just hitting it out of the park with me with Dante's reactions, POVs, and those eyes. Loooord. That said...NO to Dante/Liz outside of friendship. Liz already has THREE people on canvas if they want her to be with someone. All with proven history/chemistry.

Speaking of one of Liz's guys...oh, lord...Isaiah lol. Every time he looks at Jordan, his look reminds me of how Ric looks at Liz. I love this actor. I even enjoyed him and Jordan having dinner.

All I can say for Bad Guy Du Jour is that he must be watching all of them right now because he has not approached Holly at all yet. And that whole debriefing with my Beast, Anna, and Jason just seem like a case of the New/Old Writers not having better things for Jack to do more than it felt like recapping which is what it was supposed to be. And I'm surprised that Felicia did not catch on that Holly was fishing for info. That said...already reading the thread ahead of time, I still gasped at the Sasha bombshell. Well directed. And given the beginnings of Sasha's history (brought to town on a con)...that makes sense.

Well...at least Sam told Dante as the episode coda. Given how this is moving...and it's Wednesday, will Sam be the Friday cliffhanger or will Lulu waking up be it? Or a Friday for each one?

Carly is central, but beyond Sonny and Jason, that doesn't help very much. Even her knockoff daughter doesn't feel as prominent as she was. I think if that is his strongest tie he'll be lucky to last to Christmas, unless Van is content with just popping up every so often the way Terri and Brad do.

Sasha has been on for 6 years. To now, out of nowhere, suddenly tie this failed character to Holly is ridiculous. If they wanted to bring on Holly's daughter, she should be a new character, played by a charismatic newbie, not boring Sasha who should have been gone ages ago.

Sasha has been on this show for 6 YEARS!?!

I will say I was pretty shocked by the reveal.  Well, not really because I read this thread before it aired on the West Coast lol!   I think it's certainly a twist, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.  It came literally out of nowhere.  I think they are probably going to make her Robert's daughter too.  She'll obviously break up with Cody and I wonder if they are pivoting Sasha in a new direction or just going to have her leave the canvas all together with this random plot point.  I am not sure making Sasha Holly/Robert's kid makes her anymore useful than she was before.  Neither (R/H) appear that often or are on contract.

I wonder if this will just be angst for Sasha and Cody where Holly thinks she's Robert's daughter but she isn't. If not it would be ironic if keeping a paternity secret caused him and those around him a great deal of emotional distress, only for another paternity secret, a much more devastating one, to be hanging around the entire time.

If they do break them up I wonder what they would do with the characters. It's a shame they will never try with Cody/Tracy.

I suppose it could be angst for Cody/Sasha.  I really don't want Sasha to be in the GH history books as Robert/Holly's daughter.  That paternity lie would actually be the best route to go, but poor Holly.  It's like the show hates her.  She just keeps messing with Robert with her rando kids paternity lol.

I definitely need more details and backstory from Holly before I make a final decision on this reveal.  Right now, I am not liking it at all.  I just don't think I know enough to make a judgement at this point.

I don't necessarily want Cody/Tracy, but I think JK and JE could sell the hell out of it.

Maybe they could say her mother is Cheryl...

I saw some fans on Twitter talking about how little this makes sense with Sasha's backstory about a dead mother and grandmother, how Holly was in town several times when Sasha was there and never interacted with her even when Sasha was going through hell, how Sasha used her hair for DNA to help Cody and it came back as a negative for any relation, etc. So unless this is a fantastic story I'm not sure it is worth all the retcons, especially as Holly won't be around long (she never is).

I'm not sure if there's any longtime character on GH where I feel for their fans as much as I do with Holly.

(I guess there's Rick Webber, but the Chris Robinson version of that character always seemed kind of like a prick anyway)

    • I have to admit I still have a nagging complaint about timelines - Why aren't we allowed to know how long Ted and Nicole have been married or how old Kat and Eva are? Or for that matter, when Anita last released an album? BTG is a new show with no SORAS or timewarping. MVJ and Guza are working from a fresh bible. There is no need to be so coy about ages and anniversaries, especially when most of the storylines are driven by past events.
    • It was an extremely rare interview even then - I was shocked when I read it (as mentioned I'd forgotten just how far in she went).  Malone was clearly hobbled by NBC and P&G, but re-using so many of his old stories and his soap bible instead of actually coming up with material suited to the characters or show did not help.
    • Seeing this trash get good ratings says nothing good about daytime audiences. It's embarrassing.
    • Cat does feel committed to being a goofball (the other term has been reconsidered in recent years).  I wonder, given her brother Aaron, if Cat was less attractive prior to the surgery?  Remember the 1973 movie The Girl Most Likely to?  My fanfic for the moment is Cat commenting on how people treat her differently now that she is gorgeous.  One assumes that pre-surgery, Cat never had two men fighting over her for a date.  So, it might be fun to see that side of the story.
    • It's probably one of the only conflicts the story will have, aside from Dante being upset with Lulu when the truth comes out. They really needed someone else who actually knows Gio is Dante and Brook Lyn's son and kept quiet.
    • So Cat wasn't a creation of Ron C.. but something that the strike writers generated? Perhaps the new writers will give her some layers and purpose on the show that doesn't revolve around Chad since isn't he on his way out next year?
    • Another good show today, but -- Why is super agent Joss holding that thumb drive in plain sight instead of stashing it in her denim shorts? Make it make sense. -- Dante going after Gio (in the previews) for Rocco's alcohol poisoning is lame and cliche, just a contrived way to drive a wedge between father and son.
    • Didn't he get all angry because the strike writers set her up to be Abigail? And he just went with the first thing that came to mind in order to prevent that?

    • That was an incredible interview.  I cannot imagine it ever happening with a performer currently on a soap.  I remember being extremely disappointed in Michael Malone.  I wish we had all of the backstage scoop on where things went wrong with him.
    • Go 'head, Brandon!! I was worried about this meltdown, but he's giving a pretty good meltdown. Knowing when to do it and just the right moment to pull back a bit.    These Kat vs Eva scenes. The best soap rivalry has the rivals have some empathy for the others though they dislike each other. And they are giving.    Yay! A brief SilkPress vs Dani moment.
